    Sushi samples at Charlotte StreEats

I have not yet visited, but they were at the Charlotte StreEats event yesterday. And in case anyone was wondering how Omakase can charge what they do for the Sushi Dining Experience... that scallop dish provided the answer. My taste buds felt like they had gone deep sea diving (NUDE) the minute it hit my tongue! It was amazing

We had lunch there today. The place only has six seats with a prefixed menu. Best Japanese food you can find in Charlotte.

Phenomenal! My husband treated me to this amazing experience for our anniversary, it was worth every penny! Our standards are high especially when it comes to sushi and this hit every mark! I was a little nervous not being in control of what I was going to eat, but I tried things just probably would never had ordered on my own and now I can say I would eat these items with no hesitation. It was very hard to decide which was my favorite course, I'm torn between the scallop with caviar, soft shell crab or Wagyu with truffles. The entire experience was pleasurable, Chef Robin, his wife and the sommelier, were all attentive, had wonderful conversations with us, very knowledgeable, recommended other places for us to try. All in all this was probably the best dining experience I have ever encountered. Well done Chef!

The team behind Prime Fish opened a new location for their omakase experience in Charlotte, which is the first Edomae style omakase in North Carolina. I've been to several omakase by the Prime Fish team but I'm proud to say the new experience is one of the best omakases I've experienced globally. It's definitely in my top 3. (It's so good I went twice this month - oops). This experience is not for everyone though. It is tailored to sushi connoisseurs, who would really appreciate the quality. Itamae Robin flies most of the fish in from Japan, along with other key ingredients, like the rice, vinegar, and wasabi root. Even the hand painted dishware comes from Japan. Of course, this quality comes at a cost. The experience starts at $300 per person. The space itself is very traditional. Filled with natural wood, the design is clean, simple, and intimate. The restaurant will offer two seatings a night, where up to 8 people can enjoy 16 blissful courses. The menu changes seasonally to showcase the best fish available, so depending on when you go, the menu may feature anything from Rosemary Smoked Otoro to Black Sea Pearch on Uni Rice to braised Giant Pacific Octopus to A5 Wagyu topped with Uni, Black Truffle and Caviar. (The A5 Wagyu even has a certificate of authenticity, complete with serial number). Reservations are made through Tock - making it super easy to book. You prepay in full, which is nice, so you don't have to think about anything during the meal. If you can manage a reservation though, you'll be treated to an incredible show of culinary genius, with some of the best quality fish you've ever eaten. It's also important to note that itamae Robin is a certified Sake adviser, which is like a sommelier for sake. While alcohol is an additional cost (selections made while dining), chef Robin has curated the perfect collection to pair with his creations. To make a long story short, for anyone as obsessed with sushi as I am, I highly recommend this experience!!

The finest restaurant in Charlotte. The price is extreme ($300 prepaid without drinks), but you get what you pay for. Chef Robin chooses the best ingredients, and he prepares them impeccably. There is nowhere else in town that serves sushi of this quality. Highlights of my visit were the tempura soft-shell crab, the wagyu yakitori, the o-toro, and the anago.

Listed one of the best sushi in usa, tried and it was unbelievable experience. Start with 6 appetizers, some sushi and japanese melon as dessert was surprisingly best omakase place i've ever been

The restaurant is stylish, modern, and surprisingly chic , with a great location that makes it easy to add to an evening out. As first-time guests, we especially appreciated our server, who patiently walked us through the process and made sure there were no surprises. The explanation about the charge for uneaten all-you-can-eat sushi that guests want to take home was particularly helpful. Knowing the rules upfront makes all the difference and sets the right expectations from the start. The food was excellent. We worked our way through several rolls , sampled dumplings , and didn't find a miss among them. My Lycheetini was delicious, and after tasting a couple of sakes , I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Zero regrets there. Parking requires a little planning, with a paid lot nearby unless you're fortunate enough to snag a street spot right in front. Overall, I'd happily return and enjoy the entire experience all over again.

I would skip their fried rolls since you can barely taste the actual sushi. Their classic rolls and specificities are good though! So his choice was here. Google directions suck they took us around the back to the parking garage for the 2nd level and since we have never been here before it took us a few minutes to figure out how to get down to the first level. When we entered there was a waiter taking an order and no one else on the floor so we had a little bit to get seated even though there were only two other parties in the restaurant. We were able to sit wherever we wanted so I sat with a view of the screen with the replay of the Brazil FIFA game on. My husband wanted the unagi don but didn't order because the price seemed high. The table next to us all ordered bowls and the serving size was huge so my husband regretted it. We order takoyaki, spicy wings, and 3 rolls Godzilla, Hadouken, and Master Roshi. The wings had amazing flavor but were not spicy. Takoyaki was flavorful and the perfect temperature. I get a lot of takoyaki that is entirely too hot and have to crack them open to cool before eating them. My husband did not enjoy the Godzilla roll he said the topping was too much and didn't add to the flavor. But enjoyed the other two. I enjoyed all three rolls the flavor was fresh and very little need for soy sauce fine without it. If we are ever in Charlotte with time to eat I would stop here again.

The cucumber salad was nicely, chilled on refreshing the takoyaki delicious the temper was good, had a cocktail it was fine, except very small considering what it cost. . The servers were efficient, friendly, and conscientious. The only thing was the restroom. There were a couple of signs in there that I did not consider appropriate for restaurant of the caliber in any case bye . We'll have to try again another time to see if that makes the reaction not bad but not great either.

The octopus honestly wasn't fully my type flavor-wise because of the seasoning, but it was cooked extremely well -- probably the most tender octopus I've ever had. Great location in south end near the light rail. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The restaurant is gorgeous! I was in amazement walking to my seat. The host was about to sit us at a table, but we requested a booth and were accommodated. Our server was very nice and thoroughly explained the menu. We started off with the empanadas and I ordered my first virgin "pinny yolada" :). The empanadas were mind blowing! They were nice and hot, flavorful, and absolutely a delight! We were so impressed, we decided to order the double fried wings afterwards. The wings were good and had an interested flavor with the tamarind. After the wonderful appetizers, it was time for the entrees. I ordered the short rib yuca gnocchi and my friend the arroz con pollo. On paper the gnocchi sounded sublime, but in actuality it was lacking a lot. The entire dish lacked so much flavor, even with hot sauce, additional salt, and lime it tasted bland. I was very disappointed. The empanadas and service were a saving grace, I ordered two orders of empanadas to go for my family. However they were so expensive. I paid $14 for 3. Even though I loved the empanadas, I probably would not be back.

We arrived at 5:17 p.m., were greeted immediately, and seated right away. When I opened my menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see "Happy Birthday" printed across the top. Another thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special. Since we arrived early, the atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and honestly very romantic. We could actually hear each other talk without raising our voices. The lighting was perfectly dim--creating a cozy ambiance without making it difficult to see the menu. The service was equally enjoyable. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly, and never overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As for the food, it was every bit as good as I remembered. The quality hasn't changed at all--fresh, beautifully prepared sushi with consistently excellent flavors. We'd never tried Omakase before, but we've had other curated dining experiences. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant, she started on beverages, and explained that the Omakase would be a two‑hour experience...totally fine. Within the first 20 minutes, our first dish arrived and it was excellent...But then...nothing. We waited, and waited, and waited. An entire hour passed before the next dish appeared. I pulled the waitress aside to check on the delay, she explained they had a sudden influx of customers but she'd ask the kitchen to move a little quicker. The food did start coming out after that, and the managers came over to address the delay, which I appreciated, but the damage was done. I wanted a memorable birthday experience for my daughter, and unfortunately it ended up being a bit of a disappointment considering the time and cost. The food itself was delicious, but poor pacing and lack of attention to the customer overshadowed the entire experience. I didn't ask for compensation but the managers took it upon themselves to comp my wine flight. I hope this was a one off experience but I can't say that I'll return to this restaurant.

No restaurant serving raw fish should ever have issues like that. The environment felt dirty, uncomfortable, and poorly managed. I genuinely do not understand the hype around this place. Between the awful attitude from the owner and the unsanitary conditions, I would never recommend anyone eat here. Charlotte has WAY too many amazing sushi and ramen spots to waste your money at a place that treats customers badly and can't even keep the restaurant clean.
