As someone in the reataurant business, People need to understand that the prices reflect the current state of the food costs/economy. Trust me, $11 for a burger is NOT that bad. I have to say I think this is the best burger spot in the area. Meat is very flavorful. Not a thin crispy burger like I was expecting (like smash burger size). It was meaty. Loved it and definitely recommend this spot. BUT...please change your drink menu. 14.99 for a cocktail which are mostly mezcal. I definitely would have preferred better drinks (didn't like mine all). It was some tequila mint cocktail. I would have turned it back but the bartender seemed kinda intense and wasn't feeling like dealing with it so I drank it and got a good bitter buzz. Please add some more beer selections and better drinks with a non douchy price point. Doesn't match the vibe of the spot. Definitely will be back and will order a beer next time. read more

We visited here for our second time for Father's Day. A fun environment. The burgers are good. Fries are pretty tasteless. Not cheap, but what isn't these days. The really weird thing was after we ordered at the register and sat down to wait for our food, we noticed a 26% tip had been added to our order and charged to our credit card. Post-Covid we rarely tip for fast food as cost is already a factor and certainly did not add a 26% tip at the register. We asked about the tip and was greeted pretty much with shrugged shoulders...... Suggest if you eat here, be vigilant as to what you're being charged. read more

Crowded but the food was great! There's some spaces in the back but must reserve the bottom part of the patio. It gets really packed here, everyday during dinner time and weekends! We brought our dogs and we have a small barker. Server was scared and I was confused if he was scared-irritated or scared-nervous. Will come back for the food to go but won't come back for sit down and won't bring the dogs. read more

OK Place. Music blaring, hard to have a conversation and would not recommend taking anyone for a reasonable conversation. I've gone there a couple times alone and with a guest. Hamberger every time. Hope this joint makes it past first year. As a local I have seen over 15 different joints go in and out of this corner within a year or two. If you want a truly outstanding burger, try the Bullweavel on Wintergrdens in Lakeside. It is the best burger that has been around for over 40 years. read more

Mixed news from me I'm afraid - party of 4 adults Saturday 1/28 around 6pm. Positives: great burgers and fries, really loved them, also very good service from our busy helper (didn't get a name), and great drinks selection. So why the indifferent score? (Side note, it's a "family friendly" place so a little chaotic with kids running around off the leash etc, but we understand having had kids of our own etc). However....... Negatives: It was really hard to find a seat away from intrusively loud "clubby" music! We managed by hiding away round the back, not ideal on a chilly night, but the music being pumped into the restaurant was WAY TOO LOUD!!! When we walked back through (around 7pm) to leave we noticed diners having to get close and shout at each other to make conversation over the ridiculously loud generic club dirge blasting across the room. I'm pretty sure we decided that was a bad idea in 2020? If this volume is normal I'd urge the accounts people at HH to start reserving for the staff class action lawsuit that will come once tinnitus cases inevitably arise. Also I'll bet there's a health and safety code against exposing staff to loud noise for hours on end. It's such a shame because the fundamentals of food, drink and service are all good - but we won't be back to be deafened any time soon. Sorry! read more

So I went with my friend and my 2 dogs, since it's dog friendly.. and I was not happy when there was a big group of parents and children who were allowed to run around screaming and breaking glasses while their inattentive parents ignored them. When my dogs were so scared they wouldn't come out from the table, I had had enough.. and left. The waitstaff was sympathetic but said NOTHING to the parents. When one of the men said very snotty, " you better leave this is a kid's restaurant ". Well it's also an adult and a dog restaurant! It isn't Chucky Cheese!! What a jerk... I will not go back... maybe learn how to raise respectful children... but that's not gonna happen. read more

Usually when I write my reviews, I'm one to take pictures. For this one, I forgot to with how indulged I was with the amazing atmosphere and customer service. The burgers are smash style so if you're hungry (hangry even) I'd suggest the double hut and some fries. If you're down to take a cocktail or two I'd try the Yacht Club. The food was phenomenal but what made our experience worth another visit was the company of Everett and Gary. Considering it was our first times Everett was extremely helpful with guiding our order. Sitting at the bar definitely made our experience here amazing from the drinks to the food to even the small talk. Definitely planning on coming back again soon- we're hooked! read more

The food was fantastic. My husband and son both ordered the Double burger. As soon as they were done, they ordered ANOTHER!! It's THAT GOOD!! We also tried the Poke. It was excellent (don't assume this burger place can't do fish!!!). The drinks were equally great. I suggest just sitting down, settling in, keep a menu and chill. Try everything. The quality has gone downhill since their first few months of opening. We ordered the classic hut and the patties were very well done, close to being burnt. We asked the people next to us if theirs were cooked the same and it was. Our order took 30 minutes to come out and there were 2 people ahead of us. Seems like the cook took his sweet time flipping burgers. If the place is called, Hamburger Hut, they should be really good at making a burger. There's absolutely no reason for me to come back. So excited the new location opened! Went today with the fam.. it was even better than I remember. First off, the staff was so friendly and on top of it! We all got burgers, fries and the salad on their super short but sweet menu. ( I love a small menu!) Everything was amazing. Got the double burger with grilled onions and it was cooked perfect. Fries on point. Salad was delicious. Everyone kept checking on us to make sure all was good. Excellent customer service. This place just can't seem to get it together. They have good food, but they act like they just opened for business. Why is there a line of 7 people trying to order food with only one person at the front taking orders? It takes 20 minutes to order food... get another register going. Staff is just standing around while one person handles orders. Further, their online ordering app is terrible. It's not easy to use and you can't order food easily so everyone waits in line trying to order food Vs doing it remotely. It's 2023... get your act together and make it easy to take a consumers money. I don't get it? Why have a QR code on each table if no one knows how to order food? Been here once before and had a great experience so rallied the family to try it together. Upon entrance I could tell the business was at high capacity, so I ordered the food to go and a couple of adult beverages while we waited. My husband pointed out those after us received their food first and shortly after we received a partial order for our food to go. I communicated with several employees trying to get the rest of our order and it wasn't resolved until I connected with the manager who was quick to respond. I was driving on the coast 101 from Solana Beach because traffic was so bad on the 5 north . I was dying for a hamburger and stopped in the Hamburger Hut. I've lived her all my life and don't know how I've missed this place. Small, clean, friendly with a small bar and a few tables. Loved the decor especially the texture weaved ceiling and walls. Ordered a double burger with everything-- to go. Hands down, the best burger I've had in a long time. Moist, sloppy, cheesy, abundantly beefy. Pure heaven. Far more delicious than any drive-thru quality. This is the real thing. I'm definitely going back. read more
