would like to add to my original review.. went in to speak with mary about updating my bike.. have…read morea top of the line aventon ramblas.. needed something with a throttle etc.. spoke with her about trading my ramblas in, it was showroom clean with only 94 miles on it in the limited edition color.. with a smoke but rudely she responded with-- well we don't take trade ins on bikes that weren't purchased here!! i thought wow ok!! i left and went to norms bike shop up in keene nh and purchased TWO new aventon from him.. no sakes tax and no setup fees which at horizon would have been 300$ for two bikes plus 250$ in sales tax.. norms will be getting my business from now on. very polite, friendly and easy purchase!!!!

The owner Bob got me fixed up and running on the same day for a very reasonable price! He's extremely knowledgeable about bikes and a pleasure to work with. My wife also just got a bike and we wanted to get it checked out before she took it on the road so without hesitation we brought it to Manhan. Once again, he finished the work on the same day and we hit the trail that evening. This will be our go to shop for our bikes!

They looked at my bike and gave it a quick adjustment for the alignment of the tires. I decided to buy a new kickstand that was not expensive and they installed it for free within 5 minutes. I will definitely be back- such friendly people and really helpful :)

I've been a customer for about 3-4 years and bought my two recent bikes from them, a Jamis gravel…read morebike and a Giant mountain bike. Both were previous year leftovers and fairly priced (though neither time did they mention they were the previous year's model); the Giant was ever so slightly used, with upgraded pedals, seat and bar, in like-new condition but $250 cheaper than the current year's model and even better looking. I went for it and no regrets, the Giant looks and has run flawless. Both times an employee had come outside to help me, sized up my needs and directed me towards these two bikes. They scored a bull both times, very happy with the bikes. I've also been in for various things like tires tubes spokes and accessories and can say a few things about their service: One, they're very "covid conscious" and demand mask wearing in the store, well after everyone else has laxxed on masks. Two, they're not unfriendly in any way but I have yet to hear a "Can I help you" as I browse around. They never even seem to acknowledge I'm in the store until I ask them something. I'm personally ok with that but be aware thats how they roll, if you want help, ask for it. They seem very honest and earnest about biking, you can tell this isn't just work for them they love biking Overall they are very knowledgeable and very helpful, if you ask them first. Their prices are competitive and they understand what the customer needs. I would keep buying bikes from them and would definitely recommend giving them a try if your looking for a new or used bike

Downstairs and upstairs is a quiet drop-in space for bike sales, bike accessories, bike publications, bike supplies, and bike repairs. I brought two bicycles here for repair, one that as more of a child's toy instead of a bicycle industry piece, and another. Both needed some minor repair and upkeep, which Laughing Dog did for an affordable price for each bike, and included a safety inspection. Walking into their bicycle shop was half the treat, as they were done with the repairs within only a day. Settled in the back lot alley, with parking and two one-way driveways for in and out, Laughing Dog uses their space with a savvy of years. This is something they provide that a place which only "sells" or repairs bicycles probably can't offer you, and which I believe is common to the bicycle workshops of western MA. I had the impression that I could ask about local bicycling trails, bicycling races, bicycling events, bicycling tournaments, bicycling tracks, bicycling stars, bicycling history, and on and on, and get whatever insight I needed. Their sales floor wasn't jam-packed, and was navigable with the large variety of bikes on their sales floor as well. Bicycles ranged from entry level bicycles to professional, tourney, and off-road bicycles. However, their floor had such a variety, it makes me imagine the variety of customers they've helped over the decades. The variety of bells they have on a handlebar by the register add a cute little touch of bicycling history and options for noisy alarms. I found this place as such a treat to visit, I might as well consider it more than where bike experts meet, I would want to visit it for bicycle history and expertise in the local area.

Took my bike there to get fixed and they replaced the rear derailleur but the same problem…read morehappened, caught in spokes and mangled it. Someone there really doesn't know what he is doing. You're rolling the dice here. When I brought it to the shop in Belchertown, he found that the front spokes were way too tight and the wheel was way out of true, the rear skewer was about 30 years older than the bike, so not the same skewer that was on it when I brought it to Valley, got the gear shifting problem solved with a new Acera derailleur and all the adjustments for less than $70.
