Wow, this is a 180 degree turnaround. This place was talking a good game but in retrospect they are rip off artists. From 5 stars to Zero. I was sent here by another shop that damaged my vehicle, they really lagged on fixing it but I felt like they were honest with me. I brought the vehicle back for more service later. Still a happy customer. I then brought the next vehicle in. $1300 to repair it sounded high but I agreed. Less than 500 miles and 6 months later the same exact engine code repeats. When I called the shop the person answering not only didn't know how to take a message, but called me back and yelled at me on a voice mail! It's bad enough we pay through the nose for fake repairs but the rude pushback is unacceptable. How much business will you lose for not listening to your customer? read more

I brought my 2009 Mini Cooper in for a Water pump to be replaced last May.I had replaced the other sections of the coolant system a year prior. I had no issues just wanted to replace the pump, noticed some seepage for the pump but that was all, not leaking much, just a few drips sometimes. When I picked up my car and started it in the shop all the coolant surged out, the mechanic said there is another leak from another section of the coolant system. If a pressure test was actually performed this would have been identified. I paid for that additional repair. A few days later I drove the car to San Jose and when I got to my destination my coolant was completely empty. The lower coolant hose wasn't fastened properly. I spent a whole day getting towed back to Novato. That problem was supposedly fixed free of charge. Once I got my car back it was only driven for about 30miles and I experienced the same problem but from a different location in the system, All my coolant leaked out making it un-Drivable. I've been waiting on a call back to address and fix this issue. At this point I am so frustrated and just want a proper repair. I have receipt and proof of mileage. This shouldn't have happened,so much wasted time has been spent on this repair. read more

Very dissatisfied. Their second location put on the wrong routers (unbelievable) this shop replaced them. The car was in the shop for 5 hours. 2.5 days later, when my tire pressure light came on, they called me asking to come back in because they put the wrong wheel on my car! It belonged to another car they serviced days before. Despite asking for compensation for the flawed work and having to come back in they never did. I have no confidence in their work as they initially put on the wrong part and then put on the wheel of a different car. read more

I've been here before for a set of new Falken tires, a new radiator, and oil changes. Also an EcoSteam car wash (inside and out!) when my little Sentra needed a spa day, lol. I'm thinking it's about time to give them the stellar review they deserve. Straight and to the point...Great experience. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Leo and Bryan lead a great team here. Really nice people - clean neat waiting area - excellent value - even a coffee while waiting! The shop itself is clean and hospitable. Fantastic customer care. Always so polite and professional. Nothing is too difficult for them. Staying in contact with me throughout the service proved helpful and timely. Fast, accurate and most importantly... affordable. Last week I drove in for an oil change without an appointment and was out in 20 minutes. Of course, making an appointment is a wiser move...but I was in a hurry with an out-town trip ahead of me, and needed to get in and out! Friendly and fairly priced. Bryan took care of my car, and got me back on the road. I was charged a fair price and offered their services for anything in the future. Great business! I needed parts and repair for my AC system and I trust this business gave me a good value and great service to my car. I walked away from another mechanic previous to Hamilton's, and I'm so glad because they're nice staff here and gave me a better and more reasonable deal. I especially appreciate they had me come back a week after working on my car to make sure everything was working smoothly. I probably will come back for future mechanical needs. Only reason for 4 stars is because in the pandemic, I follow guidelines and feel more comfortable when others around me do, especially indoors and places of business. These guys are very nice but i didn't feel respected as a customer wearing a mask in their business and they chose not to. Still though, I would come back. read more

Called on a Friday about getting an alignment, oil change, and TPMS sensors replaced. The guys here were very pleasant and I'm very satisfied with their work. I normally get service done at the dealership but I was able to get a next day appointment here, it being on a Saturday!!! I was shocked to find the service here was about half of what I'd have paid at the dealership!!! Great work, I'll be coming here more often. read more

Nice place for car service , initially I went to make sure (point check)of the car before going to buy . They gave small suggestions with priorities then i brought the car and went to service later for the 75K miles service . They did the recommended things in earlier before going to buy (drive belt , ac filters replaced with new one and break drum service including tire rotation . The WORST. Leo and the guys are nice and helpful but the work I had done was horrible. My Volvo SUV had some big issues going on and it was important to get an accurate diagnosis and repair. The turbos had oil burning in them and had to be replaced but more importantly, the cause of the leak had to be addressed. I was told a total engine breakdown would be quite costly and a recommended repair costing around $1,500 stood an 70 percent chance of fixing it. It was also suggested that while doing that fix that I do the timing belt maintenance and replace the tires. All in all the bill exceeded $3,500 and I emphasized the absolute need for the car to be safe and drivable for a period of time ( a few months) until I could do any more work. The day after I picked up the car, while driving with my daughter's, the car was having episodes of total system shutdown due to overheating. This was dangerous as we were on an uphill winding road and the power brakes, power steering and engine would all shut down leaving me no way to navigate or even start the car again until it slowed to a stop on its own. I called Hamilton's right away and they came to pick us and the car up. I had just spent over $3,000 dollars and this was the first drive after picking the car up. I was once again carless, and a day later I was told the thermostat was broken and radiator would have to be replaced costing another $1,500 which I said No to. The car was definitely having major issues but in fact never overheated again and the problems were clearly more systemic. A friend of mine who is not a mechanic took a look and immediately after opening the hood showed me several hoses that had not been reconnected and we're not clipped, leaving them loose and shifting. My friend had a code reader that immediately brought up codes that described the issues I was experiencing, yet I was told there were no codes showing when I asked mechanics at Hamilton's. My friend also checked the fuses, of which about 10 needed replacing. He said he couldn't tell if the work that had been done was negligent or intentionally done so.I would continue to have problems. At the end of it all my car needed an entirely new transmission which effectively junked the car for me as I had already spent so much money on it already. My friend said that a transmission fluid flush should have been done at the very least and was clearly more important than the tires or timing belt maintenance. It wasn't until another mechanic I spoke to recently told me he had similar experiences with customers of his coming from Hamilton's and he felt that at best they were careless with the work they did. As a single Mom I can say that the time with no car and money spent all resulting in a junked car has been very difficult. I strongly suggest going anywhere but here. read more
