It's worth even an hour drive and it's in a cool bookstore. Lots of great seating.. The guy behind the counter was very personable. I want to make sure that he had our waffle cones prepared fresh for us if we wanted them while we decided what flavors we wanted. It's really cool. They have a kids cone too.

Just what you need on a hot summer day right in the heart of Newberg! They've got coffee! They've got books! A chill place to relax and hangout. I finally made the trip after seeing someone post about the cherry cheesecake ice cream (seasonal flavor) a while back. Amazing!!!! I'm hoping they will have it again in their rotation. Today I had the cherry almond and the hubby had blueberry. You can sample the flavors before you commit to a flavor. I sampled the cold brew which is also tasty but I wanted fruity. They sell pints to take home which works out when you can't decide on what to get. Just take the flavor home with you. Employees are great! Cute shop! Fun place to stop! ***side note, the menu I'm posting is from my first visit and NOT what is there today.

Fifty Licks was voted as one of the top-rated Yelp places for ice cream nationally, and so I knew I…read morehad to stop by while in Oregon! One of their locations in downtown Portland had a fire recently, and so they're currently utilizing their truck and parking it just around the corner in a shared foot truck lot in the meantime. Fifty Licks is often compared to Salt and Straw because of their unique and interesting flavors. Their most popular flavors are their MANGO STICKY RICE and OREGON STRAWBERRY (and yes- Oregon strawberries are unique and much sweeter than your average Driscoll strawberries found in the supermarket). They give samples and so I sampled the HONEY CORNBREAD and the MATCHA MOCHI which were both great (the latter which had great sticky mochi texture but could use stronger matcha flavor), but I fell in love with their MANGO STICKY RICE. MANGO STICKY RICE is a classic Thai dessert made from as you guessed, mango and sticky rice mixed with sweet coconut. Fifty Lick's rendition of this dessert is spot on and is full of coconut, pieces of rice (which I don't know how they keep them from hardening!), and a mango compote swirl. It was creamy (not to mention vegan and gluten free) and may have been one of the best ice cream scoops I've had in a long time. A single scoop is $6.90, which I believe is pretty similar to Salt and Straw. The woman working the truck was super friendly and happy. The truck shares communal outdoor bench seating with the other food trucks around it, but I had no problem getting a seat. As an ice cream fanatic, Fifty Licks definitely lives up to the hype and worth the stop. I look forward to visiting again in the future- hopefully when they're back to have a fully operating storefront in Portland! Overall: 5/5 for ice cream, 5/5 for service

Great friendly service and many flavors to try. They have brick and a mortar store located on 1647 NW 21st Ave. Still find it unusual for an Ice Cream Truck in the mall lol. Ambiance: 2/5. Black Friday crowds. Too noisy. Service: 5/5 stars Food: 4/5 stars

You order at the counter, and they bring you your food at a table, or if it's coffee and sweets you get it there and then. Everyone in B's Bake Shoppe was friendly and greeted me with kindness, and a smile. They were extremely willing to ensure I felt welcome, even when flopping my latte order around as my eyes scanned over a delicious sounding special! My iced latte was delicious. I love trying new flavor combinations and the honey cardamon is a win. It has the sweetness, but a stronger bitter taste. This hit the spot for the day. The chocolate fudge brownie is RICH. It's creamy, dense, and tasty! 2 bits is all I could manage, and would definitely share this with friends/family when I bring them with me. The London Fog Macaroon tasted as though it had been in a freezer or fridge open air. It was subtle, but there. As a dessert I don't regularly have I can't say exactly if I'm just not understanding the flavor. I also found this one more crunchy than others that I've had. Past macaroons have been light and fluffy, but somewhat brittle. These were more dense, and crumbled under the first bite. The Turkey Pesto BLT tastes delicious! The greens overwhelmed the flavor at first, and as a personal preference could do with a little less L. But, it is a bLt, so I asked for lettuce ! Overall a delicious sandwich! I'll be excited to share this little local spot with family and friends in the near future.
