From my understanding the upstairs recently opened up. That too has a large bar, maybe one or two bar tables and this large couch like thing to sit down. It seems like there is a crap ton of regulars that frequent which is pretty cool. Seems like a big 'ol family. Patio in the back, looks like that would be dope once it gets warm out. I personally think the bar prices are on the damn high side. Wings and fries were a la cart, fifteen for them both to be exact, and they weren't the best. Simply something to base the belly in your pursuit of drunkeness, if that is what you do and all. Don't judge me folks. I hear they have brunch, perhaps go back and try that. I visited this venue on a weekday. It was a delightful venue with a feel of a neighborhood friendly bar for D.C. natives. They had a pop up shop going with two small business vendors selling clothing. That made the venue even more worth it, it felt like it was a welcome space for networking. There were several TV's throughout so it's a perfect space for watching the game. Drinks were strong! Old Bay Wings were a hit! I'll definitely be back. read more

Listen... I only come for the food!! I don't care what you order I've tried it all and it's fire! I mean you don't have to ask for anything the kitchen crew has you covered!!! I had to ask who is the mastermind in the kitchen and my hat goes off to my man Mike In the Kitchen!! Crab Cake it alllllll lump, wings and fries fries to perfection, burgers are made from SCRATCH and served on a buttery toasted bun!! The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the turkey burger!! Impressed by the food and service! Better than club level at the game. Upon entering, I was nicely asked which team(s) I wanted to watch and was seated with a good vantage point. Unfortunately, I just missed the chicken and waffles brunch but was happy with a delicious basket of crispy, juicy buffalo wings. Nice, laid-back (but attentive) atmosphere. Not a huge place but there were several televisions broadcasting various games and sufficient seating. Very clean, accessible restrooms. Great location on H Street NE! Went here to meet with a friend to watch a Caps game, and when we asked for hockey they looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language. The world series was on and it was on every TV, so surely they could spare one for us with nothing else going on right? Eventually, they did, but it was an endeavor and then some. We ordered wings which were pretty good, but instead of the wings being tossed around in the buffalo sauce it came on the side, even after we requested it. Had they gone that extra step it would have been beyond awesome. The service was okay too, nothing great, but sometimes we were left unattended for long periods of time... while sitting at the bar no less. If you're in a pinch and need to duck into a sports bar on H st, I guess this place will do, but you'd be better off going into any bar in H st with a tv. read more

First time here and their Tuesday happy hour is great!! %50 off drinks and appetizers.... the wings are beyond, especially the sweet chilli wings! Derrick was the bartender tonight...and he made excellent drinks! The service was definitely on point. I can't wait until next Tuesday... I will be back!!! read more

Hooooorrrrriiible service!!!!! I am only giving it 2 stars because my friends said their food was good and they took money off our bill. Mind you I said THEIR food......I am writing this review as I sit here still waiting for my food, its been an hour and 25mins for a Turkey Burger & fries. Needless to say I am FURIOUS but keeping a calm face while still here to make sure they don't see my anger and spit in my food. I really wish I something good to say because I live less than 8 blocks from Halftime and this could easily have been my go to neighborhood place, sadly I will NEVER come back here. Horrible. Worst SERVICE EVER!!! I can't believe I'm being forced to give ONE star. I've tried to give this establishment the benefit of doubt but I've been disappointed each and every time . Halftime is only beneficial for the multiple flat screens to watch optional games. The food is good if you're privileged enough to receive service and if you're very patient and don't mind waiting one hour on your food. The staff is very disrespectful and customer service is not a requirement to work here. & I actually grew up in this neighborhood and I don't see this place being around for too much longer . So if you're ever looking for a nice bar in the h street area PLEASE BYPASS this one . You'll be very disappointed read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. I arrived at Halftime on 06/16/17 at 11:40pm and I was informed there was a $10 cover after 11pm. I was extremely polite with the two bouncers and I even joke around with them after giving them my $10. Thinking in my head this place must be good if there even charging a cover. I walk in to meet up with my two friends who informed me they only paid $5 at 11:30pm to get in (Hmm that's odd I would be charged more?) I did not make a big deal about it. Then at 11:49pm two additional friends arrived and they both were only required to pay $5. This is when I confronted the bouncers and they treated me as though I was crazy and I did not know what I was talking about. (let's just say I did get my $5 back but it was very discouraged and I didn't understand why I was being charged more than everyone else.) After returning to the bar I went to order a shot from the upstairs bar and it was $15!!!! :O I can get the same shot just down the street for 8bucks!!! (which I did later in the night) Not to mention the upstairs feels like you're in some dirt house party. There was only about 12 people up there for the whole hour I was there. (Wasn't what I was expecting if you're going to try to charge me $10) Even the music wasnt that great and it was soo loud you couldn't even talk. Visited D.C. the first weekend in June. Decided to catch the first championship game here after our flight was delayed getting in. Worst decision ever! Upon arrival, the bouncer informed us of an upstairs or downstairs option. They were doing karaoke downstairs so it was super loud but the upstairs area was small and super crowded so we took our chances at the bar. Although the bartender was standing right in front of us, it took him 15 minutes to ask for our order. If we weren't so hungry, we would've left but we placed our order and hoped for the best. We ordered the sliders and eight sauced wings. The sliders looked like something a child would make and they were extremely bland. Instead of 8 wings, we got 4 whole wings. The reason, they ran out of wings but no one bothered to tell us that beforehand. On top of that, they didn't even bother to sauce them! By this time, we were beyond ready to go. Asked for the check, only to be surprised by a $85 bill. For what? Poor customer service, less than stellar food and two miniature size drinks. I've paid the same for more at much nicer places. Not to mention the fact that their a/c wasn't even working. I will never visit this place again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

Horrible service. The bartenders are super rude and take forever to serve you. I had to ask for water three times & ketchup twice to finally get them 10 minutes later because the bartender was having an intimate conversation with a staff/manager while twerking behind the bar. When I asked her for napkins, she rolled her eyes and said I'm busy give me a minute and proceeded to complain about me to another employee as if I wasn't sitting and watching her the entire time. How are you the hired help but acting like you own the place, better yet can't even do your job and have an attitude towards your customers? Their food was average. The crowd is 21-28yrs old dancing around the establishment like it's a go-go or club. I just came for the game, beer and wings! Won't be going back here again! PS and they charge $10 to get in after 10pm, which I found to be, not so cool since it is a local restaurant/bar. read more
