Unfortunately, I think the restaurant screwed up our shishito peppers. We order these whenever we can and these probably rank amongst the worst we've ever had. It's not the most complex dish to make - blistered shishito peppers can be as easy as a bit of oil and salt to cook and top with. You can add dashi or a ponzu sauce, but our bowl was absolutely FULL of sauce. The entire bottom section of peppers were fully submerged. The amount of liquid made most of the peppers in the dish soggy and extremely sour.

I get a lot of takoyaki that is entirely too hot and have to crack them open to cool before eating them. My husband did not enjoy the Godzilla roll he said the topping was too much and didn't add to the flavor. But enjoyed the other two. I enjoyed all three rolls the flavor was fresh and very little need for soy sauce fine without it. If we are ever in Charlotte with time to eat I would stop here again.

My husband thought his soup was perfectly spicy. A note about parking - if you can park in the lot in front of the building, you scan a QR code, and open a parking time block.
