I drove to Florence to meet a friend and drive to Moosehead Lake in ME for some fire roads and off road riding. I had time for a rail trail but didn't check my tire pressure and got pinch flat. Called Full Circle to ask for a tube. Friendly phone answer said he had right size for 1992 Cannondale. When I got there he asked if I had 10 minutes and he popped the wheel off and had me on my way to Maine. Friendly and helpful. Almost since I purchased my bike, it has had several issues. I was at the point where I was considering purchasing a new bike, but decided to see if anything could be done for it. After looking at various websites for bicycle repair shops in the area, I chose Full Circle Bike Shop in Florence. When I brought my bike in, the two young men who spoke with me were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They listened to my bike grievances, and did not make me feel like a fool for trying to fix things on my own. I rode the newly renovated bicycle to work today. It was the smoothest ride I've ever had on that bike in terms of shifting and chain noise. The brakes were perfect and quiet. I have bought multiple bike accessories and have gotten bike work done a few times and they have always given me great customer service without any of the pretense I have gotten from other bike shops. Recently bought something that did not work immediately (the problem was with the manufacturer) and they were great about getting it to work again without me having to deal with the company that supplied the product. Another time my wife's fender was loose and they realigned and tightened it for free/with a smile. read more

I first stopped by for a new seat post, lights and again for a handlebar part, which they cut to size, and did everything possible to do a great job. I left the bike with them a few weeks later for a total tune-up/overhaul, and they again did a fantastic, quick and thorough job at a good price. He will quickly diagnose any repair needed, will only do whatever is required, quote a reasonable price, and stick to that price when the job is done. I've only had some minimal business with this shop on two occasions. I brought a bike there with various issues. I had found the bike abandoned at a grocery store and was hoping to rehabilitate it. The shop owner could have agreed to repair it, but told me the cost of repair would exceed the value of the bike. He pointed out that I could buy the bike online in excellent condition for less than an hour's labor charge. So, I'll give him points for honesty. The second visit was just to find a used bike in my price range. He was helpful, but didn't find a suitable used bike that would meet my needs. read more

Got gifted a pair of S&M perfect 10 bars for my BMX here on 10/20/2014. I was blown away by the positive vibes that the shop carries as many of the niche BMX and skate shops in the state generally have poor attitudes and would rather be paying attention to the video loop they've got playing on the T.V. that everybody has seen a million times. The guy working at the counter was really personable and we talked about spots around the area, what style of riding we do and the general scene. Don't listen to the naysayer reviews on the site, knowing any bike shop there is always an obvious price gap between shop and online retailer. Half the time the large distributors don't have the item stock and when they do it takes weeks longer to reach you, scratched or is completely different measurements than what they had listed! Going to a shop with knowledgeable associates and being able to see the item first-hand is the upside to this and you are also helping out the local bike community. Buying a bike (BMX/Road/Cruiser/MTB or anything you want) should be like buying a car. Go ahead and buy that piece of junk Eastern complete from another shop with spotty detail, and watch it fall apart within a year. read more

We bring our bikes here for tune ups and everything else they need. Sometimes, we just go in to window shop. No matter why we're there, the owner is great. He is knowledgeable and friendly. I wish my kids were into BMX as it seems like he creates a great atmosphere for that, too. read more

I would like to be able to give this shop a good review, they are the closest bike shop to us and I like to buy local. I also have more bikes than just the e-bike, but will now take them elsewhere. I called them recently to ask if they can take my e-bike which has a flat. I know not all shops are equipped to work on e-bikes, this is why I called ahead! Over the phone they said they could fix the flat and to come in. I can understand someone not hearing me completely on the phone, but they were so rude to me when I got there that I can't go back. My bike is too big for any bike rack, so I had to pump the tire up every mile or so to ride it in. I got there, after getting caught in a downpour, and the shop owner was very rude to me. Bro bike culture is alive and well apparently. He said "we don't do e-bikes" with an emphasis on the word e-bikes that was clearly mocking me. I asked if he knew of another shop nearby that works on e-bikes and he sighed loudly and said that he did not know and I should look it up myself, then he moved very physically close to me without a mask on and made it very clear through his body language that I was not welcome in his shop anymore. I asked again if he knew of a shop I could go to, and he did say Northampton Bicycles might do that while still showing me the door. It was raining heavily and I had to try to find the number for Northampton Bicycles on my phone in the pouring rain. I ended up giving up because my phone was getting too wet. Seriously, a simple "oops, sorry about that" would have been enough, and it also would not have hurt if I was welcome to at least google another shop from inside the store while it was raining. read more

My partner took her (much loved) vintage bmx cruiser to Jason and it was returned to its former glory after many years in storage, so I decided to bring my decades old 3 speed over to see if he could duplicate the same magic. One year later both bikes are still on the road and we would ONLY bring them to Full Circle for maintenance. Don't be dissuaded by the bmx kids riding around the shop, this place sells fancy road bikes, commuters, and some affordable vintage gems. No "cyclist" attitude here, just a local gear head who loves bikes who will get you on the road without breaking the bank. read more

Beware of "bait-and-switch" at this place. We weren't looking to spend much on a my toddler's bent wheel, so when my wife was first quoted 30 to 40 dollars for a new wheel because he had to order it, she said "No, we can't afford that right now." Jason, the owner, found one in the shop and said he was able to "do it" for $15. When my wife returned two days later, he said that there was going to be some extra labor costs because of a problem with fitting the wheel on. She had no problem with that, assuming it would be $5, maybe $10, but he went on to inform her that it was $20! So the $35 that she had initially stated she was unable to afford was now the balance due. My wife was shocked and asked why he didn't call and he said he didn't have her number. She felt that was his responsibility to ask for, but didn't want to have a problem, felt cornered as the repair job was already done, and was with our kids, so she just paid and left. As she drove away, she didn't feel right about it and was upset. Why hadn't he just stopped the work until he received an ok from her? She talked to me and we decided to go in, return the wheel, and get our money back. We went in the next day to a very hostile owner, who first said no, then yes to the $35 return if we give him the wheel, BUT that I'd have to drive home to get my OWN tools to take off the tire (sigh) which I did. When I returned, he then said he'd give back $15 if I give him the wheel AND the tire, but he's not giving back the remaining $20. Not a man of his word. So, I stayed calm and said, "Let's be done with this and meet half way." He not only refused to meet us half way and just give $10 of the $20 for labor back to us (which I thought was very generous on our part), but got other customers involved by putting our concerns down in front of us, and laughed when I mentioned calling the Better Business Bureau or Yelping. I left keeping the wheel while he and a young employee railed insults toward the door. Beautiful day. I don't like talking badly about any business, or anyone for that matter, and haven't gone out of my way to review on Yelp before, but Jason (who I'm sure is a nice guy and was hopefully just having a bad day) made a mistake, purposely or not, and didn't correct it. The owner just moved his shop from a place on a main route where his operation was very conspicuous to a place which is nearly impossible to find. It must be because he is renting the new work space for next to nothing and needs to because he can't build a customer base. He probably does good work but his attitude and customer service demeanor is about as bad as you can get. For a guy whose business looks like it is essentially bankrupt he seems to suggest that your business means nothing to him. And he is consistent in his attitude. If you don't spend a lot of money in his shop he won't even acknowledge you when you walk through the door the next time. Again, if you are desperate for a tire repair and are 100 yards away from his shop on the bike path then why not go in but short of this I suggest that you stay away. read more
