Came here with my girls one night and I loved the service and food. The owner was very attentive and sweet, you could tell he did not only care about his establishment but was also very hands on. I had the Portobee burger, a cheese stuffed portobello mushroom burger, truffle fries and the blackberry cheesecake shake. The truffle fries were to die for and the shake was really creamy and had the perfect amount of tartness from the black berries. The burger was great too, it reminded me of my favorite burger from shake shack - the portobello burger, but I just wish it was a little bigger! I can't really complain though because for the price you are paying, the taste and quality does match up. I just wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for a bigger burger. read more

Been here a few different times mainly for pick up. We've tried their hot chick, original, Oklahoma, stuffed, and triple bee. The hot chick is our favorite. The original and Oklahoma are good, the stuffed was ok and the triple bee was disgusting! I took 1 bite of it and spit it out and threw the rest of the burger away. I can't even describe the taste it was so gross! Their fries and tots are yummy. The chicken nuggets were good but on the dry side. Sauce should be be included with the nuggets but they charge 50 cents for any sauce which is annoying. I understand charging for extra sauces but a few should be complimentary. read more

So came to this new joint with my sister and cousin, they all about that zabiha life. I got the triple bee, one got the Serrano and the third was very unsure. We were greeted by the splendid Fatima. Approached us and when realized that we were unsure she recommended the newest burger the nacho burger. All three were amazing. And Fatima was awesome. Took care of our orders followed up after the order all while running the front desk all alone on a busy Sunday afternoon. Amazing spot great food and phenomenal staff. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I was really excited to try it based on the reviews. Maybe it's a hit or miss type of thing, this was definitely a huge miss. Burgers are not much bigger than the size of White Castle. Seriously, not much bigger than a Pringle (see picture). SUPER SOGGY, with a cheap bun that looks like it came out of the $0.99 bun pack you get from the supermarket. My order was supposed to come with onion rings, apparently they ran out. So what do they do? Write "onion rings missing" on the receipt. This was an Uber delivery, so now I have to go through the trouble of filing a claim with them for my $4. Not worth it. But since the burger spot was getting paid regardless, maybe send a replacement? Also, if your trying to get the halal "American Burger" experience, you won't find that here. read more

Growing up in the neighborhood I remember what this place use to look like as a crown fried chicken and I must say it's such a nice dramatic change (on the inside in terms of decor). My boyfriend and I came in around 10:30 one night about 30 minutes before closing, and after we came there were a lot of others who ordered. I appreciate places that continue to take orders even when they're close to closing. We ordered 2 original burgers with fries and strawberry milkshake and a sprite. Everything came up to about $23. Typically around the price we'd pay at shake shack, maybe slightly less. My strawberry milkshake came out first, and as someone who loves milkshakes, I must say this was surprisingly good. Very simple, sweet and thick with strawberries mixed in. I was very pleased it wasn't watered down and even as we eat our burgers it didn't water down or melt quickly. Burgers are made to order on the spot so it wasn't stale when we got them. The meat was very juice and soft and the buns were equally soft. I enjoyed my burger and milkshake. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because the burgers are small proportionally. I was filled with the addition of fries but if you want a comparison, I'd say a bit smaller than a shake shack burger for about the same price (if I recall the price correctly). However, I think Halalbee's nails the "quality over quantity". I'll definitely be coming back to try another burger! read more

Serrano was delicious. I'm not even from NY but whenever I come to queens I go to this spot! Food has been great twice and I've tried something new each time. These are the best halal burgers in the vicinity. There is no other place that makes a halal burger that isn't overly seasoned/greasy/salty etc. the portion is great. The meat could be a little better but it's not bad for a place just starting out. The truffle fries are good, fried well again for a halal place. Most of the ones around here sell greasy fried products. These are crispy and flavorful and you can sure taste the truffle oil. Good luck to the establishment. read more

There with a group from work, in town for work, and saw this come up on yelp. Small space, but plenty of tables, and a nice clean restroom. I am a harsh critic, I admit. With that said, I give Halalbee's 4 stars. They deserve 5, but the fried pickles didn't cut it for me. The corn meal was over cooked on the fried pickles. So me and my buddy got 2 Oklahoma burgers and honestly, they tasted great. I should have said no lettuce and tomato, but didn't think they come with the burger. The burger was cooked just right. The patty itself was the perfect size. When the juices start flowing out of a burger and you can taste the freshness, you know a burger is done right. The sweet potato fries, they also tasted delicious. Crunchy, sweet, and not cold. The freshness is there and the price point is just as great. This burger can go head to head with Shake Shack and can easily out do Shake Shack. You get more at Halalbees compared to Shake Shack. But, the fried pickles just didn't do it for me. Maybe it is because I'm not used to eating fried pickles, or maybe because it wasn't cooked right? Who knows. The menu is small which means you'll get quality. The decor is very simple yet artsy. I recommend this place if you are in town or feel like driving down here. Btw, did I mention, it's Halal? Yep, a halal burger joint that actually sells quality fresh burger, not the frozen burgers for Muslim folks anymore! Then again, I eat anything! Came here when it first opened and it took at least 5 minutes for my mind to register the whole menu. There are so many cool items and everything looked so good! I ended up ordering the lunatic with a side of fries and a milkshake and their breaded chicken nuggets. The food came out quick considering how packed the place was and the taste was delicious. I tried halalbees for the first time when I was pregnant as I was craving a chicken sandwich. What caught my eye about the sandwich was the ghost mayo since I love spicy food. The sandwich was unfortunately underwhelming. The ghost mayo was not spicy at all and the sandwich was overall meh. There was no crunch to the chicken and it was kind of just a soggy mess. The truffle fries are amazing though. I have since tried their burgers and they are much better than the chicken sandwich. So far I've tried the original and the Serrano. The original was great but the Serrano was a little dry. Their sweet potato fries and mixed tots are great, but the most notable thing on their menu is their chicken nuggets. Wow!! Ever since I had them I've been craving them. They are seasoned perfectly and you get a good amount for the price. I could eat their nuggets every day, seriously they are that good. My family and I went to Halalbee's last night, the burgers were juicy and fresh, I had the lunatic and I loved the spice level, it had jalapeño slices and ghost pepper mayo I'd recommend it over their regular burger. Even the kids 2 & 4 enjoyed the food. It's good to find a halal place that doesn't serve frozen (read flavorless) patties! All things said the service could use a little help, we were a table of 7, 5adults 2 kids, we sat ourselves down and pulled up the chairs and even though they had a full staff no one offered to help. The overall attitude was also a lil cold and aloof and lacked the general warmth you'd expect from a restaurant. Honestly didn't expect TOO MUCH coming into here. I've had a good share of halal burgers, and none were that great, usually never warranted me ever going back there. However, this place was flat out amazing. I got a double decker with a vanilla sky shake and man the burger was absolutely delicious. The meat was just so juicy and it was drenched in delicious cheese. I honestly haven't tasted any burger that good in a while. I love shake shack but this place really had it beat! Good food but customer service seems like it can be worked on. When placing my order the guy seemed very confused and keep asking me "anything else" before ringing it up which led to him forgetting what i was saying. Just take your time, there's no rush. They are also very skimpy on the condiments. Gave a small cup, half filled with sauce, for the nuggets which was hardly enough for 2-3 nugget pieces! As a new establishment you should be doing the most to keep customers coming back. I dont like to have to ask for extra all the time. You can clearly tell the amount of sauce given isnt enough. read more
