The worst customer service. Emailed weeks ago. Nobody answers. Don't recommend going here.

Such a cute location. It makes Starbs look dark and uninviting. Came here during a nice day and got to sit out on the patio with a cold drink. Though the road is close, it's not too bothersome and you can really sit out here and relax. I even took a video conference call, which speaks to the speed of their wifi and how quiet it was. The coffee itself is great and comparable to smaller, non-chain coffee locations. I would put it ahead of the Starbs, for sure. It might not be as inviting in the winter, but for now when that big garage door is open, it's a great place to hang out and grab some caffeine. Note: there are some small food items available. It's worth a visit just to check out the beautiful space they created. The building was an old auto shop. They refurbished the garage doors into glass doors and renovated the interior and exterior but kept the charm of the old building. It's a small but welcoming environment. There is not a lot of seating but they did set up picnic tables in the back yard next to the parking lot. The best part is that the coffee is great, better than Starbucks and their pre-made breakfast sandwiches are far superior to Starbucks but not as good as a diner or deli but you don't have to wait long for a coffee and sandwich. They also have soups and sandwiches for lunch that look good. The staff is friendly and helpful explaining the different types of coffees and sandwiches they serve. They also keep the shop immaculate, inside and out. Great addition to Riverhead. read more

Stopped by here for a caffeine boost en route to Greenport. Ordered a cappuccino. It might've been one of the most poorly executed espresso drinks I've ever had. The espresso was clearly tamped too hard and over-extracted. The end result was that there was barely any espresso, yet it was unpleasantly bitter and acidic--all flavor was burnt off. The milk was just as bad, as it was all airy foam with huge bubbles, not micro foam, and barely any steamed milk. The cup was super light for the size. The barista clearly needed a lot more training. I traded in the cappuccino for a regular drip coffee. It wasn't much better as it tasted also burnt and bitter, but at least I could load up enough milk to soften the taste. The only positive experience is that the employee checking us out was nice and tried to make up for it by offering to have our drinks remade. We just didn't trust the skills of the barista to drastically improve with another drink. But we appreciated the offer. Also the space is nice, good for conversations, wheelchair friendly, lots of natural light. read more

This is a great spot to always grab morning coffee, tea, or matcha along with some tasty food to go. The staff are friendly and the beverages delicious. I personally love the ginger peach iced tea, it's refreshing long after the first few sips! Ok to bring your own cup?: YUP read more

Found this spot on the way to the ferry and it was exactly what I was looking for. Two large coffees with a pump of caramel and almond milk satisfied my mom and I on are road trip back home. When I worked nearby, this spot was good for grabbing the hummus and veggie cup or the quinoa/mixed greens salad. If I go there, I stick to an iced mocha because I've found their chai sweeter than I like a chai and I'm just not a big fan of their different roasts. That being said, the service is amazing. They really have found a lovely staff who makes a nice mocha in no time at all. It's a cute little spot with a pretty wide menu. Higher prices, but whatever, it's the North Fork. In the Hamptons to work and got here so early, 6:30 am on a Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised to find an independent coffee shop open at that hour and had to stop in! I loved that they had dairy free options to add after purchasing the coffee (usually you only find half and half or milk, and places tend to up charge for oat). Coffee was smooth and delicious. I fly all over the world with my job and have had coffee all over and can say this was the worst coffee I have had. I stopped in their new location and ordered a dark roast regular coffee and I added milk. I didn't take a sip till was in the car driving. The coffee tasted burnt and smelled horrible. I saw the display case and saw the dried out sandwiches and nothing looked appetizing. The store itself is nice and the staff was friendly though. I talked to a friend and others they say had same experience with the coffee. I decided to write the review the. I received a reply from the full of himself Owner Jason. Having been a Johnson and wales culinary graduate and been in the business many years I know yelp is a biased business review company which companies can pay to have bad reviews disappear. Instead of taking the criticism like a gentleman and moving on you defend with so called accolades with such hostility. I know what I saw in your food case and it looked like day old items putting it nicely, and the coffee was not good. I know what dark roast coffee is and have a well versed pallet having travel transoceanic weekly. Those who leave a response To a customer that's a mile long shows more insecurity. It's so nice to have a place to pop in and relax with great tasting coffee. Their decaf is Swiss washed and that is important to me. I'm a Italophil so sitting in a cafe is what I like to do. They do have muffins, scones, and sandwiches. They serve soup in the winter. I haven't tried these items, not into the sweets they serve. Wish they had Aldo's biscotti. I went back this afternoon for coffee and an Aldo's biscotti. A beautiful Monday afternoon on the patio. Friendly people at the next table as we talked for quite a bit. We agreed the place is a welcome respite. Suggestion. It gets a lot of road noise on the front patio. Why not set up small tables with umbrellas in the rear. The Picnic tables are for more than two couples. So if a couple want to converse they can hear each other over the din of heavy traffic especially on weekends and not take over more space than they need. read more

Impeccable coffee not even Starbucks compares the prices are up there but what do you expect when Hampton is in the name. Pass by this place every day decided to give it a shot this morning I had an iced mocha coffee with a double chocolate chip muffin the coffee was excellent made perfectly Nice and sweet with lots of coffee flavor not too much ice filled to the top. The chocolate muffin I had was delicious nice and moist not too sweet though. Nice Decour inside clean bathrooms and friendly service. read more

The staff was so busy talking amongst each other that they had completely disregarded the long line of customers waiting to be served. No one even acknowledged the fact that people were patiently (some impatiently) waiting. The girl working the counter looked super annoyed to be there which made the overall energy awful. We are new to the area and took a drive this past Wednesday and found this gem. The coffee was fresh and delicious. We shared a blueberry muffin, more than enough for two people and filled with blueberries. We asked the Store Manager (Anthony) for suggestions and he couldn't have been more helpful and polite. This Hampton Coffee location is great. The staff are very friendly and well trained. Their coffee tastes amazing compared to other coffee shops in the area. Though going to this location during the summer is less pleasurable as there is no air conditioning, and having a hot drink while it is 85° inside is quite difficult. read more

Not many coffee shops brew flavored coffee typically it's a syrup. Hampton has incredible hazelnut coffee which you can buy and make at home, but I prefer to enjoy my coffee there when I'm working remotely. Also their flavor of the month is pumpkin pie and it's amazing. The staff is great and the place is spotless and the soup is always delicious. I always want to try the bakes goods they look amazing but carbs... :) read more

I always love to go to small coffee shops rather than Starbucks. However, the espresso was strong, and so bitter it was not enjoyed. Always a rookie move, but maybe with some practice and coffee lovers intent it will get better. Aldo in Greenport is a much better bet. Maybe the staff here should pay a visit to a small coffee house with deep Italian roots like Aldos to see how espresso should taste. Good luck read more

Great cup of coffee , love the monthly special roasts. Definitely recommend for a refreshing change from The bigger coffee chains . I prefer standard coffee but I've had some of the cold drinks and the lattes and they've been pleasantly surprising , not overwhelmingly sweet as too many are! read more

This coffee company gets 5 stars for 2 reasons, which in my opinion are the 2 most important reasons to give any service business 5 stars: 1) the baristas were friendly and knowledgeable and 2) the coffee and espresso was excellent and well made. A few other positives were: price was excellent and decor was great. I highly recommend especially for a small business. Beats that bigger shop with a mermaid any day. read more

I'm such a big coffee drinker and I always look forward to coming here when I'm on the North Fork. The parking is small and it's quick off the road so if you're not paying attention you'll miss it but always love getting my coffee here. read more

It's a shame that every time we step into this location, we feel rushed by the staff who seem annoyed and bored. As a result, my order is wrong each time because the staff does not actually listen. If a customer pops in on a weekend, there should not be such rush to move them along the line just to help the next customer. And certainly, basic professionalism and interpersonal skills are a must have. read more

We were in the area for a wedding and stopped here. The coffee was great and my wife said the bagel was possibly the best she ever had.

A wonderful coffee shop in a great location (literally less than a mile from my front door!). The coffee is delicious and the teas are delightful. The breakfast sandwich was decent but not spectacular (the price was a little high in my opinion for what you got). The baked goods were very nice. The music in the "background" was a bit louder than I would have preferred, but overall it was a lovely place. I am looking forward to trying it in the Spring when there is outside seating and see what a little more experience brings. read more
