I normally do not post about lousy businesses but beware of VISIONWORKS OPTICAL in Seabrook NH and their mgr Sean...they tried to make me pay for an unasked for contact fitting (lenses weren't there yet!) and when I talked to United Health on this i got my money back but they (United Health) said they were super uncooperative in the process of this and just now my 1 800 contacts said the same thing (Optometrist Namira Samji , who gave a terrible prescription to me, wouldn't verify - ps this mgr Sean yelled at me on the phone - he insisted they have "great" yelp reviews and hung up. A Must to avoid. Walmart Optical is just down the street. read more

I gave Visionworst a second chance. My bad. They screwed up my vision test again. I ordered glasses and contacts and had to return them. The blonde who works there, an older woman, what a mean, condescending person. Customer service is the WORST and I will make sure that everyone I know knows how bad VisionWorst can be. On their window it says they take walk ins and something along the lines of accepts all insurances. I walked in and they said they were booked and tried making me an appointment. Then they asked if I would be using insurance and what kind. I told them and they said they don't take it. They should at least take the walk ins welcome sign down if they don't really take walk ins. The front office folks said they'd order my trial contacts and they'd take a week to arrive. Turns out they never ordered them. Worse, I came to find out the office has a set of every contact lens in the back and could have just given one to me to try and ordered another one for the office. They just never bothered. I took my prescription and will order contacts at a different visionworks. I hope the company follows up on this, apparently it's been a longtime issue. I feel sorry for the doctors who have to work here. Visionworks corporate, are you even paying attention? read more

Waited over 20 minutes after my appointment to be seen, Doctor was GREAT, ladies out front don't know what they are doing . Charged my card $870 for a $264 appointment and then couldn't figure out how to fix it or refund it so now I'm waiting 24 hours to see if the money goes back into my account ? Your automated phone system named Amelia is hands down the most useless POS system. You cannot reach an actual human being via vision works in SEABROOK's phone number. I spent a half hour and multiple phone calls just simply trying to see if my order was ready. Your automated phone system is such an absolute piece of crap. I lost a nosepiece on a frame I bought from Visionworks earlier this year. I called in advance to make sure the part was available, and the automated message said nosepieces could be replaced as a walk-in. I walked in. The person looked at my Ray-Ban frames and said she could not replace the nosepiece. I asked if she could order the part, and she said, "I could try." I then said I couldn't imagine why they sold me frames they couldn't service. (Take notice, Ray-Ban.) Without a word, the person then retrieved a new identical frame from the display and repaired my glasses. She then handed them to me, making no eye contact, not offering to adjust them. I left with the confused sense my request for service was an imposition on the person. read more

Took my daughter for exam and new contacts. Took them over an hour to figure out insurance. We were told they would call us once they figured it out. No phone call ever came! They prescribed her wrong contacts. Had to go back for a 2nd exam and then prescribed correct lenses. However, mailed wrong prescription lenses. Call to store,was put on hold for 20 minutes, hung up and called them again. I was told someone would call me back. No return phone call. Awful service all around!!!!! If I could I'd leave a zero star review... Vision works in Seabrook NH is horrible. First time with contracts that I've been looking forward to for months, and months. I called to get them finalized back in April, she said she'd get the doctor to submit the finalization and get the contracts ordered.. However didn't hear anything, so I went there because my glasses needed to be fixed as the screw came out on June 10th, and then I also said I needed to get my contracts finalized and ordered.. it is NOW July 13th 2023 and I've heard nothing!!!! I've called almost everyday and get told that the manager isn't available. I've even called to get the prescription and they put me on hold and never pick back up. read more

I was PERSONALLY helped by Simone. She was very professional and she was EXTREMELY helpful. She took as much time as I needed, helping me picking out the glasses that fit and looked best. Are you looking for poor customer service? Are you looking to be ignored when you are the only customer to walk into a store? Well look no further than Visionworks of Seabrook!! The office manager just stared at me until another employee came to help, and then gave nothing but attitude when I went in with a simple request (free trial of contacts). Got my trial, only to also be greeted with that "I love my job (sarcasm)" mentality and complaining of how busy it was getting. Got home to realize they ordered me the wrong contacts. i have had nothing but incredible service going to this Visionworks. Last year they helped my boyfriend with his glasses and they were so knowledgeable and attentive that I knew I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my new glasses. i just recently got my new glasses and they helped me more than I could have even asked for. They were timely, helpful beyond compare, and most of all they are fun and care about each individual. I haven't seen the actual optometrist there as of yet, but the women in the front are such a pleasure that I can't even put it into words. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who is looking for individualized and knowledgeable service. Not to mention the amazing variety of glasses! Thanks so much for all your care! read more

Last year when I went to Vision Works, I was more than pleased with the service. I would of given it 15 out of 10 stars. I am not sure what happened, but there are all new employees and the level of service has sunk to no customer service at all. If you want to be rushed through the eye exam and totally ignored when you are trying on frames, then Vision Works is the place for you. If you want to actually be acknowledged, and helped, then you may want to find someplace else to go. read more

Had appointments made for my kids. Their auto system calls the house and leaves a message and says to confirm your appointment press 1, well you can't press 1 on a voice mail, so there system cancels your appointments. of course you have no idea until you show up and they tell you "you cancelled". I gave 2 stars because they are nice people but they need to rethink there way of confirming appointments read more

Chris is amazing! My sister and I are both notoriously indecisive and we were both shopping for a new pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses. We set out one Saturday morning expecting to be out all day and trudging from store to store, unable to find two pairs of flattering glasses each, but by some twist of fate we decided to stop at Visionworks first as it was the closest location to home. We were greeted by friendly staff immediately upon entry, and Chris offered to help us shop but without being at all pushy. We quickly became overwhelmed by the 100s of glasses lining the walls and took him up on his offer. He knew immediately which colors, frames and shapes would complement our face shape, hair color and complexion. In no time at all, he had chosen a pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses for each of us that were perfect and they were frames we would not have necessarily picked for ourselves but we couldn't top his choices. Within 15 minutes, we were checking out and purchasing our new glasses. The eyeglasses were ready within an hour and a half-we expecting to have to wait at least a week-but we walked out with them that day! Our sunglasses were also ready quickly, within 7-10 business days as promised. They also had great BOGO deals and are conveniently located where we can easily stop in to have the glasses refitted or cleaned when needed. Chris Bono at the Seabrook, NH location was an absolute joy to work with. My sister and I both came to browse, assuming we were in for a full day of searching for the perfect frames. Chris let us know he was available if we wanted help, but was not pushy at all. After perusing the shelves I realized I wanted some professional insight and Chris knew exactly the frames to fit my face shape, coloring, style etc. The very first frames he pulled were the ones I purchased! Then we were shocked to learn our frames would be ready for pick-up within an HOUR. My sister and I purchased both regular and Rx sunglasses (ready in 7-10 bus. days) and love them both. The overall experience we had at Visionworks with Chris was so wonderful, I have been raving about it ever since. It was quick, professional, price-comparable, and fun! Especially considering how long we thought the whole process would take, I am just thrilled to be enjoying my new glasses after a hassle-free shopping experience. Good customer service is so hard to come by these days, so to find people that go above and beyond for their customers is truly a revelation. read more
