Hello, today December 17 at 8:15 am on the corner of Laurel Canyon and Fox in the city of San Fernando, one of your drivers (red cab with flatbed, male driver) almost ran over a student who was crossing the street. The student had to move back even when he was half way into crossing the street, the tow truck made an unsafe left turn. The student had the right of way. Traffic was heavy as its next to San Fernando High School. Please talk to your drivers and address this issue. I also fell victim to this towing company from AAA. They gave me an estimate of 30 mins , only to arrive 2 hours later. Thanks to reviews, I knew they were trying to pull something off as soon as he looked at my stock car and said it was "too low" and I had to sign a waiver. I said ok bring the waiver and pulled out my phone to record my car as well as him putting it on the ramp and as soon as my phone came out he got aggressive and started saying he will leave if I don't stop recording. Then he just walked away without saying anything and left and marked the tow as complete (to use one of my tows from AAA) They also go by speedy towing and Sabo towing. Terrible service and they lie, they contract with AAA, fist they called and asked what car I was having towed they are given the information by AAA. They should have picked up the car with in 1 hour 1.5 hours later I was told it was going to be another 1++ with no explanation . This place is contracted by AAA and I had a terrrible experience with the tow truck driver. He mess up my vehicle's handle (driver side) and for which I called AAA to let them know and they stated to call this company directly to resolve this issued so, I called several times and they answer very rude or when they see my phone number they don't answer unless I call private or from another number and when they finally answered they stated they neeed to review the damage claim and they would go from there. I called every day for 3 days and today, they called stating they can fix it and can pick up my truck, then they change their mine and left me a message that it was'nt the driver's fault so, they decided not to take responsibility of the damages that was done by their driver and AAA can't find a solution yet. read more

After getting in a accident my vehicle got towed into there yard and after just 3 days of it being there they held my car hostage and wanted 2,000$ in fees to release vehicle. Hals Club Service was the tow AAA dispatch to me this morning when I submitted a request for a tow. The estimated time they would arrive would be an hour later but they came within like 20 minutes. The driver was quick to get my dad truck connected to the tow and I handed him the key so he can tow it to the shop I chose which was within 7 miles so I wouldn't get charge due to my AAA membership. I didn't have to sign any paperwork or pay for the tow service. He got the truck to the shop within like 30 minutes and dropped it off at a parking spot so he didn't have to start the car at all. I didn't have any issues with the driver or the service that was provided to me. read more

Do not trust them! If you get a tow from them for AAA, RUN! Ask for another servicer! We have AAA roadside assistance. We called AAA and "Hal's Club Services" was dispatched to help my mom for a tow. My mom asked them to drop the car off at our home and they gave her a false excuse that they couldn't leave it at our home due to the damage. They told her that they could take it to their shop and the insurance could help with the damages that she would be "in good hands." My mom pressed that she didn't have AAA insurance, just roadside assistance. They said it was fine have her insurance call them. My mom blindly trusted them, given they were a third party company that works for AAA, and we have never (up until this point) had a bad experience with AAA. My sister was with my mom and driving with her. My sister signed a paper and wasn't given any copies of what she signed. They should have provided a copy. At the same time, my mom had asked for her house key from the guy who towed her car before he left. The guy who towed her car asked, annoyed, "Don't you have a copy?" My mom said ", Well yes but it's in my house I need the key to get in." He begrudgingly gave it to her. In hindsight we found this extremely creepy! Jump to same day, same week, and next, of back and forth calling asking for car updates. Each time we were told the car wasn't there or in another facility. My dad also went in person and kept getting the run around that either the car wasn't there or that they could not tell him anything without the manager present. Mind you, each time the manager wasn't in each day my dad went (total of at least 4x that he went in person). If it weren't for the proof from AAA that we got a tow to their location, there would have been no proof they had our car, and they could have gotten away with saying they "didn't have it!" They didn't give my mom any paperwork or invoice when they tower the car, they just gave her a business card. Finally the insurance got a hold of them and they were told that they would give the car back IF they pay an arm and a leg for the amount of time the car was "stored"!!! Held hostage is more like it. On top of that they told my dad they can't give him any invoice or quote, that it's all by "verbal contract"!! Our insurance also sent their own towing car to help us get the car out, but Hal's/Sebo said the tow car never arrived. Which was lies too. We basically lost the car to them. Unfortunately my mom fell for a scam. Don't ever do business with them! Run as fast as you can! I still can't believe this happened to us, and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Please don't let this happen to you. Run! Also, upon looking at further inspection, they're either owned by the same people, or partner with Sebo Towing as they're giving the same address for business ( one just says "suite" and the other "unit"). Sebo is rated an F on Better Business Bureau. So please be careful with who you trust with your car. Don't make the same mistakes my mom made. read more

My elderly Chevrolet snapped it's shift cable! I couldn't get it into any gear, and needed to call for a tow truck. Billy arrived from Hal's club service, and he was amazing! I wish I could give them no stars. They put my car on a flat bed and after it was on a flat bed they wanted to charge me $125 plus $10 a mile because my car was a "sports car". I told the tow truck driver to take my car off the tow truck. I have AAA and I called AAA on the spot. AAA told me I should not be paying anything. This company is scamming people. Then I called dispatch at Hal's at 8am to confirm, they stated yes the driver with the flatbed will be there at 10:30am as he is reserved for you. This is a broker service. They take the order from AAA and tell you it's 30 min. they keep extending it and shopping it until they can maximize their profit. AWFUL TOW SERVICE. Going to try to file a complaint with AAA to get them removed as an authorized tow service. Showed up to tow a vehicle for us and they stated that they aren't able to tow because it "looks modified" which makes no sense as they were using a flatbed. After they stated it was against policy to tow the vehicle, they stated that they could tow it if we paid them cash under the table instead of going through AAA. I had my car towed using this company, through AAA. The tow did exceed the AAA mileage and I was charged for the excess miles, all this is fine. The driver was polite, arrived timely, and no issues. After the tow, I paid by Debit Card, but was told I could not receive a receipt at that time. I have been calling and talking with Julie, several times a week for a few months, being told it will be gotten to me. All I need or want is a copy of an invoice with my VIN on it, so I can get reimbursed from my extended warranty. I really cannot for the life of me understand why they can't supply this. Maybe I'm fortunate that this is all I'm needing, I can only imagine if there was a greater issue such as damage to my car from the tow.
