My neighbor & I tried out this place for the first time. We were able to park right in front of the wagon. We immediately got in the line of about 7 people. Our order was taken quickly - I got the double burger (2 slider burgers with pickles, a slice of onion and salt & pepper. My neighbor got 2 single burgers. We took our burgers to the park to eat them. They were delicious! They don't offer cheese, ketchup or mustard for the burgers but I think they need mustard. The hype doesn't fit. I was told the spice blend is top-secret and that there's a pricey non-disclosure. Ha. No spice at all. I was told these were the best hamburgers ever. NOT! The website says they are crunchy. Well, the crunch is because the hamburgers are thin and deep fried in an inch of hamburger fat...talk about sick to your stomach...this will do it. There's nothing even remotely special about these burgers. Simple ground beef, fried/deep fried. Here's how...the wagon sits on a non-level sidewalk, thus the wagon is not level. And neither is the frying pan. The fat from the hamburgers runs to one side of the non-level frying pan where on my visit was about 1" deep. The burgers are cooked in the slop. And with the amount of fat coming off of these burgers, you have to believe they are low grade beef with a high amount of fat. At the grocery store, this would be a 73/27 ratio of meat to fat. The buns are old (not fresh) - they crumble in your hand. The pickle and onion is the only worthy thing about this burger. Those who say this is the best burger have led a sheltered life in the world of hamburgers and must be comparing it to fast-food. Don't waste your time/money. read more

Normally, I don't eat pickles on my burgers, but these are the best. It's fun to watch the process of taking the orders and preparing the burgers. I LOVE the Hamburger Wagon and have been coming for years. I come every time I'm in Miamisburg and sometimes I even make the 45 minute drive from downtown Cincinnati for these burgers. These burgers are slider size and are made in a huge skillet of grease, which makes them crunchy and amazing. This spot isn't for you if you are expecting a big juicy cheeseburger (I'm sorry)! I think that's what some people are expecting and you can't get any sauce or cheese. It's simple in the best way: salt, pepper, pickle, and onion. Patties are fried and slightly crispy. Condiments and cheese would be criminal, so don't bother asking. The Wagon is a Miamisburg city tradition above all else. Not being a native of Ohio, or Miamisburg, local coworkers of mine ranted and raved about the good, greasy simplicity of the hamburger wagon. There really is something in their name, because it actually is a small wagon/cart where the employees, this time two people that look to be under the age of 20, were busily frying up the small, slider size hamburger patties in a very large cast iron skillet with nearly 4 inches of fat in it. The smell was amazing, especially if you like greasy food. They are open at odd hours during the week days and especially on the weekends. After racing the 15 minutes from where I live to downtown Miamisburg, I placed my order, and then, it occurred to me belatedly to ask if they took card payment. They brusquely informed me that their stand is cash only. With only 10 minutes left till closing time, I waved goodbye and said "sorry, I've only got cards, thank you anyway maybe some other time..." If the owner/operator of the famous hamburger wagon is reading this, ITS 2018!!!!! IT'S IN NO WAY ROMANTIC OR CHARMING TO BE A CASH ONLY OPERATION IN THIS DECADE!!!!! BUY A CARD READER!! Childhood memories. Truly the real reason most people come to this place. I grew up in the 'Burg and every time I return I make sure to visit. Sometimes I even make my relatives who still live in the area bring them for me. It's a little family owned wagon that sells burgers. They also have chips. But I've never tried anything but the burgers. Is it the best burger you'll ever have? No. Is it really even a real burger? Not really. But there is something about that fatty grease the patty is fried in, the combo of just salt, pepper, onion and pickle that seems to hit the spot. Don't come here with any expectations. It's an experience. I don't go to Chipotle for authentic Mexican Food. I don't go to Papa John's for the best pizza. I go there because I like the taste of the food. That's what you'll get here. This place is a hidden gem! We just moved to this area and couldn't figure out why we always saw lines of people standing outside of a tiny wagon all day.
