He got my food out quickly, checked on me throughout the meal without being intrusive, and before I left, he thoughtfully brought me a wonderful cup of tea to finish the evening. His warm smile, positive attitude, and professionalism made a great meal even more memorable. Restaurants can serve excellent food, but great hospitality is what keeps people coming back. We came from Cleveland to Detroit for a concert and wanted to take the opportunity for my partner to try authentic Colombian food for the first time. For that reason, the disappointment was all the greater. We ordered three empanadas, two buñuelos, and two hot dogs. Unfortunately, the food fell far short of our expectations. The empanadas had a thick, raw dough; the buñuelos were undercooked, heavy, and tasteless; and the hot dogs were not only disappointing compared to the pictures, but also in taste, which was nothing like what one would expect. However, the most unpleasant part of the whole experience wasn't just the food, but the way our dissatisfaction was handled. We were told to call the owner, but instead of receiving a professional response or at least a willingness to listen, we were met with a defensive, offensive, and completely inappropriate attitude.
