This place is terrible, I got my nails done at their salon a week ago. The following day after getting them done. 2 of my nails had already popped off as a whole. I went back to get them fixed and its been about 4 days since then and 5 more nails have popped off. Me and my friend were looking for a nail salon to do a simple gel manicure and a SNS since our usual nail salon was far from where we were. The place seemed clean and everyone there was very nice to us and they would get a 4 star if I only cared about customer service. However; this is a nail salon. I got a gel manicure. The girl who did my nails used ONLY a drill bit to take off my pre-existing gel which...not sure if you're only supposed to use that since I'm used to techs using a little bit of a drill and removes the rest with acetone. But that wasn't the part that made me question if this tech knew what she was doing. When she used the drill, she would accidentally run it on the tip of my nails which made them shorter and very jagged. We did not discuss whether or not I wanted them cut at all and I honestly wanted to keep my length. Then she started shaping my nails and she didn't do a terrible job but you can definitely tell they're a bit uneven. Now came the application. It was a terrible application. From far away, it doesn't look bad at all. But from close up? Terrible. There are bumps, fuzzies, bubbles and black specs/ smudge under the gel that almost looks like black mold (it's not). The coating is also uneven. I should've said something but I didn't take a good look at them until I already paid and got in my car. At that point, I just took my loss. I can't speak for my friend's experience but she said the tech was nice. She got an SNS and it came out very thick and also uneven. I don't really recommend this place even if you were in a pinch. Halo Nails & Spa is lovely! I recently moved to the Lawrenceville area and was seeking a nail salon that follows CDC Covid-19 guidelines. I would recommend making an appointment as wait times can vary because they are actually doing social distancing measures. My first visit to Halo was about a month ago as a walk-in where I got gel on my fingernails and a regular pedi done with Vincent. He was great, knowledgeable, and my gel nails lasted 3 weeks (usually they last me like 1.5 weeks)! A few days ago I came for my 2nd visit. I called to check availability and made an appointment for myself and my boyfriend for that same afternoon. My boyfriend felt comfortable and respected (some nail salons we've been to overdo it with "guy getting nails done with girlfriend" jokes/comments), and his nails look nice and groomed. The young lady who did his pedi (can't remember her name unfortunately) was also able to fully remove two ingrowns that were causing him pain. Kevin did SNS nails with tips for me and they look AWESOME. Throughout the process we stayed in communication so i could be sure i was getting what i wanted. He was also knowledgeable, understanding, and willing to work with my idea changes/requests. I really don't want to make this post but, after being a day 1 customer of Halo nails and my past few visits being completely horrible it's time. I have been getting my nails done at Halo for 3 years now. From then until now the consistency of great service is up in the air. I kept trying to give them another try because Mai always try's to make up for her crews mistake. I am officially done giving second and third chances to spend my money. My final straw was when I got my nails done for my wedding on a Friday by Saturday morning several rhinestones fell off and as I am getting my make up done 1 nail pops off. I am now annoyed because I wasted $120 on my nails and what is the point of going back to get it fixed when every time I get a service I have to get something fixed. I only recommend that you go to Mai to get your nails done and during the day when she has time to focus on your service and not keep jumping up to help her team. read more

have been coming here regularly for a few months and have always left satisfied but yesterday i left super disappointed. i got a fill and i had shown the man a picture of what i wanted and i always know that nail salons may not have the exact things as shown on the picture so i was expecting some adjustments to be made, completely fine with me. but its safe to say that i payed $60 which is outrageous for a fill when i got a super short length and nail techs in my area charge as low as $30. the shaping was not up to par, french tips were looking like spanish suggestions, and nails came out bulky. i recommend coming here if you want to get a pedicure and are looking to get your nails done last minute, for your nails i recommend the young asian girl with glasses and the hispanic lady (don't know their names sorry) and for pedicures i recommend mary. read more

I went to get a gel pedicure and sns manicure (dip powder) done before I went out of town. 2 days after getting them done, the gel polish FELL COMPLETELY OFF my toe nails? It didn't crack or chip, the gel polish literature fell clean off. Then my answer nails cracked 3 days after?? This was first time getting my nails done at this place...and I am beyond disappointed. I only came here bc I didn't have time to drive to my normal location. I called to tell them about it and they said they don't redo anything after 24 hours. Worst customer experience ever. I always get this same combination from a different nail place and it would last me up to 2 months. I have never had anything crack or fall completely off. And if I did...they would kindly fix it. I also took my 2 daughters here for gel polish manicures and pedicures and they experience the same thing. I will never come back here again. read more

At first I really liked this place. My mani pedi came out great, and lasted a while. Naturally, my husband and I decide to return but this time the person who I think might be the owner TOLD my husband what he was getting after we already asked for something else. I was getting a vibe that they thought we weren't spending enough with them so she started adding stuff. My husband didn't care, he was going with the flow but I'm not like him lol. I changed my requests (to take things off) because why not? You're adding, then I'm removing. Anyway, when completed my nails and toes did not last long at all. Within a week everything started chipping and it was nothing like the first time we visited. It made me wonder if it was on purpose because I was removing items, or if it was just that day. Each time I had the same person (I purposely requested the same person the second time because she did such a great job the first time). This will be my new favorite nail salon. Tried Halo nails and spa out because my OLD salon made me wait over an hour to be serviced & proceeded to take clients ahead of me. Halo took me in right away and did a great job on my nails in a timely manner. The prices are soo reasonable for the great quality of work I was surprised. Really enjoyed getting pampered here! I'm new to the area and googled a place close to me and headed out! While driving I noticed Halo on my right and quickly swerved into the parking lot. This was not the destination spot on my GPS but it was close to home and outside appearance was cool for me. Upon entering I was immediately greeted and of course due to the need to continue wearing masks I couldn't see a smile but I felt it. The sign in process was more than just writing your name in a tablet which made me feel fancy and important...it's the little things for me! The inside is beautiful and just my style for pampering. There was no wait time on this particular day which was during the week. It was all about relaxation and pampering myself! They definitely achieved this! I was in a chair right away and they began work on both hands and feet. Kevin...or Ken...major apologies for forgetting names but NO ONE ELSE can touch my feet from now on!!! He did his thing on me!!!!!! My new ME TIME now includes this guy!! Also apologies for not remembering the nice lady that did my gel manicure! I will definitely be calling this place home! 2 weeks after my appointment I'm starting to chip but I work in a pets hotel so the services have lived up to my expectations!! I enjoyed my time at Halo salon. As soon as I walked in I was greeted which is a plus. I got a pedicure from Amy and got an ombré full-set by Mai. They have only been open for a month but they are worth the visit! I know people can be skeptical with new salons, but if you know what you want then there's nothing to worry about. I would even be confident in them if I didn't know what I wanted done. The salon is pretty and clean and they have plenty of colors to choose from which is most important to me. I was coming here regularly for almost a year now but sadly will never be returning after my last visit. I came in with my sister and it was pretty busy but i don't mind the wait. I got seated and it was a young boy who i never saw before doing my pedicure. i'd assume he knew what he was doing since they allowed him to work with clients but i was wrong. He was extremely rough, he had the drill so fast and thinned out my natural nails so much that they all cracked in half in the matter of 4 days of my pedicure. I got the deluxe package pedicure and as he was starting to paint the gel onto my nails i noticed he didn't give me none of the things the deluxe pedicure included so i reminded him of what i got and gave me an attitude back saying that he knows what he's doing. He did not paint the gel on nice it was lumpy he got it all over my skin and for the topcoat he forgot to put it on some of my toes and the others were messy. He did not cut my nails or even attempted to shape then and i reminded him to cut them down a little and didn't do so. I was already fed up with the service so i just wanted to pay and leave. I still gave the boy tip because he did provide a service even tho it was bad. My pedicure did not last a week and my natural nails broke since of how much he thinned out my toes with the drill fast. And for my sister, they ended up pulling out some hangnails that led her to bleed which caused her to get a nasty infection 2 days after. I noticed sometimes they wouldn't use the clean tools. I loved coming to this place but after a while it just not the same anymore. read more

I was not please with the service I received. The nail tech who did my nails, clipped my nails poorly and glued tips. She didn't trip my cuticles or offer the option of also getting a manicure. The nail tips on my right hand were significantly longer than the ones on my left. She filed and shaped them crookedly. She got gel polish all around my fingers. To be honest, she did a rushed job and even my 7 year old daughter noticed how rushed her demeanor was. I had to go back home and shape them as best as I could. I do not recommend this place at all. This place is absolutely amazing! Their customer service is on point, the place is very clean and organized, not to mention they know exactly how to take care of you. I've gone to many nail salons before, but nothing compares to here! They're super sweet and their prices are reasonable as well. They even do lash extensions and an amazing job at it!
