We ordered the special laghman with lamb, big plate of chicken, and nan. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Big hit of cumin and other spices. The lamb was so tender. All the dishes were reasonably priced. Service was fast and came with tea. Restaurant is on the smaller side but love the cozy feeling. And there's even a bathroom for the customers!

Food is good, it is authentic Chinese northwestern flavor, but the service is too bad, I will not go second time.

Came here for dinner. Very cozy restaurant. Food is prepared quickly and brought out as soon as it is made. Everything is halal. Friendly and kind staff. Food is full of flavor and tasty. Will return.

Dumpling made with lamb. You get a big portion for $15. They were ok.

Incredible Uyghur food not just for Flushing standards but for the entire city as a whole. Everything here is halal so that's a nice plus. Went with a group on a Thursday evening, and the place is fairly small with about 10 or so tables. There was only one server but since there was only one other occupied table, this wasn't an issue. Service was prompt and friendly and our server was willing to explain things to some in our group who weren't very familiar with Uyghur cuisine. The space also had nice vibes, clean with understated and tasteful decor on the walls. We had to get the special laghman because this spot is known for that, and you get the option of either lamb or beef. We ordered both varieties and they were both delicious. The meat was tender and they're loaded with fresh vegetables, with the mushrooms being a highlight. The sauce in particular was incredibly rich and savory and I was tempted to get an additional order of noodles on the side just to enjoy the sauce some more. It was that good. Others in our group ordered the stir fried noodles which I got to try; it wasn't saucy like the laghman but it was equally delicious. We also ordered the lamb dumplings, which was probably the weakest dish of the night. They weren't bad, and for $15 you get a large plate of them, meant to be shared or enjoyed as an entree. It's just that for the area you can get better dumplings for a cheaper price. I probably wouldn't order these again when I return, but the chili oil and black vinegar elevated them a bit. But the real highlight of the night had to be the lamb kebabs, spelled kawap here, served on skewers. They are $5 a pop, so they're not exactly cheap but they are worth every penny. Grilled and seasoned to perfection with tender meat, I genuinely think these are the best lamb kebabs I've had in the city, and I've had a lot from dining at many Middle Eastern restaurants. These blow them all away. If you visit, make sure to get one or two skewers for yourself along with your entree. Finally we had some milk tea, served in a bowl and not a cup like you might expect. It was rich, decadent, a little salty, and a great way to end a great meal. All in all, loved my experience here and I'm eager to go back.

Nurlan coincidently came across my FYP when I was in the area. I had never tried Uyghur food but I had heard good things. I was excited to try it. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a gosh nan which was delicious and a side of rice. I do regret not getting a noodle plate - I will have to go back. Service was quick and kind despite the language barrier. Ambiance is homey and casual.

Got the samsa and gosh nan which were similar, next time would just get one or the other (liked the samsa slightly more). Loved everything! Lamb shish kawap were flavorful! My favorite was the chicken rice!!!

Nurlan Uyghur is a nice halal spot in the midst of not many halal options in Flushing, NY. However, it could be a lot better. I went here with my parents and we got the big plate chicken, lamb kawap, laghman, and stir fried noodles. IMHO, stick to the noodles at this place. Both the laghman and stir fried noodles were great and worth the price. However, the other two dishes were lackluster. The big plate chicken still had the skin of the chicken attached to it which is not something I've seen before...plus it just had a super odd taste to it overall. The lamb kawap was simply too chewy and dry. All in all, I would go back but solely stick to the noodle dishes as their hand pulled noodles are quite good.

I ordered Polo and Vegetable Soup. The Polo was good, but the portion size was very small. The vegetable soup did not have any noodles in it nor much flavor. The price of the soup appeared $3 more on the bill than what it appears on the menu. I pointed this out and they made the correction. When the waiter brought back the bill for me to sign, he stood and stared the whole time while I was filling out the tip portion. I did not appreciate that.

Delicious food and great service! Come hungry as portions are large (and you'll want to eat it all). My fave was the chicken lagman which was packed with flavor and had such soft and juicy chicken! The noodles were also bouncy and such a great pairing. They were also very generous with the amount of meat they gave. Will be adding this to my typical rotation now!

This is one of the closest restaurants from the NewYork Presbyterian Hospital. For staff and visitors of the hospital, this is god-sent. Where can one find Uyghur cuisine in the US? Yet, from the hospital, Nurlan is a mere 5 minute walk. I walked here from the hospital and ordered 2 Lamb Kawabs (kababs, $3 ea) and 2 Samsas (like samosas, $3 ea) to go. The young man had no problem taking my order, yet he couldn't answer my questions. I tried both English and Mandarin to no avail. He ended up running to the kitchen and get the owner/chef out. Especially given the very ethnic decors, the whole experience really felt like I was out in the Northwest China! Actually I think all of the clientele look Eurasian. A very special experience for me. As for the food, the kababs, since it's to go, looked a bit pathetic due to the lack of fanfare of metal skewers. The taste was good. The samsas were OK. They didn't taste as satisfying as the Indian samosas that I'm more used to. I would definitely come back if I visit the hospital again. I realize I still need to try the Laghman!

I haven't tasted food this good since China. The karou (kabob), soup, fried rice, everything brought back lots of memories and I loved the food. This place also has reasonable prices and although it's not upscale I have never had more fresh food!

Have been wanted to try this restaurant, they have other locations this one is in Flushing on Main Street across from Queens botanical Garden. It is a small restaurant, the menu is in three languages. We ordered Gosh Nan, it is a pie that has lamb stuffing inside seasoned just right and a nice crispy crust outside, you must have. Qazan Kawap, comes in a small or large plate we ordered a small, it is stir fried slices of Lamb with a hint of szechaun peppercorn just the right amount. Stir fried noodles, it is nice chewy texture, they make there own noodles in house. Big plate chicken, it comes in two sizes, we had the small which was pretty big for a small plate, it was like regular stew chicken. All food is cooked to ordered, they serve there in house tea, this is a first no tap water is served in this restaurant . Staff is helpful and friendly. Will come back and try other dishes.

I wasn't very familiar with Afghan cuisine or what to expect from a halal döner kebab restaurant, but my experience was excellent. One thing I really appreciated was the open kitchen concept. As soon as you walk in, the kitchen is right there on the side, allowing you to watch the food being prepared. Everything feels transparent and fresh. I ordered the chicken gyro, which was packed with flavor and incredibly juicy. I also tried the lamb tikka and beef kofta. Watching the cooks prepare the meat on the large skewers over the grill made the experience even better. The meal came with rice and a side salad, making for a satisfying and well-balanced plate. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.

You get two tender thighs and a drumstick, all seasoned and spiced perfectly. The long grain rice is delicious, and the portions are genuinely massive for the price. The side salad and vegetables balance everything out nicely so the meal doesn't feel heavy. They include three sauces on the side, but honestly the chicken is flavorful enough on its own that I haven't really needed them. When I went in person to pick up my order, the place was really clean and well-kept, which I always appreciate. I also noticed they have desserts, so I'll definitely be trying those next time. I'd recommend ordering in person if you can -- you'll skip the extra Uber Eats fees and get the same great food for less. Hidden gem on Northern Blvd.

It's a small place with around six tables and three staff members (two in the kitchen and one taking orders, serving, bussing, and cleaning). Not the most glamorous vision of a restaurant, right? But the food is tasty! We had the summer rolls, peppered calamari, the signature pho, and the beef short-rib pho. The summer rolls and calamari were good, you could taste the freshness of the veggies and shrimp. I wish the calamari had been a bit crispier and seasoned with a touch more salt and pepper, but it was still very good. The real reason I'll be coming back is the pho broth. Some people might describe it as slightly sweet, but to me, it had a rich, balanced flavor. I'm not sure if the short rib is available all the time (it does have a lot of fat, as beef short rib often does), but it was flavorful. Definitely coming back to try more.
