This curiosity led me to West Chelsea Cellars Contemporary gallery on 6 th. Street. They also have a presence in New York's Chelsea district. The gallery focuses on contemporary art pieces, highlighting works of artists such as Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. They also focus on emerging and mid-career artists. I was immediately greeted at the entry by a gallery staff member. He then told to peruse the art works at my leisure. The building is spacious with a great deal of room between the exhibits. The floor to ceiling windows facing 6th street generates a great deal of natural light. The art works are in a large range of price points, provided upon request.

The arrangement my mom received was a weird arrangement of roses and orchids. It was not at all what we had ordered, but it was one of the pre-made designs offered on their website. Much more expensive than what we ordered, as well. This year on Valentine's Day, I was very specific in the way I explained what I wanted...11 red roses and one white rose ONLY and nothing else. She received the same bizarre arrangement as she had the year before. I called and spoke with Katy. I told her what had happened - twice - and let her know we would no longer use them. She offered to send my mom a new arrangement like we had ordered in the first place, and I said she did not need two arrangements, so she offered a credit, which I accepted. Only because we had a credit, my siblings and I decided to order our mom's Mother's Day arrangement from them. I left a voicemail yesterday inquiring about the amount of the credit. By this afternoon, no one had called me back. I called them today and was told there were notes on our account but nothing about a credit. I was put on hold and eventually the system disconnected the call. Katy did call me back. She read me the notes on the account, much of which I had not said. This is a strange way to run a business. There are way too many good florists in Austin to waste your time and money on this one.

Save your $$ and do NOT opt for the deluxe or premium upgrades because they will ignore that and still deliver a basic bouquet.

We've been considering repainting our bedroom because, ew to white walls (SO basic & boring). Narrowed my initial 17 color selections down to 4. I am sure the folks at PPG thought I was a maniac going home with so many swatches, lol. Nonetheless, we're down to the 4 choices and swung by today to get the colors in actual paint form. Going to be painting some small test squares on one of the bedroom walls. Anyhoo, I ramble because it's important to know the type of customer the employees were dealing with and how their assistance and service impacted the visits. Extremely professional (these guys know their stuff and have great taste on top of that), friendly, and helpful in making my choices.
