Had zero expectations bc I wanted burgers and this was just the closest to where I was at the moment. Had the Serrano burger with truffle fries and..... it..... was...... REALLY GOOD! I've only ordered take-out so I can't comment on the dine-in experience or staff friendliness. But their burgers are absolutely amazing! The buns are soft and slightly sweet and the beef is juicy. Not to mention their ingredients are super fresh. I've had the original, double decker, the stuffed, and the hot chick. Their fries are possibly the most addicting thing I've had. I was so excited to try the food here, and I wasn't disappointed! I went in last week and ordered the Oklahoma burger, Lunatic burger and the mixed fries for takeout. The service was great, the decor and overall vibe is much appreciated in the area and wait time was minimal. Extra points for packing everything so neatly. The burgers were wrapped and then boxed making everything still neat and appetizing by the time we got home. The Lunatic burger was absolutely delicious as was the Oklahoma and the mixed fries were crispy and well seasoned. This is the second time I went here. The first time, my experience was amazing, I was very happy with the service and the owner was very welcoming . Today I had a horrible experience. I was met by another guy, who claimed to be the ownert. He was dismissive, didn't tell me of any specials or any promotions, and treated me as if he was doing me a favor by serving me. After paying for my order ( 4 burger meals), I was waiting for my food and I noticed on a tv screen on the corner there was a promotion for a family meal. it was not busy, I was the only customer in the store so I approached the manager and asked him if he could accommodate me as I was not aware of the promotions. His reply was " because of the system, I can not change anything, I can not give u a refund, I cant do anything for you. he said to me .. it looks like its the first time you are ordering in a restaurant... u have to look at the menu and order,.,, I told him there was nothing online, and the staff didn't tell me about any promotions, or where to look to find any deals ( at tv screen on the side). All in all this so called owner was very unprofessional, condescending, rude, and a douchebag. at the end I told him his customer service was appalling and this is not a way to keep customers happy or coming back,,... he offered me 2 free cans of soda ( as if I am thirsty for a handout) ,.... very disgusted!!!!!!!!! I ended up finding the place thanks to ubereats, it was an option for free delivery so i said why not. I briefly skimmed through the reviews and saw there were many good reviews so I hurried up to place my order since Uber eats has you on a timer for free delivery! Let's start with the original burger, I would give it a 3 out of 5. I added bacon. Wasn't the best burger i ever had but wasn't the worse. I was expecting something more, based on the wonderful reviews. But to me, I didn't care for the burger. I'm not sure if it was the burger that I got, or maybe i was suppose to send instructions on how i wanted it cooked? No idea. The fries however were really good. Even though they arrived cold, they were still tasty. You don't find that often. Food here is spectacular and the staff is super friendly and nice. They're patient and kind and will explain their menu options to annoying customers with a million questions (IT MEEEEE). I got the mile high burger with portabello mushroom maple beef bacon, a beef patty and mild chedar while my wife got the Triple bee maple beef bacon beef patty and blue cheese we also got the pumpkin pie milkshake and it was everything. The burgers came out fresh and delicious, we had the lunatic, regular cheeseburger and the hot chick, with fries, chicken nuggets and a caramocha milkshake. Everything was as it should've been and how we wanted it. The staff even brought over two free sauces for us to try, a chipotle mayo and a spicy ghost pepper mayo? I went here on a Saturday afternoon about 4:35pm. When I entered there was a fair number of people inside eating. There was a table for two available as well as plenty wall/window seats.(see photos if this terminology confuses you) At about 4:47pm a crowd came in! There weren't all together and then the place filled up. Service: The cashier was a younger guy with glasses and he was very helpful. I asked questions which he was happy to answer. I ended up getting the stuffed burger after punking out of getting the lunatic burger which he said was very spicy. I like spice, but I don't love it and I'm not one of those people who just can't eat food without pepper sauce. As such, I opted for a burger that would not tarnish my Yelp review. The staff was cleaning tables right after patrons left which I liked. Everyone who worked there was pleasant. I also enjoyed seeing the owner in the kitchen/in the trenches seeing his dream manifest! Location: Right next to IS238 aka Susan B Anthony Junior High School. There is a bus stop right in front of the school if you're traveling eastbound. There's a bus stop at Avon and Hillside if you're traveling to the west (aka towards Jamaica Avenue). The restaurant is a minute or less walk to the bus stop. The F train is a few blocks away if you exit the front of the train coming from Manhattan. Food: As a few people have commented the burgers are small. Granted since most of us are used to the Standard American Diet and it's corresponding portions, it's natural you would think this burger is small. Objectively speaking, the portion is what we should have and it's no smaller than a Shake Shack Burger. The meat was good and everything tasted fresh. Since I typically eat grass fed/grass finished beef, the taste was the same as what I have at home. If you're used to regular beef then I'm sure this will knock you off your feet. I definitely am happy with the meat and wish I wasn't "immune" to the taste so I could rave about it more in this review. However if it's any consolation, if it tasted like McDonald's or Wendy's beef/burgers, I would taste it instantly and then would be calling them out. Long way of saying the meat is what they proclaim which is why it costs more than its competitors in the area. The truffle fries were excellent! These guys must have stock in the truffle oil and parmigiana cheese- the taste was equally distributed through out the fries from the first bite to the very last! I was pleasantly surprised!! Fries are regular cut... not waffle or wedge- regular. Sorry if that isn't helpful check out my picture. Cost: The burger was $6.95 and the Truffle fries were $4.95. This isn't a bad price for quality beef. If you want cheap questionable meat you can hit up Checkers or McDonald's or one of the random Crown Fried places in the area. I was so excited to find out their was a burger joint in the neighborhood- even more excited to find out it was Halal. I have yet to eat in- but both times I ordered delivery/pick up from Halalbee's the food was very good! I really like their classic burger and their truffle fries. The idea milkshake is great as well. I took one star off because the food was almost cold on my last delivery and the shake almost melted, that may have more to do with Uber eats than Halalbee's, though. I have a relative that only eats halal food that is coming to visit so very excited to be able to take them to this restaurant. Nice burger joint on a busy street in Queens. There is definitely a calling for a good halal burger joint in NY. Service was good and prompt - stand in line and order your food at the counter. Parking in the area is a little tricky. Not too fond of the fries- go for the onion rings instead. Every was ok, no major complaints. After hearing so much buzz about this place within the Bengali community, I had to go and try it myself! Now, I don't particularly care for halal vs. non-halal, but it's pretty rare to see actually good quality halal burgers, so I was pleased that this place opened. My fiancé and I got the Lunatic burger ($7.95), which was absolutely delicious. The bacon was definitely the addition we needed to halal burgers, and the gouda was a nice complement. We also got an order of regular fries ($1.95) & truffle fries ($4.95) - undoubtedly yummy! My only very small criticism: I wasn't asked how I like my patty to be cooked. I like my burgers medium-rare, but the patties here are well done. Which I get, since it's a halal establishment, but I think think it could've been medium at the very least! Wait time was also a bit long (around 15 mins), but I'm sure the business will improve on that over time. Overall, we were both really content with the food! We went to Halalbee's off a wimp. It opened up around me a few months ago and we've seen other yelp reviews but weren't sure cause we're definitely shack shake lovers. Went on a Thursday evening around 6. It was quite empty the cashier was super friendly and gave us his suggestions on what to order based on what we liked. We ended up ordering the stuffed , the hot chick, regular fries , sweet fries [sweet potato fries] and some nuggets. All that for 24 dollars ! We decided to eat there and the cashier bought our food to us. And they gave us some free fried pickles. Everything taste really good especially the sweet potato fries ! I love Burgers. Infact.. I love them so much.. I'm made well well over 300+ times and perfected my own style. I'm always excited to see a new burger joint. I was even more excited to see a Halal Burger joint. Not only a Halal burger joint, but a Halal GRASS FED burger joint! The taunting of "coming soon" was a bit too overwhelming... Why? Because if you know Halal (Halal is not cart food!) or Kosher food, you know it's not cheap and let alone when the meat is grass fed. Finally after it has opened and I struggled to not go there during opening day.. today I made it happen! Walked in, liked the vibe and decore. The staff was friendly. The menu is clean, clear and straight forward. Prices are AMAZING again for the quality. I got the Lunatic burger & sweet potato fries. The Lunatic burger had Maple Beef ! Say what?! The bun was soft but not soggy with the smoked ghost mayo. The Patty has an excellent char crust, always cooked to a medium to maintain the quality and simplicity. The Gouda is pronounced but not potent (for those who aren't used to stronger cheese smell) and the ghost pepper sauce is good but not to the level ghost peppers are meant to be but it's good. Bacon was slightly sweet and not over powering and delicious. The sweet potato fries were just "perfect!" I was asked " how would you compare this to Shake Shack?!" I say... It's better! Why? Grass fed beef, cheap pricing and not being a chain beats Shake Shack anyway. Now can there be improvements? Sure.. but I'm perfectly content with what is being served. Sorry for the long post! I must say, a really good effort in attempting to present a decent halal burger place one wouldn't mind dinning in, especially for the neighborhood it's in. I would've given this place a 2-star rating otherwise. First, the price. Given that it's grass-fed and all, $5 for a classic burger (no sides) is not bad. Other than the classic, I also tried the Lunatic ($7.95) and the Triple Bee ($7.95) burgers. The prices for the burgers alone may seem a bit high, but since it's a "premium" burger place it's actually not that bad. However, they are definitely really small in size. Same with the fries; we initially thought they gave us small fries by mistake when we actually ordered large. Next, the patties. They were really dry, possibly not enough fat-lean portion. It also had a faint smell, which could be ignored if you don't have a strong sense of smell. What I really wish they would change is the bun. It's basically looked and tasted as the small buns that you can find in any warehouse clubs. On the other hand, $2 for a soda bottle was good. Truffle fries were also good, but again not a fan of the portion compared to the price. Don't get me wrong. I get it, it's a "premium" burger spot or at least that's what they are going for. If that's the case, the quality should match that. Overall, it's a decent place with good service and a lot of potentials. As far as the burgers go, not something I would go back for. read more

I love when good food just finds me and that's exactly what I happened when I came across Halalbee's. I was so hungry on a Saturday night and another restaurant I planned on going to closed early unexpectedly. I quickly came on Yelp and saw Halalbee's was still open so I decided to give them a try and I'm so so glad I did. Upon entering I was greeted immediately and the person behind the counter walked me through the menu so kind of him. He explained to me that the beef was grass fed and it was 80% meat and 20% fat. Not bad at all, so in sense I was eating healthy right? lol. I decided to go for the stuffed burger and truffle fries to go. The food did not take long to come out and it was piping hot when it did. I was in the car but the ride just became too long and I decided to indulge. Guys! You can taste that the beef was good stuff. It was thick patty but not greasy at all. It tasted fresh and was seasoned well. It was stuffed with fontina cheese which I've never had but it went well with the burger. As for my truffle fries I loved them! Hot and crispy and the truffle seasoning was yummy yum yum. I could have had a bucket of them alone! I wished I would have tried a milkshake that would have just completed my wonderful meal. All in all, I had such a good experience here. The staff was so nice and welcoming and the food was delicious. I definitely want to return to try some of their other menu options.
