    Steering wheel off center
    Rogi R.

I recently purchased a brand new vehicle from Galpin Honda, but the excitement of a new car quickly faded due to persistent alignment issues and disappointing customer service. While my initial sales experience was 5-star, the service department has been a different story entirely. Upon delivery, I noticed the vehicle's alignment was not straight. I promptly made an appointment with the dealership for a re-alignment. Following this first service, the car did track straight; however, the steering wheel was noticeably off-center. I scheduled a second appointment and showed the service department photographic evidence of the off-center steering wheel. After waiting five hours, I was dismissed and told everything was fine and that nothing further could be done. Their only suggestion was to contact American Honda directly. I followed their advice, and American Honda opened a claim. In their formal response, they stated that Galpin had aligned the steering wheel twice--once by the dealership's technicians and once by a Field Technical Specialist--and that extensive test drives revealed no issues. This information is false. The dealership only performed one alignment service; the second time I brought the car in, no work was performed before I was directed to American Honda. I'm frustrated by these "cat and mouse" games. I'm sharing this review to make other prospective buyers aware of the kind of service issues that contribute to the negative reputation dealers often get. They are incredibly attentive during the sales process, but after you sign the paperwork, that personalized service disappears. I am not surprised with the service department here because with my previous vehicle, I took it in for an oil change and tire rotation, and they lied about rotating my tires. I removed two tire caps to see if they'd actually rotate tires and guess what, both tire caps I removed were in the same position, no tires were rotated. My warning to others: be vigilant with the service you receive after a sale is complete and when you take your car for service. Take photos and videos as you drop your vehicle off.

    I Heart Them C.

I wouldn't have bothered posting but they kept bugging. So here's my story: Honda has a special of a one pay lease of $3800 for a Honda Prologue for 24 months. What this means is that instead of paying a monthly lease, I pay all the months in 1 lump sump. Hence one pay lease of $3800. So I went to the dealership and Ron (salesperson) told me he could do that deal. Shows me the paperwork and bam $4600+ in taxes and fees. WTF? I know I had to pay fees and taxes but why so high? He then told me I had to pay the total vehicle tax. Bullshxt. Why would I pay the full amount of taxes on a vehicle Im only keeping for 2 years. In California I know you only pay taxes on the monthly lease payment or in this case the $3800 one time payment. So I said no thanks and contacted other dealerships. I told them what happened and they said that's not normal. Only time I pay the full amount of taxes is at the end of my lease term and if I decide to buy the car. So either Galpin Honda does it different from the rest of the dealership or they're scamming their customers. Be warned. I included pics of my conversation with one of them.

I recently had my car serviced at Galpin Honda in Mission Hills. While the sales team was great and professional, the maintenance service left much to be desired. My car is fairly new, only about six months old, and was always well-maintained and free of any damage. However, after the service, I noticed damage that the team refused to take responsibility for. Despite discussing the issue with the supervisor, the resolution offered was to split the repair costs, which I find unfair since I'm confident the damage wasn't caused by me. Additionally, the representative I interacted with, Henry, didn't show proper courtesy or acknowledgment, which only added to the frustration. Overall, it feels like the maintenance team doesn't truly care about their customers or their vehicles. I hope this feedback helps others make informed decisions and encourages better accountability in the future. Not to mention . Mr Henry made a walk through right at the beginning, all around the car , no where in the paper work did he mark any damage in my car.

Yusuf Fuad. He's a big asset not only on Mission Hills location but to Honda company. We knew him since he was in Honda Van Nuys, almost 2 decades and 3 Honda cars after. We keep on coming back to Honda Mission Hills because of him. Very professional, very helpful and most of all, easy to talk to. Always pick up our calls and answer all our concerns. We will not go anywhere else but here, he's the best sales rep we ever dealt with. Thank you Yusuf

I've been to a few dealers where you immediately feel like someone is trying to push you into something you don't want. He talked to me like a normal person, not a "sale," and that made a big difference. I had a lot of questions about different cars and what would make sense for me He didn't rush me or give vague answers...he actually knew the details or looked them up. My credit situation isn't perfect and I wasn't sure about a new vehicle right now. Chris never made me feel judged or uncomfortable he was straightforward, and he focused on what options could actually work for me rather than wasting time on things that weren't realistic or making me feel like I was a waste of time. Even though I didn't end up purchasing a car today, I walked out of there feeling like I actually understand my options now. Chris took the time to break down what I would need to do to get into a better position and what price range would realistically make sense for me. It didn't feel like a "lost sale" experience--it felt like I was set up with a clear plan for when I'm ready. I'm definitely going to come back and work with him again when I'm ready to move forward. It's rare to meet someone at a dealership who feels both professional and genuinely down-to-earth, but Chris managed to be both. Highly recommend asking for him if you're looking for someone who actually listens and takes the time to help.

First time customer here and my experience at Mission Hills Hyundai was extremely disappointing…read more I brought my 2023 Hyundai Elantra in after multiple warning lights appeared and the battery began draining. The dealership kept my car for several days because they had difficulty diagnosing the issue and even had to involve Hyundai Corporate. During that time, I was without transportation until they eventually approved a loaner vehicle. To their credit, they ultimately diagnosed the problem as a short related to the rear camera and replaced the battery under warranty. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. When I got home after picking up my vehicle, I noticed that the area underneath my dashboard had exposed wiring hanging down. It looked unfinished, so my husband contacted the dealership and left a voicemail for my service advisor (Oscar) because I was concerned something had been left apart or damaged during the repair. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior. When I called to speak with my service advisor, I was told the technician never touched the area around the OBD port while my vehicle was in their care. That statement immediately concerned me because the issue I discovered was in the same area, making it difficult for me to understand how it had gone unnoticed. Since the diagnostic connector is also located in that area, I was left confused about how the vehicle could have been diagnosed without that area being accessed. When I arrived after work, the manager (Hovik) showed me another Hyundai and explained that the OBD port does not have a cover, which I appreciated. However, my concern was the wiring hanging down underneath the dashboard. His proposed solution was simply to secure the wire with a zip tie. I explained that I wanted the wiring routed properly the way it should have been from the factory, not held up with a zip tie. At no point did anyone explain why the wiring could not be secured using the factory routing or mounting method. Instead, the only solution presented to me was to secure it with a zip tie. I was told the exposed wiring was connected to an aftermarket device that was either an alarm or a tracking device installed when the car was originally sold. I explained that I never purchased or activated any alarm or tracking service and asked if it could be simply removed. I was told they could not remove it because they couldn't verify whether it was active and that I would have to take the vehicle back to the dealership where I originally purchased it. That explanation didn't make sense to me. This is a Hyundai dealership working on a Hyundai under warranty, yet I was being sent to a different Hyundai dealership for something involving my own vehicle. I was asking them to properly address the wiring that was left exposed after my service visit. Rather than addressing my concern, I called my husband to speak to the manager since I wasn't being understood and all I could hear at the end of their conversation was the manager telling my husband , "If you want to escalate it, go right ahead." He handed me the general manager's name and number, walked away, and that's how that conversation ended. Everyone makes mistakes. What disappointed me wasn't necessarily the repair itself, it was how my concerns were handled afterward. As a customer, I expected professionalism, respect, and accountability. I expected my concerns to be addressed, explained, and, if necessary, corrected. As a female customer, I left feeling like my concerns were repeatedly dismissed instead of being taken seriously. Whether that was intentional or not, it was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Every customer deserves to have their questions answered respectfully, regardless of their level of automotive knowledge. I hope this dealership improves the way it communicates with customers because no one should feel like they're inconveniencing the staff simply for asking questions about their own vehicle. My biggest concern was the lack of communication, professionalism, and willingness to address reasonable questions about my own vehicle that ultimately led me to write this review. I hope the General Manager investigates my concerns and follows up with me and my husband. If the situation is resolved professionally, I will gladly update this review to reflect that.

While the dealership may be small, they're extremely attentive to their guests and take real pride in the cars they sell. I will walk clean away from any car that i suspect may give me issues. Both cars I bought came with excellent service records, which tells me Autobakers is very selective with what they choose to offer. They're clearly not just moving inventory they're curating quite honestly what is a pretty good collection of cars. Each time I came in, I had specific questions and concerns. Frank and Eugene didn't gloss over anything, they shared details, pulled records, and made sure every aspect of the car's condition and history was transparent. On my most recent purchase, there was a minor cosmetic issue, and they made sure it was corrected before the car left the lot. After test driving the car, and doing my own research with service records, I told Eugene I was returning to purchase the car. I scheduled a second visit to see the E63 with an appointment at 11:30 AM. Not to waste my nor Autobakers time ( or any dealership when I purchase a car) I came in with my own bank pre approval both times, and the process couldn't have been smoother. He promised to find the same car right away and get a deal going we've called, text and received zero responseThis is a poor way to not have us take our business elsewhere or not lose our business after they claimed they did not want to lose us as customers. VERY alarming but 2 days after this review we get a call trying to get a deal going to again wait for follow thru when they say they'll call us back and don't During the waiting period the same car I was looking at that was sold I get a call from a lady at the dealership asking how I am liking my new car i told her you're asking how I'm liking a car I did not buy because it was sold to someone else? She says no this car is still available I hung up on her Finally I get the pink slip to my car and certificate for $ amount to purchase a new car. But was told earlier I need to put $3,000 down to buy a car while my certificate says no money down. I ignore this and get a call this past weekend again to pay $3,000 bring up the certificate clearly in writing says no money down and can walk out with a car I was looking at in the first place that is in the price range of the certificate but this person on the phone is SAYING otherwise.
