Very nice doctors and technicians. Updates and new equipment making the appointments very easy. The problem is when you need glasses. I've had the same insurance for years and never had an issue until I let these people get involved. Now when I get a prescription it somehow doesn't line up with when I'm able to get new glasses. I ended up having to go months longer with an old prescription and just shrugged shoulders from the person in charge of ordering glasses. I had to switch doctors and wait an extra 6 months just to be able to get back on schedule with a different, not as good doctor- but at least I can see. The doctors and most of the staff are awesome. There is one woman who works at the checkout desk who is, in my opinion rude and condescending. I've been going there for quite a few years. My very first encounter with her I figured she was having a bad day, but every time I go (once a year) she has the same rude condescending behavior. read more

My family and I were lucky enough to find Hampton Eyecare almost 20 years ago and we have never been more pleased with the services they provide. It all started with my young kids, but now, approaching 60, I am really still happy with the personal care they give. I work with my hands and do have occasional issues w debris in my eyes. They have always found time to fit me in. When you're in pain and the option is the Emergency Rm, it's nice to know you have an Eye Doc who cares enough to fit you into their busy schedule. I have seen all Four Dr's now, at different points, call me accident prone, but they have all have been great! If you're in the Greater Greater Hampton area, I can't recommend this practice enough. read more

Amazing office with fun pictures (referencing to eyesight) everywhere you look. The waiting rooms and exam rooms are comfortable and welcoming. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very responsive to messages, the doctors are great! Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

The doctors here seem good, but the people (or a least one person in particular) who answers the phones and "greets" (ignores) people is extremely rude. I see this echoed in reviews elsewhere so not sure why they don't fix the problem. Otherwise, the practice seems very good. They don't try to sell you things you don't need. read more

Dr. Hartenstein is the best eye doctor in NH!! I had the pleasure of having my eyes examined by her last week. The 3D picture is absolutely the way to go no matter if it's covered by your insurance or you have to pay the small fee it is well worth it. Although Hampton Eyecare Associates was extremely busy the day of my appointment, the entire staff from the wonderful ladies at the front desk to the gentleman who took my medical information and on to the doctor made me feel as though I was the only person that mattered during my appointment. Dr. Hartenstein took more then enough time to explain every part of my eye exam to me, and I felt as though she genuinely cared almost as if I was a personal family member of hers. I honestly have no association with this office and this was truly my first visit but I believe in a good review when there's something good to be said and this office is definitely worth an A+ review!! The office consistently stays up to date on equipment to help keep you healthy and it is clear that the doctors are professionals who not only take their jobs seriously but stay up to date on the latest practices to make sure you receive the best care possible. read more

They were awesome. They book appointments way out but if you get on their waiting list, it's usually a bit quicker. They staff was very professional all around and make sure you get a through eye exam and really take the time to make sure it's done right. I have recommended them to everyone I know. read more

Hampton Eyecare gets five stars for me. Excellent bedside manor, love the new updated 3D technology, they do a wonderful job of explaining the ins and outs, their staff has been with them for years so they are well informed, keep in mind they are a very busy office so if you need an appointment call sooner than later for an appointment but well worth it!!! read more
