The meat we got here was Phenomenal! We passed by here several times. This place is hidden. You have to be looking for it. Glenda helped us today. She had to try very hard to be nice. Her rude side kept sneaking out. But she tried. I always remember "What people say and do says more about them than it does about you...". This place didn't try to be clean. I have em the benefit of the doubt but my wife gave the white glove treatment. She noticed bacon under the display. Dried out cubed steaks. The floor didn't look tidy. Anyway, Glenda says that they let their butcher go (on a Friday?!). Their saw broke. What else could go wrong? Got the NY Strips and some filets mignons and left. Glenda was nice. AMAZING! Service was over the top AND the meat was better quality and half the price of HEB. We ordered a 3 rib prime rib for Easter.

First staff makes the business and the staff here is amazing! Willing to take my order over the phone and have it ready?!? But I wanted to go in and experience and that was so AAA++. They catered to me and what I wanted/needed, must I mentioned this was for my father's 80th birthday of which he said the best birthday ever!! Staff asked me what I wanted and needed, along with answered any questions...first timer here. Then a nice gentleman held my purchase while I paid. So so helpful AND Prices where a blessing. 30¢. I dropped my deer off and the had it ready In week. The meat is in vacuum sealed bags. I ordered deer breakfast sausage, this meat was so lean my wife had to add grease to fry it. I am highly impressed by the quality of their meat processing. read more

Good local/family owned butcher. They cut my meat like I asked and wrapped it in a way that made it easy to refrigerate and/or freeze. I happened to go there for the first time when some started loosing their minds (initial wave of COVID). They stayed open late and served every customer until they were out of meat or hand no more customers. I'll be back and so will all my friends/family/employees who enjoy supporting small businesses, covet customer service and crave great cuts of meat. This is a very disappointing location for customer service. The meat is the same quality as any other butcher shop. The middle age lady working the counter needs to work on organization. It may help if they had tickets so customers know where they are in line. read more

Great meat and always consistent. Unfortunately the service is pretty rough. The older lady who often is out front seems mad at the world. Always screaming across the market and acts like customers are a huge inconvenience. Facebook specials advertised frequently but today (one day special) at 10:50am they had none of the chicken fajitas prepared and the lady referenced above yelled across the room to remove from Facebook if these customers keep coming in and asking about it so I obviously was not the first to inquire. I can see being out towards the end of the day but not to start the day after the special was advertised the day before. Hopefully the service and product availability gets resolved as the meat is top notch. read more

Best place to acquire your meats in Weatherford. Prices are the same as Walmart and lower than H-E-B. They also provide great service.

I'm not one of the oil barons of the area so I had hesitated going in for over a year. What a dumb move on my part. I had buying brisket from the big box store in town and wasting my time and bad pieces of meat. Today I bought a trimmed brisket and actually paid less from here. Service was awesome and I promise to be back for a couple of delicious looking steaks in that case. read more

This place used to be good. I shopped there for 16 yrs. Don't know what happened or what was changed. 6 people waiting for service and the employees are shuffling their feet and seem to be unconcerned about serving anyone. Hamilton meats is far and away the best deer/wild game processor I have ever used. Their prices are very competitive to begin with, but for the extreme quality that goes into their cutting and packaging, the value is outstanding. Everything is both saran wrapped and vacuum sealed in small packages that make is easy to just thaw out what you need for the week or so. I really can't say enough good stuff about them. If I can find a way to get an animal from pretty much anywhere to here, I'm doing it. read more

I was in town for business and snuck out to do some hunting late in the trip. I got a nice meat doe and dropped it off at the shop on Monday, but it needed to be done ASAP since I was driving home Friday morning. They promised me it would get done by Friday. I got a text Thursday evening to come pick it up! The venison cuts look great, the total yield is excellent and the sausage is delicious. Friendly and great customer service with fair prices. Very happy with the product and service. We buy an entire cow and have it processed here plus we buy all of our English Mastiff's food (raw diet) here. Our whole family (8 + 4 dogs) are fed by Hamilton Meats! They make the drive from Glen Rose well worth it. read more

Hamilton Meats had a special on bone-in ribeye steaks. I ordered three, plus a filet mignon. They had me go out and move my truck and my order was ready and in a paper sack when I came back in. I paid and went home where I opened the sack to take care of my steaks. Would you believe that they had put club steaks in the sack??? It was no mistake on their part...I had mentioned bone-in ribeye steaks several times. The white female had purposely given me the cheaper cut and hid them in the sack. We will not be using Hamilton's again. There was bone in our ground pork, which is scary when you're feeding this to a baby. Our ground meat , breakfast sausage, and smoked sausage were labeled incorrectly as well. The smoked sausage fell apart as soon as it was thawed. This is very disappointing when you spend so much time and money raising pigs thinking you are getting quality meat. I called to let them know and never received a call back. read more

We have been shopping and enjoying Hamilton Meats since we moved to Parker County and discovered them in 2006. I may be old school but I greatly appreciate and enjoy a freestanding, locally owned butcher shop over the high volume "this is what you get" grocery or big box meat counters. Their bacon wrapped filet is the best and, when cooked properly, are a most flavorful and tender cut. If you want to travel in herd and be treated as such, this is not the place. If you want a hometown butcher/meat market, this is the place. Not sure why others have made comments about rude staff - I have always been treated with the same respect given them. Was very disappointed in the service received, I should say not received! We had a big party scheduled and had ordered two lambs from them. We ordered the meat two weeks ahead of time and just to make sure called two days before to make sure it would be ready for pick up. They said yes it will be ready. When we drove from flower mound all the way to weatherford to pick it up. They said they didn't have anything ready for us. After talking to many people and hearing excuse after excuse we ended up having to scramble last minute to find lamb from a different company and of course paying double in price because of it. Very disappointed after reading such glorious reviews written by others who may have been satisfied. I bought an over priced sealed box of frozen meats. We were expecting to have a great birthday party for my daughter but surprise alright. Be sure to open the box before you pay for it!!!! Had three scrimply sized tiny ass steaks FROZEN and got 3 bags of fatty ass hamburger that cooked down to like 1/4 the size so was a whole lot of fat in there you know. Cost me over $80. for that crap and was too far to drive back to return it!!! Buy your meat at Walmart or Winn Dixie instead. I could have gotten an entire sirloin steak butt for half that price or less elsewhere and it would have been in a clear package as well. Has wholesale in the name and retail on the box. Over priced retail to be exact!! The lobby stinks real bad like rotten meat and there was discounted meat in the case for good reasons I guess. Not happy and never going back again. read more

Quality Quality Quality! I will never waste money at Walmart again now that I've found this place. When I bought beef short ribs in the past I had to buy 2 racks from the big box stores, because it's all bone and very little meat. Now I feed the whole family with one half of a rack of ribs, each rib is a full meal. read more

When I lived in Weatherford this was always my place to purchase meats. The Hamilton bacon is the best I ever had. NEVER. EVER. EVER. use Hamilton meats in Weatherford. They are irresponsible, forgetful and rude. I ordered a pig a MONTH in advance and called 7 days prior to when I needed it to verify that it would be thawed and ready to go. They forgot. They were not too concerned with how inconvenienced we were. AND, when I was about to cry he go upset at ME told me to stop making him feel bad!!!!!!!! Do NOT USE THEM!!! Horrible business!!! TX Dept. of Health where are you? No hair nets. No gloves. Just plain gross! Good customer service here is dependant upon who serves you.. Let's start with Mandy. I believe that's her name. She's gives new meaning for lazy because she adds a lotta rudeness as well. According to Mandy and another female worker, they were out of a certain meat. Little did they know, Eli the other worker had already gone to get it. Eli did come thru for us and boy was Mandy upset. Seems he put her on blast with his superb customer service because another customer said Mandy told him they were out of that particular meat too. Now, she had to fetch his as well. I'm not from TX. I was visiting for the Holidays and wasn't too astounded at Mandy's behavior because I've heard folktalk about certain TX culture, or lack there of. We spent pretty good money there, and were still kinda put off by her behavior, but boy did Eli come through for us. Thanks Eli. You're the Man! read more
