When my waffle arrived, I immediately noticed what appeared to be a hair cooked into the center of it. I brought it to Robert's attention, and he apologized and promptly removed the waffle. Shortly afterward, as I was preparing to eat my hash browns, I noticed what appeared to be additional small hairs in them as well. At that point, I completely lost my appetite and became concerned enough to check my children's meals too. I asked Robert to remove my food. What disappointed me most was not simply finding hair in the food--mistakes can happen in any restaurant. It was how the situation appeared to be handled afterward. I noticed that the cook I believed had prepared the food was not wearing a hair restraint, and after Robert informed him of the issue, I did not see any acknowledgment or effort from the cook to address my concern. Instead, he appeared to leave the area shortly afterward. I do want to recognize Robert for remaining courteous and apologetic throughout the situation. I appreciated the way he personally handled my concerns. For me, cleanliness and proper food-handling practices are extremely important, especially when I am dining with my children. As longtime customers, this was particularly disappointing because we have chosen to return here many times in the past. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously, reviews its kitchen hygiene procedures, and ensures appropriate hair restraints and food-safety practices are consistently followed. I am not writing this review to attack anyone. I am sharing it because customers should be able to feel comfortable and confident about the cleanliness of the food being served to their families.
