Yard House would not usually be my first dining choice when in an area, but we wanted something different around dinner. Our wait was less then 15 minutes for a table which was impressive. Our waitress needed to close out a large table so it took her a few minutes to get our beverages, but after that service was very fast. Yard Houe's menu is pretty big with Sandwiches, Burgers, Steak, Seafood, and many other items. The beer menu is expansive. I ordered three Carne Asada Tacos while my friend went with the Korean BBQ Cheesesteak. Our food arrived shockingly fast, only about ten minutes after ordering. Tacos were delicious and came with a mildly spicy beans and rice. My friend enjoyed his Korean BBQ Cheesesteak and upgraded his Fries to the Parm Truffle Fries, which he also liked. The only major negative to dining here is the price, as one meal with drink and trip was over $30. I would return here to dine again, as overall the food and service was very good. read more

The wait wasn't too bad considering how packed it was. We waited about 20ish minutes. The server was nice and very attentive. The bathrooms were located about like 3 flights of stairs up, which wasn't an issue for me but maybe for others, however they do have an elevator. I ordered the 4 cheese spinach dip which the dip itself was good however, there was a little too much parmesan on top of the chips which made them taste dry. Saw the pic of lobster shrimp noodles and wanted to try them. Before ordering this more Asian version, I tried to order the agnolotti which is a creamy Italian version of the same thing pretty much. This restaurant comes highly recommended on Yelp and is just a short walk from the hotels downtown - even in the rain, the walk is worth it! We arrived to a line out the door on a Friday night but we only waited around 25 minutes for a table. The seating inside is plentiful and the atmosphere is loud but cozy and fun - family friendly and enjoyable. We enjoyed the most amazing food - Fontina Vodka Penne (with Shrimp), Kale & Romaine Caesar Salad, Whiskey & Aged White Cheddar Burger, 20oz Bone-in Ribeye. The steak and burger were cooked to perfection, the sauces were outstanding and the Caesar salad was by far the best out of all of this listed. The bar selection and beer selection were amazing - the menu clearly highlights the types of beer into each category which helps make a decision much faster. The Cider on tap was so good. The service was good- they were very busy so refills and checking in on us took a bit longer, but it was understandable and we didn't have any issues at all. I've been here numerous times and its typically for happy hour and then other times it's very late at night. One important note is that there is no happy hour on game nights across the way at the arena and that's a shame. That's reason for one automatic star loss. There's mad events at Capital One Arena and for them to just cancel happy hour because something is happening down the street is nasty corporate America work. Now on to the food. It's always pretty good. I've never had a bad experience here. The bartenders are normally very engaging so that brings up the experience. Our waitress was busy between us and a few other tables and the bar took awhile to make our drinks. The queso dip was great of course and dipping the fries in there was also a good mix. The buffalo wings were absolutely tossed in the sauce and you could taste the heat of the buffalo. This was my first time at Yard House and will certainly be my last at this location. I came with a coworker during our lunch today. We sat at the bar and placed our orders. It wasn't packed at all, but it still took over 20 minutes for anything to come out (our food came out before our drinks), and I think it's only because the manager came to check on us. I ordered traditional wings, but I received boneless. When I told our server, Tenai, there was no apology or remorse, just a look at the receipt saying it said traditional. The wings were decent, but not what I wanted, but I had to take them due to time. My coworker asked for some garlic aioli sauce to go, and even that was met with a sigh, like she was being asked for so much. When we asked for the check, I was still being charged for the traditional wings. This should have been rectified way before us getting the check. In my 56 years of being on this earth, I've had the worst service at this restaurant. My server Linda is not cut out for her position or definitely needs more training. After providing my drink and food order to her, she asked me something that I really couldn't understand. She was repeating my drink order. I told her yes. She asked me what size. I again repeated a pint of Guinness. And then she asked me what I wanted to order. Huh?? So I repeated my food order to her again. She took my order and left. After sitting there and watching other people around me receive their food, I checked my watch. It was 25 mins since I ordered. How did I know this? It's because I texted my wife when I got sat at my table. So after another 5 mins, she came to me and asked how I was doing. I told her I was doing fine. She said just waiting for your food right? I said yes. She walked away. A few mins later, she came to my table and said that my food would be free as she got my order mixed up. She pulled out at least two separate order forms and asked me what I ordered. What??? I told her what I ordered again and she asked me about some other dishes that I didn't even mention to her before. I told her what I ordered AGAIN. And then she said that they don't have brussel sprouts. I told her it's on the menu. She said no. I grabbed a menu from the bar and showed her. And then she said something about the sprouts having garlic? I said that's fine as I've had brussel sprouts from the Yard House many many times!!!!! After waiting for more than 35 mins, I finally received my food. The food was good as expected. I wanted to have another Guinness, but after this experience I wanted to get the hell out of there. I asked for to-go containers and a glass of water. She brought these to me and told me that she had to charge me for my Guinness and at least one item. I told her fine and to charge me the chicken tenders. During this fiasco, I saw other customers in my area waiting for their food or waiting for Linda to return to their table for refills. I love the Yard House for their happy hour and all the variety of beers they offer. I just hope the next time I visit, I don't get Linda as my server.
