I have never had Peri Peri Chicken before so I have no frame of reference to compare to other versions of this dish but I can say this was delicious! So much so I question how I got this far in life having never had it (Signs of a live spent wrong for me, haha!) The flavor of the chicken was totally amazing! I'm glad to have stumbled upon this place! Food here was super flavorful, and the chicken was grilled to perfection. We got the peri for two deal. Extra hot wings, mango lime chicken, and sides were spicy fries and jalapeño poppers. Also asked for some white sauce on the side for dipping. The extra hot was actually spicy with a real kick to it and the mango lime sauce was the perfect combination of sweet, tangy and savory. She usually goes in and picks up orders that she's called in. The food was good as usual. We had the chicken that comes with rice and a salad and an order of lamb chops. The lamb chops are seasoned so good and have a peri peri sauce that takes it over the top. The chicken and rice comes in 3 sizes and we usually get the largest one. I have friends that have been talking about this spot for months. I finally got around to checking it out and it didn't disappoint. We ordered some lamb chops and wings both with their "hot sauce". The flavors were excellent, the quality of the meat was good and the food came out piping hot. Just be warned that the lamb chops take a long home to make so plan accordingly. The best side on the menu was the peri peri rice. Next time around I'll be getting the extra hot all around. Luckily they have little dispensers filled with all of their available sauces. Probably the best halal chicken place in town. But the service in terms of wait times and delivery seriously needs to be addressed. You can't expect to have food an hour later after ordering. The owner is overwhelmed with the orders and she is understaffed. But she does try to accommodate your orders as much as she can. Over all a great place, adequately priced and a warm staff. The food is okay in my opinion and used to be better in my opinion. I know my friends and family enjoy their wings very much which I would recommend. There is minimum $40 required if want to use credit card which irks me. I understand there are credit card fees but the norm is $20 maximum at least for credit cards, never heard of $40 minimum. It would sound better if it was "cash only" because they don't have the system to take credit. The service is terribly slow, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 stars. If they say 30 minutes, it usually means an hour or more. This is also when they are not busy in the store. I believe it may be because they are either because short staffed or they do not have anything prepped in advance. I also remember they gave my freind a hard time to take the wing sauce on the side home for some reason. Found this unusual. Overall, I recommend eating the food at this place. I like the peri peri chicken they have at this location. I'm not a huge fan of spicy so I usually get the lemon pepper chick in. Really good with a lot of flavor. The rice is good too. I frankly haven't had anything from chick in that I didn't enjoy. My gripe is with the price they charge for the corn on the cob. It's frozen ears of corn and they charge an arm and a leg for the corn. I think it's crazy. I also have an issue with how little sauce they give you. You have the option of buying a small sauce for $5 if I remember correctly but it bothers me that when I eat there I have access to all the white sauce I like but when I take to go it's like pulling teeth to get more than a couple of small sauces. When my husband went to pick up half hour later, the guy who took the order stated that only credit card would be accepted with a $40 minimum!!! A $40 minumum!!! WHAT???!!!! My husband actually came back home to pick up cash. If I was there, I would have cancelled the order (although it was ready) and walked out! So after making two trips to pick up the food, : 1. The peri burgers were cold (obviously) and 2. The bread was so stale that we literally took the chicken out and ate it without the bun (less carbs, I guess!). I did call and let them know about my dissatisfaction and the young woman who answered the phone (not the owner) was very apologetic and asked that next time we let them know so they can make it up to us. However, lately there has been a lot of talk about this place so I decided to get the peri rice and some spicy fries. The food was really good and the different kind of sauces really help you customize the level of spice according to your taste. The owner recommended to try chicken on the bone so got some wings and chicken on the bone catered from them and everyone really liked it. I enjoyed the Peri Peri chicken. The owner/manager has a lovely British accent and explained Peri Peri sauce and the delicious Portuguese spices that go into the recipe. I went in and can honestly say it was delicious. When I was there, no one was there, but then again, it was 2 pm on a Tuesday. I did wait a while for my food, and it was worth it. I came here based on a search for halal place around my home. I always want to try out new locations with my family. It was Saturday at 7pm and my wife was hesitant to go inside since it was totally empty inside. There was one guy behind the counter cooking on the grill and 1 woman in the back cutting something. There were no paper menus and the menu board seemed very limited. I guess visual photos would have helped but there were just a few. I read about the peri wraps being good so I ordered one (1). The guy recommend the combo of 2 wraps with fries for $10.88...so I got that. My wife and son the other hand were still hesitant on ordering but I convinced them on some chicken tenders and some wings. All this time I didn't know what "peri chicken" was....but I like to try stuff. When the tenders came they looked like fish. Apparently these were just battered and then fried. Normally I think they're supposed to get a coating of flour. The fries were good. On the wings I got some mango and some mild. Both were extremely salty and the mango was awful. The wraps has one small piece of chicken and filled with lettuce and sauce and were quite small. The tables were sticky...the plates were dirty and we were offered metal utensils although I should've​ asked for plastic. Went here a few days ago. Tried 2 quarter chickens one wild the mild sauce and the other with mango lime sauce. The mild one is definitely better. The side portions are really small. Basic fries and yellow rice. The rice had flavor and that's about it. Nothing fancy about it. Now, if you are the type of person who likes to add more sauce to dip your chicken in, I don't blame you. The chicken has a nice char on it, which is then topped off with more of the sauce. But you always want more sauce for your sides, like dipping your fries into, maybe you want to add some to your rice, mashed potatoes etc. but then you look at the sauces they have on the table and the oil has separated and looks very unappetizing. The sauces they have in their containers are spoiled and have turned and I don't know why the restaurant doesn't notice? It's pretty disgusting. And obviously tastes rancid (Photo attached) On another note, maybe take your food to go because the place hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. A couple that came in after us I assumed wanted to dine at our exact same table that we were sitting at. After the rude piece of you know what staff member cleaned the table/chairs the couple swooped in and sat at the table while we stood there confused as to what was happening. When I was called for my food I addressed that scumbag in regards to why he rudely asked us to move and he said " I didn't want to spray you"... Um, how about an excuse me? The really good: Come here for the chicken and you won't be disappointed. You have your choice of sauces which are all very flavorful (also very hot, so heed caution if you can't handle heat). I've ordered from here quite a few times and each time the chicken was delicious. I sometimes find myself licking the plate clean. The good: The place itself is very very clean and not bad if you want to go in and sit. Plenty of TV's around and they always have sports on TV. A sleeper place to catch a game. So I went to eat at your restaurant this past weekend (last Saturday afternoon) and it was pretty empty, given it was the last day of Ramadan. Anyway, so as I was entering, a homeless black guy was standing outside and asked me for some change, but I didn't have cash on me so I asked him if I could buy him some food. So I asked him to come in with me and I asked him to order whatever he wanted. Your cashier was so horrible and made the man feel so ashamed. She wouldn't even speak to him, she looked at me and said I'm sorry ma'am but we can't serve these types of people, it's our policy. I told her that I'm buying and he will take it to go but she refused to take his order. I felt like shit and I'm sure the guy felt horrible. He left without a word. She said it's the restaurant policy so that he wouldn't harass people in front of the restaurant in the future (never mind the fact he was already in front of the restaurant anyway). I was so pissed and we should've left but I already dragged my husband and kid all the way there so I just ordered extra food and put it in a box to go so I could sneak out and give it to the poor man who was still outside.
