We are impressed with the front desk crew last night's check in. Name Cheru and the other employee (night shift). We were not happy w our room so we called front desk if she can move us to diff room. The check-in process was easy. Upon arriving in my room, I noticed the toilet seat was not on the toilet properly. As I sat down to use the toilet I had to hold on to the sink as it kept moving. The shower had dirty hand prints in it. Not sure if it was cleaned or not. My wash clothe had hair on both sides of it. There were kids running over my head, adults were having conversations in the hallway. The remote control was filthy. Thank God I had disinfectant wipes. There was food, dirt and grime on it. I was surprised given the age of the remote. All the other remotes in Hampton Inn are small this remote was long and old, reminding me of a television remote I had 10 years ago. There was no shower cap in the bathroom. I travel for work and I stay at Hampton Inn often, this has to be among one of the worst I've ever stayed. Very disappointing! read more

Average hotel but definitely the Homewood Suites next door is a far superior Hilton. Breakfast here is below average. Gym is far below average. Parking lot is poorly lit. Came here in July & September of 2022. Both times one of the two treadmills was broken. They didn't even have a sign that it was broken. Couldn't get it fixed in the 2 months? read more

Second time staying here as I am caring for an ill cousin of mine when my family needed me. Last minute, I booked this hotel & the room smelled like ammonia or cat pee. The Indian employee was super nice & immediately changed my room. Next time staying was a bit odd. My room window was opened & a fly was buzzing, the lights were on as well. No plastic in the ice bucket, and trash was still in the trash bin. It smelled like a wet dog. Also the toilet ran all night... I had to shut the bathroom door. I always give businesses a second chance before reviewing, but after this stay I am never staying here again. Also, the smell is not so great overall, especially the sorry space of an exercise room.. they over-spray to cover smells, which makes it worse!! The star would have to be for the two Indian employee who are very hospitable. Not like I could leave zero, but they were nice. The others, not so much. Hopefully, I will not have to come back to Akron again. But if so, I will not ever stay here again. read more

This is about as nice a hotel/motel as you can find. Clean, quiet - even though it was sold out, in great shape from the carpets to the rooms, I would definitely stay here again. This time we only stayed for one night, but would have no issue staying longer. Breakfast is average and it was slow and that's why it won't get 5 stars, but that's to be expected nowadays. We did a weekend girls trip. June 27-30, 2025. This hotel was on our last day. It was the best hotel of our weekend. It was very clean. Staff was pleasant. Pool was nice. Room was spacious. We all tried to figure out how to take the mattresses home - they were so comfy!!! LOL Good hot breakfast. Make your own waffles. There was so much to do near the hotel, restaurants and shops. I have family in the Akron area, I will be staying here again. read more

Upon check-in I was asked to pay a $100 deposit for incidentals, and I said I didn't realize they had a restaurant. I was told there wasn't one on property. I then asked what the incidentals could be and was told I might want a snack. I asked that they needed $100 for SNACKS and was told it was also in case there was damage to the room. So, EVERYONE is suspect of being a room vandal, EVEN DIAMOND MEMBERS??? That is completely ridiculous and totally unacceptable. read more

Stayed one night at this hotel. There were 4 of us ladies. Two of which were in wheelchairs. My friend and I took her mother and a friend up to Fairlawn for an overnight stay so they could get out of the house. We ended up at the Hampton since they are on Maps as being a 5-star hotel. It definitely WAS NOT a 5-star hotel. There was a hole in the bathroom door. The room smelled musty. The blind on the window was torn and broken. The room was very small, also. Along with that, they had a pool which we liked about the hotel, but it was unkept and not heated. The exercise room was not open when it should have been, according to the hours posted on the room's door. The ice machine was broken, which was very inconvenient. The walls are very thin at this hotel, and we heard EVERYTHING that was going on outside of the room. We got through the night and went to breakfast at the hotel's continental breakfast area. It was really BAD!!!!! The only thing truly good was the waffles that you make yourself. They ran out of several items, and we had to go the front desk since the person that was supposed to be taking care of the breakfast area was nowhere to be found. Also, they served rock hard brown sugar that was for the soupy oatmeal. When we asked for other brown sugar, they had none and proceeded to smash up the rock-hard brown sugar in the back room (we heard the pounding), then brought the sugar back out to the breakfast area. Finally, we checked out, and there was a asphalt being poured on the main entrance/exit. We had to go around the building and out through another hotels parking area. The 5-star rating on Maps Should NOT be there. read more

Before 2023 this place used to be AMAZING!!! I have stayed 2 times now over the last 3 months and IT HAS FALLEN DOWN HILL!!! APPARENTLY, they have new owners and let's just say, it's the BLIND LEADING THE BLIND!!! THEY SEEM VERY RUDE & DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTIME YOU SAY ANYTHING. Last time I saw 2 handfuls of HAIR in the trash can. I saw a bar of soap in the shower. When I went to complain the front desk person just said OH WELL THAT IS ALL THE ROOMS WE HAVE for THE NIGHT. They no longer give 2 free bottles of water, but they give you these CHEAP NASTY bag of chips. The evening clerks are just not good at customer service. I feel really sorry for the front desk clerk who assisted us. She is trying really hard but the rest of the facility isn't meeting her level of work. When we checked in, with reservations, we were sent to a room that wasn't ready for guests. The door was propped open, the pillows were on the luggage rack etc. The clerk came to check it out and said we could wait, or change rooms. After driving for 12 hours there was no choice. We chose to change rooms and when we got to the next one, there was a pile of dirty cleaning rags on the floor. We kicked them out to the hallway and alerted the clerk. I think they were out there for several hours (at least until after dinner). The holder for the blow dryer was ripped out if the wall and the screw hold etc. were still visible. The room smelled musty because the AC was off when we arrived but it got better when we started the unit. Breakfast was good. I was impressed at how quiet the room was being so close to the highway. The staff was friendly and the initial clerk really tried to make things right, but leadership needs to invest in some upgrades and support for housekeeping. You've got lots of choices in the area. I hope this will improve so it can become a top choice. read more

I hate to give a bad review especially where we are with this economy. But, I hope the hotel takes this as constructive. We checked into room 321, as we moved about the room we noticed hair on the bathroom floor and some stains. The desk sent someone up to clean the floor. He apologized and explained it must have been the temporary help. Afterwards we noticed the bathtub was not cleaned either and then the rug in the room was never vacuumed. But hard to blame the temporary help when the hall carpeting was also filthy. Looks like it's been awhile since the third floor was vacuumed! The toiletries and the coffee supplies had been overlooked and not refilled. It's a shame, we always stay at Hampton Inns and are Hilton Honors members. read more

This Hampton Inn was very clean, quiet and accommodating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a good breakfast with plenty of food and endless coffee. The contact you daily to make sure you are having good experience and make sure you have everything you need. I would highly recommend this hotel for a nice affordable stay. read more

We stayed here recently and despite some of the negative reviews, our stay was actually excellent. Front desk staff was attentive and courteous. Breakfast service had plenty of food and the person in charge there was nice. Both rooms we reserved were clean and bathrooms were fresh. I would definitely stay here again--was not sure about this place after reading some reviews, but maybe things have improved. Another thing I really liked about this place was the location. *UPDATE* Changing my review from 3 stars to 1. This hotel charged me twice for my stay. I kept trying to reach out to the hotel to speak with the manager only to be told each time that she was too busy. Since I booked through Expedia I decided to contact them, and they contacted the hotel and they had a response to me within an hour. Very funny that she was available to take a call from Expedia but not a paying customer. I was told she would call me back and she NEVER DID. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB on this location and manager. Do not stay here unless you don't mind not being taken seriously when issues arise. Overall this place is okay. The room was a good size and bathroom was perfect with a long vanity. We had a King Bed with a sofa. Everything furniture wise seemed updated and new. I will say that the room had an interesting smell. It wasn't a bad smell, but it was a little musty. Only noticed it when you walked in from hallway then it wasn't noticeable. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and we slept so well. I could hear pretty much everything though. The walls were thin which was a little distracting. I swear we could hear noise from the pool and we were even on the second floor. Not sure who or what was above us, but I heard constant walking back and forth and squeaking of the floor. Even when I woke up in the night to use the restroom I heard the steps. The AC could have been quieter - it honestly sounded like a vacuum cleaner lol. Not as loud - but loud enough. The channel selection was good - included HBO. Overall the stay wasn't bad. A few things stood out as annoying but it wasn't a deal breaker. we didn't try the breakfast, it was a little underwhelming. The only meat they had was turkey sausage links which is odd. We opted to skip and go to cracker barrel! The staff was very nice and welcoming! Not a bad stay but definitely not the best we have experienced. read more

This is your typical Hampton facility, except for one thing - there is no onsite workout facility. They DO have an agreement with a nearby gym, which is actually quite good (and it is free with a pass provided by the front desk), but it is not onsite. A minor inconvenience. There IS a pool and hot tub onsite, and these are adequate. When I first started coming to the hotel on business several months ago, these were not filled, but that has been corrected. As for the front desk (and other staff), they are VERY service-oriented and friendly. Very much a 'can-do' attitude, which I've found as the standard at most Hampton/Hilton properties. The rooms are always clean, beds comfortable, etc. If there is something small needed for the room (a remote without battery power, etc), they are quick to resolve the issue. There is a Marriott Courtyard right next to this Hampton, where some of my colleagues stay, which is moderately nice (probably average to slightly below average for Courtyards, although it DOES have a workout room, which Hampton guests cannot use, even though the same person apparently owns both properties). I, however, am a 'Hilton guy', and enjoy my Hilton HHonors points (and therefore, the free stays used for vacation every year... this year, Italy again??) Overall, a very nice facility with the one 'blip' being the off-site workout facilities. read more

Good--convenient, location. Sizable, comfortable room. Not so good--chaos in hallway kept us up for much of Saturday night. Not sure what kind of clientele this place was serving, but they were rude, obnoxious, and probably drunk or high on something. Chemical/disinfectant smells in hallways. Thin walls. Traffic, including that from a visiting biker get-together, sometimes audible. Check-in process was quite slow, in spite of a lack of line. We were not asked how our stay was. Mixed--breakfast. Not bad, but impossible to sit in dining area Sunday morning due to the crowd. read more

This hotel is old, run down and dirty! I will probably never stay at a Hampton hotel again

Stayed a few nights early April 2021. 3 stars due to staff, 1 star for the property in general. I was a former Diamond Member, and stayed at a few Hamptons in the day (5 years ago) and know how Hampton properties should be like. This property is essentially run down and do note, there are no external security cameras. There was a very obnoxious party despite a so called no party policy, that went on between 7AM and around midnight. I called to complain around 11:30 PM and was told others have complained as well. If so, then why was nothing done? I think the area is not the best to stay at as the adjoining competitor property has 3 police vehicles the night before and the other adjoining party seems to have a lot of vehicular traffic and trucks parked with a lot of people walking around. (you can only imagine). I would not suggest hotel on Springside north of Market Street for certain. read more

I stayed here for business, I checked in at 4:45 and needed to use the WiFi to send a file to a customer. First, no snacks at front desk for diamond members. In the 15 minutes I had to send the file to my customer before closing time I was unable to connect to the WiFi. The front desk told me this is not uncommon and to keep trying. Eventually I went to the front desk for assistance. No one there, I looked outside to see if it was smoke break time, no one there, I went to the kitchen, door was open but no one there, I went back to the front desk again and was louder than before. The lady came out of the office as she was finishing her texting on her phone. She tried for almost 20 minutes before successfully connecting to the WiFi Usually Hampton Inn is more than willing to give a bottle of water when checking in, I was told there is water in the room..... it is $5! Never seen this in a Hampton. Breakfast due to COVID was very minimal, no breakfast bags to go and again no water. The room was not filthy nor was it spotless. I stayed here on a business trip a couple of weeks ago. I'm sad to say this hotel wasn't my first choice. The hotel I wanted was booked up so the Hampton Inn was my last resort. But boy am I glad the other hotel was booked and there was room at this Inn. I was in a rush to catch my flight back home and I left my shoes in the hotel room and I didn't notice until I was about to air my flight. I called the front desk and explained my situation and when I arrived back to my office on Monday my shoes were FedEx to me. On future business trips I will consider the Hampton Inn. read more

Stayed here December 2013. Room is clean, TV works. Some dings and dents in the walls and doors but still clean. I've been here several times and, without exception, have been treated with respect, competence and smiles - even arriving late at night. Has a decent indoor pool and hot tub area. Breakfast provides many choices. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby 24/7. And it's right in the middle of any shopping/services needs one could imagine. read more

The staff at this Hampton truly went above and beyond at my last visit. I inquired at breakfast about smoothies that they had at a Hampton I had stayed at a few days before. They had never stocked smoothies at this location but were interested in my description of them. When I returned to my room that evening they had put a mini fridge stocked with 4 smoothies in the corner. The staff had always been very friendly and courteous but this was truly a step beyond in customer service. read more

Very clean rooms and accommodating room and hotel. Ive only stayed one night down out of three so far. However, I have to stop immediately and compliment, Ms. Belinda who runs the complimentary breakfast in the morning. She has such a warm, friendly, sweet character and attitude(especially for a guy that doesn't take early mornings well). Let's not forget humorous.
