Really good food with incredible service. Everyone was ordering food and the portions are huge I knew we would have way too much food if I ordered a plate. Stopped by here as a middle ground on the way to Houston from dallas. It's a good size restaurants and has a small bar available as well. They do have a few TVs but they're pretty tiny. The food portion size is large and the chicken salad wasn't too bad at all. They do offer a large menu too and it's right off the highway. A good spot to stop thru on a road trip. read more

We love the halfway fajitas! There are not many places to go in Buffalo. Halfway is our go to.

Halfway Bar and Grill I don't know what it's halfway from and to, but I enjoyed getting a quick bite at this bar. I'm not a Buffalo native, so finding this place was basically a short search. This establishment is pretty good in size. It gives me, Mexican restaurant/ bar from the lay out and good eats. There are other familiar eats such as burgers, wings, tostadas, etc. Good shrimp tostada, hefty servings and from the other orders I saw come out of the kitchen, it's a common thing with all dishes. The staff were energetic and kind, plus efficient. On a busy day I'm sure it's a lot more hectic. Big place, decent parking size with a sort of semi dark interior. read more

We stopped in Buffalo on our way to Houston for the night after a long business trip. We decided to check out the Half Way Grill. We sat at the bar & Daniela was our bartender. She was wonderful! Very attentive. She made a great Paloma cocktail, too! You must order the red salsa with their chips. They were both fresh & delicious! The salsa was homemade with lots of cilantro & a mild kick of spice to it. The tortilla chips also tasted homemade. My hubby & I split the Half Way Fajitas & they did not disappoint! Yum!!! We were there January 6, 2025. Our service was not good, we only received refills on our drinks after our dinner was served. My burger was burnt so bad we sent it back. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was tuff. So a shame we had previously eaten at this restaurant about 6 months before at it was good. We will not be returning. read more

We have eaten here several times. My favorite is the Halfway Grilled Chicken - smothered in sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. My husband had the ribeye. It was good -- prepared as he requested. The Mac n cheese and the beans were quite tasty side dishes. The servers are attentive without being intrusive. Mixed drinks have a generous pour. Inside. Table & booths and a billiard room with pool tables. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Friendly waitress and staff. I ordered the Halfway burger and tots. Was served hot and quickly. I would give the burger a 3 star. My Husband ordered the quissabirra tacos. He said they were good but we both believe the prices were a bit expensive. The beans that came with his tacos were excellent. I had ordered a pinot grigio wine but was given a White Zinfandel instead and it was obviously out of a cheap box wine. It is a bar, pretty much. Well to be honest there's not much to eat in this town. This is by far the worst service I've ever gotten. Almost just walked out because we waited more than 30 minutes for our ticket. Weren't checked on for anything everyone at our table only got the initial drink zero refills offered. Very poor service read more

Delicious food! Birria tacos are amazing. Juicy and flavorful. Beans are spicy and good. The rice is the most flavorful I've ever tasted. Huge pile of nachos! They are generous with the portion and the cheese. Highly recommend. We stopped at lunch and it wasn't too loud. read more

We walked into a this bustling bar and grill at 7:30 on a Friday night. We were greeted by a friendly host and seated in a booth. It felt like we walked into a relative's party. The staff was welcoming and never left a glass empty. My husband had an ice cold beer within 5 minutes, and I had my drink. We ordered the beef fajitas for two and both of us thought it was the best tasting fajita meat we had, possibly ever, definitely in Texas. The charro beans were amazing, the rice was so tasty, and the homemade corn tortillas were the best I've had in ages! My husband had the fajitas but the waiter dropped the hot pan and the food all in his lap yikes so they hurried to get him a new order and he said they had no flavor and his onions we still hard .
