This pub isn't like the pubs I'm used to. It's definitely not bad, but definitely not one of my top picks. The food was alright, I am definitely known to be pretty picky, so it may be hard to judge from my opinion. My family also just said most of the things were okay. The cheese fries were an interesting cut of fries, pretty thinly made, not bad though. The loaded chips, although I didn't try, the group consensus was they were pretty good. Although way too much chips for the amount of toppings that were on the chips. The Black and Tan onion rings were good! I got the ale house fish, I still have no idea what type of fish it is because the waiter had no idea. But it was decent, not too bad, definitely not too great. The quesadillas that were ordered were "pretty good." Shockingly enough, their pizza was definitely my favorite thing! I wouldn't think pizza from a pub would be all that great, but I really liked it. My dad added extra toppings and although you kind of get lost in the toppings and cheese, that's just how I love my pizza! One thing I want to add; I've worked in the service industry for a while, I will say one thing about our waiter. He really wasn't a ball of energy with us, but he made sure we were all okay, and he checked back in multiple times. I know most waiters do that, however, he had at least 8 other tables in the bar. He was the only server on the floor. For that, I think the service was pretty damn great! This is a great little place to get a cocktail or beer love the outdoor patio area staff is super friendly and always wearing their PPE. All the tables are sterilized and ready for customers. There are options to play pool and darts fro free which is great to stay occupied until the food comes but that came very fast and was fresh and good. They have a very good pub salad and the Thompson burger with the black and tan onion rings was also good. The jalopeno bottle caps were very good, deep fried with a nice kick to them. The pizza twists were ok but nothing special. Unfortunalty there are only high chairs to sit at and not really a place for a compfortable meal. Went there for the first time Sunday evening around 6pm. It wasn't busy. Ordered a couple of burgers and fries. Blah. The burgers were tasteless and too small for the buns, the fries were cold and crunchy like potato strings (the kind from the can - not even kidding). We couldn't eat them. Good place to get drinks and food. I do wish that the owners would do something about their bucket "specials". On the menu they show bucket "specials" as domestic 5 for $15 and import 5 for $20. I ordered Michelob Ultra assuming it was domestic as it is brewed in Columbus. When I got my bill I asked the sever why I was charged for import beers and was told "because they cost more". Wednesday evening about 630PM. While discussing a Yelp Talk thread about wings, a friend mentioned HP. I called, and sure enough it's half price wings special on Wednesday after 5pm. Bonus that limitations are not just Happy Hour 4-7. We strolled on down the street to a strip center locale with a curb appeal pub. "Hey, I know this place". Mezze Middle'terranean is here also. Private parking lot, with plenty of spaces. Good size patio, partially covered for shade. I now remember hearing live music flowing out to Hamilton Rd as I have driven by on nice days. I have also seen the draw of suburban motorcycle enthusiasts. When you enter, you are immediately stimulated by the display of TV overload. Big screen TV's are edge to edge, lining all the walls. Look down quickly before walking into a table. Since grabbing a cocktail here once years ago, I noticed the remodeling. It's as if John Taffer came here and said "more seats, more money". They are all high-top tables. No booths, no standard height tables. Maybe that is to remind patrons this is a PUB. The TV and Yuengling promotional material pretty well emphasize the PUB brand. Seated ourselves and were promptly greeted with help for our thirst. Now this must be a go to place for local wing eaters on Wednesday night. They were hopping at about 75+% capacity. Yet, there was plenty of staff on hand, with no bad attitude to be seen anywhere. The noise level was loud. Audio overload from the jukebox, TV's, and general bar and crowd chatter, struggling to be heard. Standard condiment basket for each table holds a special drink menu, as well as the food menus. Ok I was totally zero'ed in on the wings and my starvation. I ordered Traditional buffalo with garlic. My sweetie ordered the boneless with sweet chili tai. The wings only come in 2 sizes(boneless/traditional), half(4/5) and full(8/10). We also ordered the smothered Tater Tots, because they looked so good at a nearby table. Celery and dressing is additional $$. The food came at a respectable time considering the crowd. I immediately noticed the volume of her plate. These are not just 2" wings without bones. OH NO! These were easily 5" chicken tenders. Right there is your value plate. My traditional were big. You would not wrinkle your nose for tiny wings here. Plenty of sauce. I like a small puddle that I can re-baste if needed. Just not the pool of sauce with wings under the surface. They were the perfect crispy. Not hard, just the perfect crunch, and seal of moisture inside. I liked the heat and flavor of the sauce. The 2oz. ramekin of ranch was half full and not a value. Her boneless were less crunchy, and made of chicken tender meat filling. She did enjoy the sauce, and the chicken. The Tots had a nice crunch to them. You have to order well done or crunchy if you ever order something smothered or covered. These were chili cheese, and green onion. Served with sour cream. When being seated look up. We were under 1 of 4 fans on the high setting. Eat quick, it's getting cold fast. No one seemed to know how to change it. The tots were good, but I would suggest trying a new brand of chili. Now we really are eating quick, because literally over our shoulder, a guy is loading in speakers and setting up gear. It's loud enough. Let's go before the amp and speakers 3' away start up. I guess they have LIVE music, DJ, or Karaoke on Wednesday evening. In conclusion, we will try to put off our wing cravings until Wednesdays. Service was absolutely terrific. They were slammed for the Buckeye - Northwestern game and our server was one of the best I've seen. Miller High Life in my hand every 20 minutes. The chicken wings were something special. Crispy on outside and juicy. Loaded tots were good too. The fajita quesadilla keeps this from getting a perfect score. There were huge quarter chunks of green pepper in there. If chopped finer would make all the difference. Chicken was burnt inside the quesadilla. All else here was terrific. My husband and I were looking for a new place to grab a sandwich in the area that we thought might be good. We had a friend with us and she thought a burger sounded good. We were driving down Hamilton Road and kind of stumbled upon Hamilton's Pub and glad we did. Our food was excellent, our service was excellent and we felt as though the place was very clean. This bar is A-OK. I'm not sure why the other reviewers all had such bad experiences. I've been to Hamilton's probably 4 times and it's always been fine. I think its best to go there to watch football, but late nights on the weekends have been fun too. Nice patio when the weather's good. They have live music sometimes, but nothing amazing. The food's been pretty good and they have lots of yummy bar food choices (deep fried pretzel nuggets). Servers and bar tenders have always been pleasant and attentive. Prices are reasonable and I haven't regretted going there. Side note: One night my boyfriend was there with a buddy and a told me that there was an altercaton where a bar fight turned into a gun getting pulled. CRAZINESS! First time here. Menu had a lot of options and decent prices. I ordered the broccoli cheese soup. Delicious. Hot, cheesy, and flavorful. Then I had the bbq burger (got the bbq, spicy ranch and onion straws on the side). Bbq was jim beans which I'm not a fan of. Spicy ranch is a different flavor, but good with a kick. Imagine your standard, basic sports bar. This is where you start. All the usual suspects are here; lots of tvs, loud music, lots of tables jammed together, did I mention loud music? They have a stage and have live bands playing a couple nights a week. There's a nice looking patio which would probably be grand in the summertime, it was a little too cold for us on this night. The beer choices are slim but they have some nice options for those of us who don't do the usual suspects. On this night, we had a Dark Horse oatmeal stout which was aces. Although, our waitress wasn't sure who made it, she just knew they had an oatmeal stout... we found out it was Dark Horse's when we got the bill. The food menu is pretty diverse. There's something for everyone here. The boy had a salad and I have the reuben. The reuben was one of the better ones I have had in town, the bread wasn't greasy and had a nice crispness to it. I would like to come back and try their cheese/bacon covered fries because, well, bacon. But, I think that will be on a day when we can sit on the patio and not feel crowded or be assaulted by loud music. read more

By the way, they give you a TON of fries. Some people may like that and I don't mind it if I am with a group, but since I was dining alone it seems like a bit of a waste since I could only eat about a third of them. Ordered a draft beer. The bartender pulled a pint glass with beer in it out of a refrigerator, poured a little out and topped it off with beer out of the tap. Asked him what he was doing and he replied that he poured it 5 minutes ago. Told him I didn't want that and you're not allowed to do that. The most immature group of food staff I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Context: 28 days prior to my incident, I had ordered a bowl of chili before a game of trivia. I did not receive my bowl of chili until question 8 of 10. 20% of my bill would've been $5 so I left a $1 tip because the chili was $4. I left a note on my receipt saying: "Protip: If someone orders something before a game of trivia, get it to them before question 8" 28 days later, the day of the incident. The waiter that I gave the poor tip to decides that it is appropriate to go up to me, after I have already had two beers, and call me out for leaving a bad tip. He was telling me he had a wife and that apparently it was my fault the service was slow because I ordered a drink at the bar and sat at a table. Two things here: 1) What does your wife have to do with any of this? 2) It's not my problem that your operating procedures are so inefficient that it takes 10 to 15 minutes to scoop a bowl of chili and bring it to the table. The story gets better though. I talk to the manager that night and ask him if he knows why I'm talking to him. He says he is aware and we begin our discussion. He thought his waiter did the right thing by calling out a paying customer because he left a poor tip a month prior. I decided to give this place a second chance, and the manager thinks that it is ok to put the customer in an uncomfortable position after serving said customer alcohol. The manager said to me, "Everyone has their own experience here. Sorry that you are having a bad experience." Then did nothing to remedy the situation. The unprofessionalism displayed by all the employees I interacted with left me at a loss for words. If you are that sensitive to a poor tip, you ought to rethink your line of work. If management wants to provide an environment where employees can tell off customers instead of building on feedback and improving, that is also their prerogative. I have no idea why on God's green Earth why I left a tip after this whole ordeal. I must have felt bad for how pathetic the waiter sounded calling out a customer. If I could do it all again, I wouldn't have left a tip. I apologize to all of humanity for rewarding these individuals' poor behavior. You won't be seeing me back here and I won't be sending anyone that I care about here either. I value my time and I'm annoyed that the service here was so poor that I needed to make a Yelp account and leave a review. Other matters: The food here is just ok. Their southwest eggrolls are good but everything else that I've had here is mediocre at best. I've been here more than 10 times for trivia nights and the staff is consistently slow. It takes about 10 minutes to have a staff member acknowledge you and then another 10 minutes for them to get you a beer. read more

Girls night out, 4 weeks ago. Attentive service on the patio, cold beer and wine, hot food and onion rings. 2 weeks later, 3 burgers for takeout, rare but ordered well/no pink. Tonight, 3 ladies, on patio. One appetizer good (artichoke spinach dip), the other, fried pickles. Server dumped 2 ranch dips and a spear on my shoes, and my daughter's. Server said she would replace, but, no. Ordered a philly cheese steak with onion ring upgrade, cheeseburger and a chicken wrap. Everything was barely warm. Our server "forgot" our 2nd round of drinks. She got tips, more than she deserved. She was more interested in her friends, with the service dog in training.
