She sent me an invoice for $5500 - about the same amount as the furniture I was ordering from her. There was no prior discussion, no contract - not even a text exchange about ANY fees let alone a $100 hourly fee, of which she was "41 hours in".... until the project was over. I have attempted to negotiate in good faith with the owners- Meghan and Cathy- over the last 6 weeks- offering her $2k design fee- a 33.5% markup on the furniture I purchased from her, of which she refused and then held my furniture hostage. Credit card charges are now in dispute and all orders being cancelled... what has now become a 4+ month project was just a complete waste of time for both of us. The lack of common sense in having a conversation, contract and deposit if you are expecting to be paid a designer fee of any amount is actually shocking. Great designer, but an unprofessional and horribly run business.

We were captivated by wall art we saw in the home of a relative and contacted Black Dog to order similar pieces for our home. Cathy was our point of contact. She was unbelievably attentive, advising us on every imaginable nuance, catching a few issues (wall dimensions, etc) that we would have missed on our own, and staying in regular touch with us through the process, from ordering through shipment and delivery. Shipping turned out to be complicated, and Cathy managed everything meticulously, keeping us informed and helping with workarounds where required. I say this knowing some might read it as hype; she treated us like family, not mere customers. No matter where you live, if you're looking for help with interior design, Black Dog should be your first and last call. (And hope you're lucky enough to have Cathy helping you!)

It turned out to be a mismatch of scratch and debt one off stuff. Not too much to see and it certainly did not take hours to look through as one review suggested. There just was not much worth much! It is a stack it up, hunt and Peck, display of stuff that is only for those liking to spend a lot on items that are messed up. I'd pass coming here... unless you have an hour to kill... then, come and see what crazy people are spending their money on.

Zoey and Kristen were both stand outs, and I wish I could remember the other gals name to give her a shout out as well. Upon receiving the items, every single one of the clothing did not fit, either too small or too large, and they were all a size M , which is what size I am. I tried to return them, but was told that they will not authorize my return because it was final sale items and did not want to work with me, but told me to sell them on ebay, etc. Who does that? I will never order from this company again, all their advertising seems false to me. Beware ordering from this company.

Whether you are into home decor, vintage collections, or other tchotchkes, this should be a place you add to your list to check out. While I came here today with my 3 year old, this is definitely a spot I can (and will) come back to explore solo with an iced coffee in hand so I can take my sweet time to really take in all the nooks and crannies of this market. Plus, they have a little cafe inside if you find yourself working up a thirst or appetite from indulging in some retail therapy. While there were several things I would have liked to purchase I narrowed it down to a cute framed painting of a ghost reading a book, but I'm sure my next visit I'll manage to purchase quite a few items.

I prefer to support local business but I won't support this one again. Marcia placed an order for an entire bedroom furniture set for my daughter. The vanity came with 1 dead bulb and I couldn't match it with an Amazon bulb without buying an entire set. It took her over 2 months to finally get the bulb from her!!!! I had to ask her several times over the two months. She would say she would check on the issue then days later not hear anything and that just repeated itself. I asked for the manager, Jean, to call me over this 2 month period to help but never heard from her. The sum for this total purchase was over $10k. Marcia never called to ask how is your furniture, thanks for your purchase or anything when it was delivered. Keep in mind none of the furniture is returnable!!! The nightstands are very hard to open causing them to slide across the floor when you open them but we're stuck with them regardless!

In other words, it's a store full of overpriced junk that I wouldn't gift to anyone I actually liked. There are a few booths with handmade things (one is a very interesting booth of clay art eyes and embroidery featuring Bigfoot, crows, and other cool things that I might give some of my more esoterically inclined friends). Other than these few legit booths of handicrafts, this store is a complete dud.

After a quick drop-off at the neighboring UPS I darted in, without knowing what kind of store I was walking in to. Surprise! A light and airy space -- the former WalMart supermarket -- with scores of booths selling art, clothing, gifts, jewelry -- you get the gist. Unlike flea markets with a hodgepodge of sellers and items randomly placed, this store is well laid out with items carefully displayed. (A nutty thing to notice, but even the signage at each station is nicely printed and posted. No makeshift signs.) There are dressing rooms up front and clean restrooms. Even a lounge for vendors! Most sellers have discounted their holiday merchandise, with some offering reductions on all inventory.
