The lentil soup was amazingly flavorful and the meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The portion sizes were small for the price, though. Greeters and servers were fast and friendly. And the indoor dining had a relaxed and welcoming appeal.

FOOD RATING: 10/10 -- A Must-Try Feast! Feast alert! Jana Grill in Watertown, Massachusetts delivers a next-level culinary experience that blends the best of Georgian and Armenian cuisine into something truly unforgettable. What to Expect: The lamb is melt-in-your-mouth perfection -- juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Don't miss their signature soup dumplings filled with lamb and beef -- only available in-house, and absolutely worth the trip. Must-Try Appetizers: The eggplant rolls with walnuts are not just beautiful, they're flavor-packed with a creamy, nutty punch. Showstopper Dish: The khachapuri -- a warm, gooey Georgian three-cheese bread -- steals the spotlight. One bite and you'll understand why this dish alone is worth the visit! Sweet Finale: End your meal with their meringue dessert, the perfect sweet note after such a rich, comforting spread. If you're looking for a new type of food and cultural dining experience, Jana Grill is a hidden gem you absolutely have to try.

Out two flatbreads. Very different from each other and from other things we've eaten.

Phenomenal place. We've never had Armenian food and were in the area so we decided to stop in for lunch. The menu was confusing to me but only because I'm American and therefore I know nothing about any other nations' cultures or foods. Luckily after the native names of each menu item they had plain English explanations of what they were ... for, you know, us Americans. We ended up eating the flatbreads (tried to have a light lunch). Wonderful and very different from what we're used to (you know, like McDonald's and Subway). And my wife had the lentil soup which she said was fantastic. Slightly different flavoring than her own. The waitstaff was very attentive. Prices are right. Ambiance was really nice -- not loud at all. Doubtful we'll be in the area again but I highly recommend Jana as a good lunch or dinner spot, especially if you're in the mood for something different.

Food quality and taste was great! We were also a walk in and they were able to accommodate us (a party of three). Sadly they were out of a couple of menu options, things we were planning on ordering, so that did slightly disappoint us, but it seemed like we were lucky to even get a table. Admittedly the service was not the best. We were ready to pay and go for quite a while and the server never came over, he had to be flagged down. We also ordered a coffee that took a while to come. We then learned it was because traditionally it comes at the end of the meal, however our meal was finished for a while and we were ready to leave before the coffee even arrived. I would still love to try this place again because the taste and quality of the food was great! I just think we had an off experience. Make a reservation!

The food was very good and I will be back! 1) Lahmajun - 4 stars 2) Kofta Lamb Kebab - 5 stars 3) Hummus was very good Service was good, 4 stars and Ambiance was nice but the tables looked like they came from a restaurant in Northern New England, not the center of Watertown

The food was outstanding! Service excellent and ambiance was decent. They have a small parking lot behind the building. My only wish was that I lived closer to try more of their food. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing Georgian cuisine and gem. Loved the ajarian khachapuri which is essentially a bread as vessel for cheese & eggs which you then mix all together. The large portion (shareable) is very filling for 2 people. The charcoal grilled half rack of lamb came with 4 chops, reasonably portion sized with thin flatbread/pita and fresh toppings of red onions, pickles, etc. We also had a side of potatoes with creamy mushrooms and finished off with extra strong coffee. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Friday night and the restaurant was bustling! Had to wait 30 minutes for a seat and stayed all the way to closing. It was very cozy atmosphere, live DJ, and friendly service.

Items ordered: Eggplant rolls, falafel, roasted potatoes, toum, garlic yogurt, Armenian coffee Value: Prices are reasonable and it's worth it for the delicious food! The Review: I wish I had more photos of everything but I was too busy absolutely devouring this food. Everything was fresh and you can tell it's made with care. With all of the small plates, Jana is a great place for sharing. The interior looks like a chalet of some sort, with all solid wood everywhere. Paired with the awesome food, it's a great experience. Will definitely be returning to try the roasted vegetable, hummus, and everything else.

Met a few friends to catch up over lunch. Service was friendly and efficient. Love the cozy and well decorated space. We shared a few dishes - eggplant salad, a wrap and Armenian flatbread. It was all delicious. Free parking lot in the back.

Delicious Armenian restaurant right in Watertown. The kebabs were juicy and served with onions. The Tolma was full of flavor. The ambience was warm and the service was excellent.

The food was absolutely amazing! The ambience is cozy and makes you feel right at home. Service was great too, but honestly, the food stole the show. We ordered the Georgian Eggplant Roll, the individual Georgian Khachapuri (which is actually huge!), and the Assorted Losh-Kebab for two. Everything was incredibly flavorful and delicious. I'm honestly surprised to see some complaints about the plate for two -- we thought it was more than generous!

Went with a group of 10 people, from the menu some chose single servings and other chose serving for 2. The portions are very very little. The servig for 2 is little for $65. The waiting time for the food is too long and the ground chicken kofta is soo bad. I am sharing serving for 2. I would not recommend it, other restaurants like boston kebab has better menu and way bigger portions for the same price!

Steak Kabob Wrap: I ordered the medium well, and it was noticeably overcooked. My colleague who ordered the medium also well agreed But regardless, the freshly grilled steak was still quite aromatic. The ingredients were all fresh; the rich and creamy hummus, the sweet and sour tomatoes, and the crisp and refreshing cucumber were all wrapped in the markouk. Markouk flatbreads are grilled daily, thin, smooth, and chewy, much better than pita or lavash in my first impression. Chicken Kabob Wrap: Their signature dish. The chicken breast was still juicy. The owner is very familiar with the whale watching boat schedule and will tell you if you have time to eat before boarding. It has a 4.9 rating on Google Maps, but the food isn't nearly as good as it seems; after all, it's just a wrap, and it probably benefits from the whale watching reputation.
