This place was great. The front desk was helpful as I needed to check in early for a wedding I was attending. They accommodated me and I really appreciated it. The room was clean and bed comfy. I didn't eat the free breakfast so I can't say anything about that. All in all a good experience !

The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the staff are all very welcoming and nice. Breakfast is free and a lot of great options. Spacious parking lot with ample spaces. The hotel has a pool but we've never used it. Looks clean, though! The air conditioning in the room is perfect! The fitness room is really nice! Two treadmills, one elliptical and a bike. Nice selections of mats, weights, and exercise balls. Water refill station. The AC was wonderful in there! (I always run hot!) We have no complaints about our stays here. Highly recommend!

As a pet friendly hotel, I appreciated the pet area. I did NOT appreciate the maintenance workers that made it a point to showcase their fear of my pit bull/boxer mix. If you're afraid of dogs, please don't work in a hotel that allows pets. Breakfast is not worth it. It's all grab and go stuff. NO chairs by the pool, so even if we wanted to go swimming, there'd be nowhere for us to relax afterwards. We did hang out in the hot tub for a bit, but had to bring the towels from our room since none were available at the pool.

There is also water, cold brew coffee, hot coffee, and tea available all day. There is breakfast that varies each day with a couple of hot items, always a pancake maker, and cereal/oatmeal. The actual hotel room is very minimalist. Hard floors throughout, open shelves and a bar to hang your clothes. There is a small dorm size fridge, but no microwave. Shower is a walk in and no tub. Complimentary shampoo, soap, and conditioner are large squeeze tubes mounted to the wall. My room was mostly clean but did have some obvious wear even though it's not that old. Overall, it was quiet and I slept great. Negatives - workout room has two treadmills and an exercise bike and a variety of balls and weight benches. But no weights! There were three medicine balls, three different sized kettle bells, and a two pound dumbbell. If you are looking for more than just cardio options, stay somewhere else. There are no nice restaurants within walking distance of this hotel (when it is 110 out) as of when I stayed there. There is a really nice looking White Castle and QuickTrip gas station next door, but everything else was a few blocks away. Oddities/tips They give you a parking pass and tell you to park around back. The pass says they charge $10/day for parking but I didn't get charged. This hotel has tons of parking around it so no idea why they would charge for parking. They don't have a pool per their website and don't tell you when you check in, but my key worked to access the pool next to the hotel! I wouldn't stay here if I wanted to be guaranteed a pool but it's worth trying if you decide you want to go for a swim! The pool is fairly small so maybe during peak use periods, Tru guests wouldn't have access. Overall I am not sure I would stay here again unless I thought the "game room" lobby would be handy like if I was traveling with a group of families or friends who wanted a place to hangout. Even thought ahead to get around close to the adult only pool. He gets extra brownie points for that lol our room was beautiful. With a huge balcony overlooking the pool there's a nice huge tub to soak in the room as well as a separate shower, a king size bed, and a couch. We decided to take advantage of the nearly empty pool for a bit before heading out to dinner at the nearby Reds at the golf course. Service was phenomenal no matter where we went on the property room was quiet and we just kept talking about how comfortable the bed and pillow pillows were.. we typically wish we were back at home when we go to a hotel because the beds are so uncomfortable but this trip we slept great. They had live music at the bar and Grill when we went for a later night, appetizer and drinks. We're already planning our next trip back. I will say if you have younger kids that the bigger pool is pretty awesome as a waterslide and his large enough even when busy that you don't feel overcrowded it was a great weekend for sure.

The family pool was extremely crowded with children, which is expected for a family-friendly resort. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which was much quieter and child-free. Unfortunately, the adult pool area felt like an afterthought compared to the family side. Several tiles in the pool were broken, giving the area a worn and somewhat neglected feel. The lounge chairs were not as nice as those at the family pool, and the cabanas also seemed less inviting and less maintained. The food and beverage experience was another disappointment. There was no traditional menu available at the adult pool. Instead, you had to scan a QR code on the drink menu to access food options and then call in your order yourself. It felt inconvenient and took away from the relaxing resort experience. One bright spot was the poolside service. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the day. She did a great job and provided excellent customer service. While the adult pool provided a quieter atmosphere, it lacked the quality and amenities I expected.

Between my wife and me we probably hit 60 nights combined a year and get a taste of a lot of properties. This property has a good location (especially for events and races at PIR) and is conveniently located right off of I10. Honestly, this place needs a full remodel and is not in very good condition. We just completed a two night stay on January 1, 2026 and will not be coming back until the hotel gets fully done. For the record, we have stayed at this property previously at least once or twice in the last 5 years and I don't remember it being in quite as bad condition as it is now. We were in room 236. Walls had damage in common areas and the room. Carpet stains galore both in the room and hallways. The bathroom was grubby; the grout looked like it had not been deep cleaned since the hotel opened in 2007 (distinctly possible). Media and charging solutions in the rooms are painfully outdated, especially given how many properties have been updating this recently. Back door did not lock properly to the parking lot which was not confidence inspiring. We skipped the breakfast both days, so no comment there. The Residence Inn nearby is a WAY better place to stay (much newer and nicer), even if it costs a bit more. Neighboring Hilton Garden Inn is also dated, but remember it being in a bit better condition (have not stayed there in at least 2 years iether though).

Didn't even shower while I was here, it was THAT gross. Toilet was so busted we had to call maintenance in to fix it just so it would flush. They did offer us to switch rooms but with 2 dogs, that wasn't the best solution. Refused to even attempt the pool because of the filth. Disabled our room keys BEFORE check out time (11am regular check out and we were guaranteed a late check out at 12pm, but the keys were disabled around 10:30am) so we got locked out when we took our dogs out for a walk. Had to march my angry butt to the complete other side of the hotel to get them reactivated, all while my dogs were outside in 90° weather. Unacceptable. 1/2 extra star because the front desk staff is really nice (they can't help they work for a crappy hotel) and they do have a big real grass area for pets. But no bags in the pet station so there is dog waste everywhere. Stay anywhere else if you're looking to stay for more than 1 night.

First, the photos on the website look like they're from 10+ years ago & the hotel does not look like this. Once we got to the hotel, my family & I discovered multiple bugs in the room. We found two in the bathroom and one in our bed! It was so uncomfortable to even sleep after seeing that. Additionally, we found so many stains on the bedsheets and covers, making it seem like the employees don't wash the bed sheets.
