I was able to use my insurance as well so my actual out of pocket was just over $100. While at Kennesaw Mountain they told me I needed two crowns for the two root canals I had done at the Endo. The Endo recommended a crown and a filling, (one tooth was cracked), Kennesaw Mountain Dental Associates told me I actually needed two crowns to the tune of almost $3,000. Come to find out I didn't actually need two crowns. The recommendation from the Endo was correct, all I needed was a crown and a filling this is after both dentists at my new dentist looked at the root canals done by my Endo. So in addition to being rude and lazy, they are also trying to over charge by pushing unnecessary dental procedures. Be very careful if you visit Kennesaw Mountain Dental Associates. Make sure you reach out to your insurer prior to your visit and check your coverage or they may try what they tried with me and tell you that you don't have coverage. Also if they recommend a procedure don't hesitate to hit pause, take few days and get a second opinion. It could save you thousands of dollars.

In todays world of dental practices running more like they just got out of a manufacturing efficiency and profit maximization class she takes her time and doesn't shortcut. My past experience with dentist is they want to numb one whole side of your mouth. Dr Thomas just numbed the single tooth she was working on. Amazing. Sadly, after 5 years of professional dental care, I can no longer recommend this practice. Two…read moremonths ago I was informed my wonderful dentist, Dr. Iyer left the practice to work in Mid-Town, only to find out he was merely 10 minutes away. Why lie? Against my better judgement I choose to stay and have a crown replacement complete by Dr. Solomon, only to find out on day of appt, I was passed on to Dr. Iyer's replacement, the new dentist. It went downhill from there - injuring my tongue during the crown removal, a 90 min procedure was 3 hrs, with no explanation or apology. When I reminded the tx coordinator Dr. Iyer offered to replace composite filing at no charge, she tried to contest it. It was supposed to be done at my deat appt, it wasn't. No mention at all. So many other small issues, that all added up. Office manager Holly was rude and abrasive, saying this office is her "family" and they treat patients like family. My family isn't rude and condescending, saying she doesn't have time for my complaint. What a disgrace that this is the management representation for a growing professional dental practice. I am awaiting a call from Dr. Vaugh, but not holding my breath. If she should contact me, and make this right, I will update this review. If there is no update, she did not and I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

You can tell he has extensive experience and is very knowledgeable. He will go in depth what your symptoms are, root cause of the problem. Then he will lay out remedies and options for you. Unlike some dentists that try to sell you more services and products, he is looking out for your best interest. Believe me, I have had a dentist try to sell me a teeth guard that costs several hundred dollars telling me I can lift more weights! And of course, the staff here is magnificent! Even if you have dental insurance, unfortunately the cost of getting dental treatment is not cheap. I have had to get two crowns so far and Kellie Guffin has been very helpful with the process. I think being informed and knowing what the cost impact is going to be is very important. And I must add that the hygienists are very thorough and gentle. For the world of me I could not get my husband to get his teeth cleaned as he does not like going to the dentist but I "tricked" him to going and got help from the staff No need to say he booked his next teeth cleaning appointment. The tooth had gaps where food was getting caught, and it was cutting my tongue because it was way too big and bulky. My bite was off and I had frequent headaches because of the pain it was causing. I did go in after and tried to tell them something wasn't right, but he said "the crown looks good," and scraped some food away. The office then charged my insurance for this visit. The other crown they did also does not fit correctly and there is still extreme sensitivity. The new dentist I now go to sealed it for now, but this one will need to be redone too. Also, my husband went in for a six month cleaning and they tried telling him that he needed a "deep clean" before they could proceed with his six month check up (which included a cleaning) and they wanted to charge him at least 1,500 dollars for this deep clean. He went elsewhere and had no problem getting his regular checkup. I would NOT recommend this place. I would give it a zero rating if I could.
