Delicious, filling, and inexpensive! I ordered the P3 with gyro meat and chicken. It came with a cucumber tomato salad, gyro meat and chicken on rice, pita bread, and hummus. It also came with 2 different white sauces on the side. All that was for $7.99. It was so good. It's pretty big inside and there is plenty of room to sit. I also ordered a baklava, which I loved. The only thing I didn't like is how the girl who was taking my order was on the phone with 2 different customers at the same time. It's understandable though, we all need to make money. read more

We tried a chicken #2 plate and a beef shawarma #3 plate. Both of the meals we got were great with big portions of food. Enough of the #2 was saved for a second lunch. The chicken we got had something really spicy on it as well as the "white sauce." Spice is good by us but just be aware, it caught us off guard. At the time of going they were still working through a few of the kinks (they forget my pita bread on a to go order which I realized when I got home) including just generally running around from taking orders to expo hot dishes. As mentioned our order we took to go so did not eat in the place but it did have a nice looking patio which I believe was dog friendly so hoping to walk back over there one of these times with the pooch. Given the proximity to our place we will likely be going back and would recommend it to others. It is not quite the Halal spot in NY if you have been, but it's definitely a solid choice for Texas! read more

I have to leave a review for this place... and let me start by saying I even lived in the Middle East for a year playing professional basketball... so I ate a lot over there! This was possibly the best Mediterranean food I've had. The flavors in everything were just bursting. Nothing was bland, nothing over-salted. Often you find authentic middle eastern food that is either way too spicy, salty, or way over seasoned for the American palette. But not here. I had the roasted chicken and beef kebab P4 with jalepeno sauce on the side. The jalapeño sauce was not at all spicy, which I liked, and everything was top notch. The beef kebab was greasy compared to the chicken, but you need to have some fat for kebab to have flavor. Beware that shawarma (the gyro looking spools you see) are never made in-house so that may have a generic flavor. If you're looking for the real deal go with the roasted chicken instead. I'm from out of town otherwise I would be a regular here for sure! read more

Delicous food and great, friendly service. I ordered take-out, and told Mohammad it was my first time to the restaurant. He brought me and my friend a small plate of food to try while we were looking at the menu. He was so friendly and helpful with picking out dishes for us to order. We ordered several of the platters and a few sides. The P4 with lamb and the P4 with chicken were my favorites...the creamy jalepeno sauce on the chicken had a nice kick to it made the dish quite good. I also liked the side of roasted cauliflower. My kids really enjoyed the lamb, as well as the P1 with chicken. My mom is mostly vegetarian, and she was able enjoy several of the dishes. She really liked the falafel, the roasted eggplant, and also the cauliflower. She told me that she's going to tell her friends about the restaurant and try to eat there again soon. As for me, I'm definitely going to eat here again, and work my way through the entire menu. Everything was good. Oh, one final thought...while we were waiting for our take-out order, we bought a canned drink that was really good...I had never heard of it before: Vimto. It was like a lightly carbonated fruit soda that originates from England, but is a popular drink on the Arabian peninsula and is especially popular to drink at the end of the day during Ramadan. read more

After a few trips and yummy meals...it's time to review! This is the type of food I enjoy. Protein, flavorful and filling. My first trip, I ended up here on accident (kinda). Hunger struck after a quick shopping trip in the area and I saw "Halal". The only experience I have with Halal is Halal Bros near campus (only had it once, and it was not that great of an experience). Stopped in and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. He walked me through the menu and explained what everything was (I'm a little new to this type of food..). After explaining, I decided on the P2 with chicken and gyro. YUM. Tasted extremely fresh and the white sauce on the meat and salad was delicious. Every time I order, I get the meal quickly and a happy staff that takes my order and hands the food over. This isn't the most ideal location for me to get food from, but making the little trip across I35 is worth the delicious food. Also...it's SO MUCH FOOD. I can turn one order into 2-3 meals. Oh my goodness! New spot in the Mueller development. Tried this place for the first time this past Monday and this is definitely a winner! They folks are extremely nice and since it was my first visit, they insisted I try almost everything. After all those samples, I was barely hungry. But I ended up ordering the P1 with gyro meat and roasted cauliflower. It comes over rice with a salad and is topped with the creamy jalapeno sauce. Hold your horses.....yes, I said creamy, but it's not really cream! They get it that way with egg whites, so for the lactose sensitive you're all good. And that red sauce is divine...appropriately spicy for me and I have a high heat tolerance. I tasted the chicken and that would have been my other choice, but I needed to feel better about myself and got cauliflower instead of 2 meats. There was even an inspector there while I was ordering and she was eating some of their food so I knew it was clean back in the kitchen. Run there as fast as you can. Really, really good. Very clean and well-organized restaurant. Lots of parking since it is at the opposite end of the Home Depot parking lot. Halal/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/etc. food is highly varied as the Med is quite large as is the Middle East itself. This restaurant is run by Jordanians (they had four travel posters from Jordan on the wall and I have been to each location) and they do not disappoint. Super healthy, absolutely delicious food. The falafel was just perfect. It's a paper plates and napkins kind of place, very casual with an uptown decor. Will be a regular there. I frankly think the other reviewers must have hit a sour note or something, my experience was memorable both from a food and service standpoint. read more

Per usual, decent bread and feta add to the staples that you would typically expect to find at such an eatery. Last time I went, there was an extended wait to get my food, post-ordering, overall a little slow for counter service. A simple menu affords diners less choices, which I can appreciate. My boyfriend and I were craving for some halal guys. We loved the one in New York, so we decided to come here to try. When we first got there, we were greeted by the owner! Very very nice guy. He even gave us samples before we ordered the food so we could try the sauces. We ordered the jalapeño creamy meat plate (P1) and the White House sauce meat plate (P2). Both sauces tasted very good!! Not as good as the halal guys in New York, but close. The prices were reasonable, the portions are very generous! The only downfall of this place is, the rice is too dry. I'm not being picky of the rice because I'm Asian, it was actually pretty dry with the sauce! I had to drench the sauce so it would taste better! Other than that, it was good! read more

I'll make this a short review. Great place when you want some healthy food and not spend much. Well rounded meals, good portions and most under $10. I absolutely love this place! I usually get the P1 dish, which comes with half salad, and half rice with your choice of 2 proteins, and a creamy jalepeno sauce. I usually get roasted chicken and their falafel as my 2 proteins, but I've also tried their beef and lamb, which are excellent as well. I love how their portion sizes are substantial and prices are fair and reasonable- perfect if you want to get the balance of carbs and veggies, without breaking the bank!
