When my friend picked me up from my hotel and said, "I'm taking you on an adventure," I could not have imagined that I would be whisked away to the most fun wine bar in Palm Springs. Not only is the wine bar incredible, they have an airplane-themed speak easy inside, with fun cocktails and karaoke. I got to experience both happy hour and a paired wine tasting and both were truly unique experiences. My friend Michele and I are still raving about the macaroni salad, which, as Black women, we are bestowing a major honor when we say, "I could have eaten just that, it was THAT good." The store in front a nice selection of wine and gifts along with a cafe and tables to enjoy if you decide to have wine there. The real star is the Air Bar speakeasy in the back. There are flight-themed cocktails and nice snacks available. Our server was hilarious and attentive making sure we never became thirsty. Found this gem online when I was putting my best friend's birthday plans together. Although I don't know much about wine, she loves a good wine so I thought a wine tasting would be perfect for her. We did feel a little out of place when we first got there but we chalked it up to the guests being regulars and us being "first timers" as it seemed everyone knew each other, but it no time they made us feel welcome. I wasn't expecting the pairings, but they were absolutely amazing. Whoever put that together did a very good job. The wine was also very good and the guest speaker did a very good job of explaining the wines and the history. They sang happy birthday to my best friend and gave her a bottle of wine. Out of all the experiences I've done for her every year, she said this was the absolute best and talked about it the entire way home! COVID Anyone? Serving a salad from another guest table GROSS. I brought my friend to this establishment. I had been there a couple of times prior. We are townies with friends that visit often, and I thought I had found a gem of a new place and was excited to introduce my friend. We were enjoying each other company time was not a big deal as we had planned well, but after close to an hour of waiting for a small pizza and a salad, I went to check on our order, still mellow but wondering what was taking so long. The young lady firmly told me the salad was at the table already, and the pizza was right there. I replied we do not have a salad she repeated it was brought to the table and then motioned for me to retrieve pizza. I went back to the table with pizza, no salad at the table. My seat gave me a full view of the room. They delivered our salad to another table. The pilot/waiter retrieved the salad, took it to the bar, waited a moment, then brought it to the table, telling us he would box it up and comp it. How unsanitary and gross of him to offer to box on a partially eaten salad by unknown people. This is not very sanitary prior to COVID. After COVID, it is unacceptable. The worst part of this experience was the owner's sassy, nasty low-class attitude; He sashayed to the table asking what he could do to make it right when I spoke up and suggested to comp the two sodas and the 14.99 pizza, he snapped for me to be quiet, he barked he can comp any meal, but first, he needed to know what the issue was. The issue was with his restaurant and staff, not us. An astute business owner should know our order took an hour. They delivered half the order to the wrong table and then brought it to our table to serve/(box up) us a partially eaten salad by others. Bad service starts from the owner down; that is obvious. What happens in the kitchen where watchful eyes are not looking is the unknown; if they find it acceptable to serve a used salad, what other unsanitary practices do they allow, Health Department should make a visit IMO. read more

If you're visiting Palm Springs or a local this is a must stop for food and ambiance. During covid they have a very nice outdoor setup, heaters made me very comfortable and those chairs just hugged my butt & back. To drink I had aviation it's so good! Olives are a must so tasty! Salmon was perfect! Potatoes with Mac & cheese will not disappoint. My husband had burger and he was very happy with it. Once you're done the store has so many selections to take home, candles, home decor. Don't forget to check out the plane! The area is not in use due to covid but is friggin awesome! This review is for Ps Air Bar. Eileen was extremely generous in guiding us in our trip to air bar. 2 stars for her. Upon entering, was a great feeling taking the literal ramp to our gate. We were seated. Ordered the turbulence. Which tasted like store bought sour/margarita mix, with mushy cucumbers and jalapeño seeds. Full of seeds. Yuck. I don't even think they shook the drink. For $15 I'd expect much more. Coming from LA that's the standard price for much more elevated cocktails. The other star is for the atmosphere. Very cute. It did feel like you were on a flight. Sort of. Do not, I repeat do not order the chips and guac. It says homemade, but store made and prepackaged for sure. Even the chips tasted like from a Cosco sized bag. Even the salsa was from a can. It was obvious it was store bought. The stewards were great and had good energy. Pretty bummed it didn't meet my standards. read more

My wife and I took part in a "virtuREAL" wine tasting with Bouschet last weekend. For $40, we got a small but nice charcuterie board, three half-bottles of sparkling wine, and one half-bottle of red wine. It was a good balance of part tasting and part class. Did you know that the wire cage on the top of a bottle of sparkling wine is twisted exactly six times? Neither did I, and now I can impress my friends by opening a bottle with my eyes closed! :-) The tasting was conducted over Zoom, and it worked out pretty nicely. I would definitely take part in another tasting like this. We had visited the store a few times before the pandemic hit. It is a well-appointed store, with a good selection of gourmet food items, wine, beer, and spirits. They also have a deli inside, so you can grab a sandwich to enjoy there (post-pandemic), or take it to go. We're really looking forward to getting past this pandemic -- for a variety of reasons, of course -- but one of those reasons is going into the new "PS Air Bar" that they've constructed inside the store. It is made to look like the passenger compartment of a commercial airliner, and they did a really nice job with it. All in all, a good local shop that I enjoy supporting. read more

Such a wonderful tasting experience! My boyfriend and I came here Valentine's Day weekend for a tasting on the patio. This was both of our first times doing a formal tasting and I must say, Bouschet did a great job! The patio was lovely, and although there were some technical difficulties (to be expected in these times) everyone seemed to have a great time. We tried four wines from Brewer-Clifton with Greg Brewer himself explaining the notes and stories of each over Zoom. Greg is fantastic! He is a true artist; it was lovely to hear him speak about his craft. There was also a plate of meats and cheeses provided to us, which added to the experience. We ended up buying a bottle of the Ex Post-Facto Syrah to take home. If you have the chance to go to a tasting with Greg, I highly recommend it. If we lived in the desert we would probably be regulars, the $20 a person price point is so worth it for what you get. Overall a really lovely time. We will definitely be back! read more

Just got back from Palm Springs. Never been there before, went to a few places like Sherman's (great place), Ricks (also a great place). Then we went to Bouschet, such a beautiful store, bright, airy and very inviting. Their PS Air part of the store was excellent as I personally love airplanes (million miler). They got actual airline seats and window panels from an 737. So cool, just wish the real airlines aisle were that wide, hahaha. Great selection of wines from small boutique wineries and the ones I had during their wine tasting was excellent. Will definitely go back on my next Palm Springs visit. seems no luck when visitng town, my aunt uncle had heard it has fun drag brunches so we thought why not? ...was: crowded, full of drunks getting served more and more, food soso , over priced really all of it. The tables uncomfortable, you have to lean over and down to eat. Saw only 1 restroom in bar, strange for so many there...On positive entertainers great and free easy outside parking.....the adjoining gift store was nice in appearance but pricey as we walked thru; and server at show was so so, not rude not real welcoming just "what would you like"....we hear other shows in town not as costly and more comfortable seating and better food... take a pass on this 1, cute concept tho sitting inside an 1950s plane decor theme thing tho. Terribly Rude and Disorganized Management! Not Worth the Hassle! This airline is crashing.., Initial reservation for their PS Air experience was with a scattered person who talked to herself about moving around this group or that. She finally took my name and number (no credit card info) and said I was confirmed for 4 for 8 pm on 4/9. On 4/I called to decrease reservation to 3 because of an illness. Rude gentleman told me I was only going to get a credit to use another time and that was their policy. He then looked for the reservation and in an unprofessional and accusatory manner told me I was mistaken and no reservation existed and they were full already. I got an earful when I told him the original person taking the reservation on the phone never asked me for a credit card. In an exasperated tone I received a tongue lashing saying every reservation requires prepayment so there was no way I ever had one or talked to anyone to make a reservation. At 8:20 pm on 4/9 Tony from PS Air called to inquire where I was since they had me down for 8 pm for 4 people. I'm not sure he appreciated my less than happy response! Terribly disappointed at the management and how they treat customers before they even walk in the door. Too many other good places with nice people to have a fun meal... don't risk this place ruining your evening or vacation! read more

We attended the "soft" Grand Premier of this wonderful Specialty marketplace and were very impressed with all they will have to offer on May 15th! They will have many deli items, gourmet sandwiches, fine wines, fine liquors, beers and even a wine tasting room. They also have many fine art and decorative items throughout the store that is a must see. Don't miss this GO TO spot!!!! read more
