This place was clean, casual, open kitchen. It has a restroom and its own parking lot. The service was excellent, cashier made suggestions offered to try a sauce. The food was hot, fresh, and a great value. The portion was generous. I got a mixed platter of lamb and chicken. It comes with fried, salad, rice and I especially loved how the containers to go were compartmented.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Halal Grill Eats!! I kept seeing the coming soon signs and I waited with much anticipation! They finally opened on Feb 5th, and I was not disappointed! Plenty of parking in their small lot. There are a few tables for dine-in but most ppl take out. They're great for late night eats and close at midnight daily. This is great since late night eats are slim pickings on Long Island. They have a pretty large menu. Lots of choices! The have the usual chicken & lamb platters but they also have a wide range of chicken wing flavors. They even serve quesadillas, burgers, seafood, loaded fries, chicken fingers, subs/wrap sandwiches, and salad bowls. Wow, what variety! See my photos for their full menu! There is definitely something for everyone. On this visit, I got: -- Chicken & Lamb Platter over rice, with salad and French Fries ($13): this platter was massive! The meats were very fresh and didn't seem to be sitting around for too long. The French Fries were surprisingly delicious. The salad was pretty basic, and I was surprised that they didn't ask what I wanted in my salad; especially since they have a wide array of items for the salad on display. Try to catch the person making your platter and tell them what you'd like in your salad. (They won't ask you). I was able to add some chickpeas last minute, which made the salad better. Also ask for dressing; there is no dressing on the salad. **Ask for extra sauce for your platter, as they don't really give that much sauce. I got extra white and hot sauce on the side. -- Chicken Wings (10pcs/$15): you can order 6, 10 or 20 piece wings (with or without bones), and you can pick among 8 different sauces. I picked their Mango Habanero Sauce. which had a slight kick to them. Honestly, the Habanero Wings weren't that spicy....at first! But after the 2nd wing, you will slowly feel the spicy burnnnn...they were fantastic!! I appreciated that the wings were meaty and not all bones. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces for your wings, so ask them for it. All in all, this was a great first experience. There were slight issues with mixing up our orders, but luckily, I caught the mistake and left with the corrected order. I'll mark that up to growing pains since they just opened 4 days ago. Customer service was very friendly! Great addition to the neighborhood! I look forward to return visits. Welcome and Good Luck to Halal Grill Eats!!

We kept passing by this place for weeks seeing the "Opening Soon" sign, so once they finally opened we had to stop in and try it out and I'm glad we did! Right away the staff was super welcoming and the restaurant itself was very clean. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted and you can see a huge menu with a lot of options, so there's definitely something for everyone. We ordered the jerk chicken platter ($13) with white sauce, hot sauce, and barbecue sauce, and they did not hold back on the portions. It came with a LOT of food and the flavors were on point. The sauces honestly made the whole meal even better very flavorful and tasteful. We also tried the kofta kabob ($14) which came with fries, rice, and a salad. Everything was fresh, filling, and seasoned well. Again, the portions were really good for the price.Overall, great first experience, great food, and great service. I'll definitely be back to try more items off the menu!

I personally disliked the burger spot sauce (more like a mayo). Instead I ordered a honey mustard sauce which tasted great. Service was fast and friendly. It's been about 4 years since I've been to The Burger Spot, but the food and service is still as great as I remember it to be. I used the ordering service through their website and put in my order for pickup. I walked into The Burger Spot and went to the cashier. My order was behind the counter and ready for pickup. My go to speciality burger is Swiss ($15.95). Swiss comes with swiss, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Burgers are served with fries. The burger was juicy and just the way I remember it to be. The fries are very crispy and the white sauce it comes with is very good. My husband ordered one of the specials, the Tamarind Cilantro Chicken Sandwich ($16.54). This sandwich is grilled chicken with pepper jack cheese, avocado, arugula, topped with homemade Tamarind cilantro salsa on ciabatta. The sandwich was also served with a side of fries, but you can substitute it for others like he chose 1/2 Sweet Potato / 1/2 Onion Rings for $2.07 more. There were only a few onion rings, but they are big. The sandwich was packed with flavors. The Burger Spot is the spot for burgers and fries. There are a few tables inside and when the weather is nice, there are tables set up outside as well. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Of course, this set off a craving when I got back to NY, so I went to the Five Guys in Garden City Park. Prices were slightly higher but the burger was just as good. Kudos to Five Guys for consistency! ** Don't forget to get your free peanuts! (Self serve). One of the perks of going to Five Guys! I really appreciated that all burgers are made to order, so you're guaranteed a fresh burger. Also, you can get all the toppings you like without an upcharge. The burgers are pricey enough without having to pay extra for toppings! The first time, I got my burger "all the way" with all the trimmings... believe it or not, this may have been too many trimmings?!?! It was a hot mess to eat, and I ended up taking some of the trimmings out. For me, simpler is better. The 2nd time I went, I ordered just 3 trimmings and I really enjoyed my burger so much more. Sometimes, less is more! I must add that their fresh cut fries are fantastic....don't skip the fries! Customer service was friendly, accommodating and fast! By the time I got some free peanuts to go, my burger order was ready. I would definitely return the next time I'm craving a burger!

I entered this beautiful store and found it tidy and neat. A beautiful red smash burger sign greets you upon entering. They had my attention, after all, I saw red! ( Just a little pun). Walking up to the counter I saw not workers in sight or on site, which ever you chose, so I stood there for 3 minutes. Someone finally came to the front and just started staring at me. No proper greeting, no welcome to Smash Burger, home of the good burger. (I'm acting a little wiftey). I begin to ask questions in order to make the best of my visit. I asked if they had turkey burgers and crinkled cut fries. She said no and no was just that, no means no, no suggestive selling, just flat out no. I am not ready to consume beef so I opted out. Improvements needed- when a customer enters the store, greet them and ask them how you can help them if they ask for something off of the menu, stir them to what's on the menu. It's obvious that they are unfamiliar with the menu, try to keep them in the store to make the sale by telling them what you do have; like, we have hotdog's, chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries. Give them a reason not to leave and don't say no for the customer, let the customer make that "no" decision. Based on customer service and not trying to score the saie, I initially was giving 3 but I'll knock a half Star off, rounded down to make two stars. If I'm in the area, I'll stop in to see if improvements are made and give a satisfactory rating That's all I have to offer... Oh!! and.... Inspire more, Yelp more!
