    Complimentary Breakfast
    Deni G.

Wish I would have said thank you! Remember when the day started with a hot cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast? At the Residence Inn, the good things never change. On Saturday, I woke up early to meet my father at the Residence Inn for breakfast. The breakfast area was packed. To be honest I think everyone decided to eat at the same time. I can understand why the complimentary breakfast at the Residence Inn is delicious. They have all the favorites like hot waffles, sausage and eggs, buttermilk biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, pastries, oatmeal, muffins, hot and cold cereals, beagles, juice, milk and piping-hot coffee. So as I sat I let the aroma of fresh brewed coffee fill the air as I read the morning newspaper and prepared for the day's activities. As I sat reading the paper what I failed to realize was the one person who made breakfast so enjoyable. She was the cook, the greeter, the person who cleared the tables, and kept the food stocked. Yes, one dedicated staff member did it all! I wish I would have thanked her ... for her dedication to provide excellent customer service. Not once did she not meet the needs of the guest and did it all with a smile. I hope to see her again so I can say thank you!

Nice Hotel, a little older but clean !!! My husband and I travel quite a bit and this is our First time Staying Here. The front lobby is very open with an expansive stairway leading to the second floor. We were greeted by two front Desk receptionists who were very friendly to us when we checked in. They told us they were having some remodeling done but everything looked good to us, No Dust, etc. Our room was on the second floor and was the perfect size for our Mom and us. The bathroom is spacious and has a Jacuzzi Tub, although a lot of travelers these days are a little older and a walk in shower would be better suited. There are no drawers or a cabinet in the bathroom so better not stay a few days. When we returned from dinner we met two other people at the check-in desk, Isaac and Virginia, they were both a pleasure to talk with and were very knowledgeable about the hotel !! Also this Hotel has Solar on the roof !! Wonderful for the environment and why not since the sun shines here A Lot !! Great Job guys !! We're looking forward to the Included Breakfast !!!

My one week stay at this Residence Inn was fairly good. My suite was clean and spacious. Nice comfortable living room and kitchen area. The A/C was controllable and did well throughout my stay. The first night the bed sheets had a mild bleach smell but after having them changed, I had no problems at all. The hotel staff and room service personnel were friendly and professional at all times. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good but not much variation but enough to start the day. The privacy at this hotel is great with several entrances besides the front desk secured by key card access only. The parking lot had plenty of spaces throughout the hotel and had no problems at all. The one issue I did have was with the laundry service. A few of my shirts were stained by an oily liquid which I was able to remove with a fresh wash once I made it home. Not professional at all and very expensive which is the reason I dropped one star. I recommend this Residence Inn and will definitely stay here again.

Not a five star hotel with chocolate on your pillow but there are two TV's in my King Suite. Fast wifi, friendly and helpful staff, what more could you ask for?!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, especially compared to some "renovated" hotels I've stayed at in Las Vegas. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it included a microwave and small fridge. Breakfast was included with a nice variety like cereal, bread, oatmeal, and make-your-own waffles (red velvet or vanilla). The location was convenient with Target, Cracker Barrel, restaurants, and gas stations nearby. Wish I had more time to enjoy the pool, but overall it was a pleasant last-minute stay and I'd definitely book again.

I responded with "It's locked" and finally, someone buzzed me in. Not a great way to start things off. When we got to our room, my wife and I were thirsty and were looking for the bottles of water that are normally in our room. I went to the front desk and inquired about them to which I was told "Only Diamond members get the water automatically". I showed the front desk staff the Hilton app which showed that as a Silver member, I was supposed to get two bottles of water at check in. I also mentioned that I recently stayed at the Hilton in Flagstaff and Gilbert and that waters were provided not just there but also at other Hiltons that we have stayed at over the years. She responded with "We are privately owned and don't have to follow the Hilton rules but I will give you two bottles of water this time only". What kind of a response is that??? I am grateful that the AC in the room was turned on when my wife and I got to the room (it was over 90 degrees outside). I did not appreciate the attitude of the two front desk staff members and have never encountered attitudes at any other Hilton that I have stayed at. I will never stay at this location again and would rather make the drive to Gilbert where there is a nice Doubletree by Hilton that has staff which treats people with respect.

There is also water, cold brew coffee, hot coffee, and tea available all day. There is breakfast that varies each day with a couple of hot items, always a pancake maker, and cereal/oatmeal. The actual hotel room is very minimalist. Hard floors throughout, open shelves and a bar to hang your clothes. There is a small dorm size fridge, but no microwave. Shower is a walk in and no tub. Complimentary shampoo, soap, and conditioner are large squeeze tubes mounted to the wall. My room was mostly clean but did have some obvious wear even though it's not that old. Overall, it was quiet and I slept great. Negatives - workout room has two treadmills and an exercise bike and a variety of balls and weight benches. But no weights! There were three medicine balls, three different sized kettle bells, and a two pound dumbbell. If you are looking for more than just cardio options, stay somewhere else. There are no nice restaurants within walking distance of this hotel (when it is 110 out) as of when I stayed there. There is a really nice looking White Castle and QuickTrip gas station next door, but everything else was a few blocks away. Oddities/tips They give you a parking pass and tell you to park around back. The pass says they charge $10/day for parking but I didn't get charged. This hotel has tons of parking around it so no idea why they would charge for parking. They don't have a pool per their website and don't tell you when you check in, but my key worked to access the pool next to the hotel! I wouldn't stay here if I wanted to be guaranteed a pool but it's worth trying if you decide you want to go for a swim! The pool is fairly small so maybe during peak use periods, Tru guests wouldn't have access. Overall I am not sure I would stay here again unless I thought the "game room" lobby would be handy like if I was traveling with a group of families or friends who wanted a place to hangout. Beautiful Resort with Truly Exceptional Service!…read more The Wigwam was such a wonderful experience! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful -- gorgeous Southwestern architecture and landscaping, spacious accommodations, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. But what really made my stay memorable was the people. The service from beginning to end was outstanding. My experience started with an easy check-in and a wonderful surprise -- a complimentary room upgrade! I also had a Tesla that needed charging, and the valet team immediately moved it to the front of the line and took care of it for me. That level of attentiveness continued throughout my entire stay. I loved spending time at the adults-only Oasis Pool, and one of my favorite resort amenities was the golf-cart transportation around the property. Staff will pick you up and take you wherever you'd like to go, which is especially appreciated during the Arizona summer heat! The highlight of my stay was definitely the Summer Sampler at LeMonds Aveda Salon & Spa. It included a wonderful massage and facial, time relaxing by the beautiful spa pool, a delicious fresh salad for lunch, and a wash and style to finish the day. Everyone at the spa was incredibly kind and attentive. Pauline did my hair and was exceptionally sweet -- the perfect ending to such a relaxing day. I also had a great experience at the Wigwam Bar. Amber was a fabulous bartender and server, and Gabriel, the manager, was exceptional. They were happy to accommodate my low-carb request and substitute fresh vegetables for the rice, which was very much appreciated. There are plenty of beautiful resorts, but it's the hospitality that can make a stay truly memorable, and The Wigwam absolutely delivered. Everyone I encountered made me feel welcome and well cared for. I would absolutely return and highly recommend The Wigwam for a relaxing Arizona getaway!

We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. But overall, we loved everything else about the resort and would highly recommend staying here.

Quality Inn and Suites, Goodyear, AZ 3 stars for Potential…read moreMy husband and I had to move back to Phoenix for his cancer treatments. His daughter made the arrangements and paid for us to stay 2 weeks-plus. This hotel is located on Dysart, next to the I-10 Freeway. The first thing we noticed was that the Lobby Doors were dirty and smudged and that the lobby itself was small for a 160-room hotel. There was no room where anyone could go and use their laptops. The lobby itself was relatively clean but the seating was uncomfortable. All the staff were extremely new to their jobs. NOTE TO THOSE WHO MAY HAVE TAKEN PART IN A PROMO FROM THE CORPORATE OFFICE- DO NOT COUNT ON THEM HONORING THAT PROMO AS IT CONCERNS A FRANCHISE. They had recently been remodeling but it looks to have been a very stingy remodel of the rooms. Our room was located at the back of the hotel, right next to the freeway which was noisy when you opened the door but when closed, the traffic could barely be heard. The room's bathroom was relatively new, with a large roll-in shower for those who are handicapped. BTW, IF you are disabled and need a "roll-in shower", you must be very clear about it because just saying you want a handicap-friendly room means (to the reservations agent or front of the house management), you just need safety bars with the tub. The beds were comfortable (the box springs were old, stained), a bit high off the floor but we managed. The furniture shows wear and is by no means new but functional, standard TV and channels were available along with a good, simple microwave and a fridge that seems to be self-regulated (the more food in the fridge, the colder it became.) The room wasn't as clean as I am used to but then, they were way understaffed in the housekeeping department at that time. The walkways were dirty, hadn't been swept and unwashed; the parking lot had not been cleaned for a bit either. They could use a new surfacing and painting for parking lines. Drainage needs to be established in the parking area near the wall next to the freeway; it rained and we had to wade in 3-inch puddles of water to get out of the car. The Other parking in front of our row of rooms required handicap tags. Fact is, that the front and back of the house management staff is too newly on the job (from 3 months to 6 months) so they said. As for the free WIFI, it was unstable at best but most of the time, non-existent in our room, and I consider it a misrepresentation. I could get no much-needed research done. They had a free breakfast available; typical processed eggs, sausage patties, a horrible sausage gravy, mass produced pastries...the usual low- cost breakfast selection. There was a decent IHOP and Black Bear Restaurants very nearby. I did take up the problems I noticed with the manager and head housekeeper but both of them were too defensive to hear what I was trying to suggest to them. They were offended and dismissive. This doesn't surprise me as I was told the hotel was a franchised property. This hotel should and may well be, more efficient, cleaner, develop a better first impression, hold on to productive housekeeping staff to reduce turnover (by training them in multiple methods), will keep the rooms and public areas cleaned in a timely manner. None of the housekeeping staff we met had uniforms or name tags but every one of them were sweet-tempered and accommodating (but working way too hard.) The housekeepers (no, I never call them maids), were hard-pressed for time to clean the rooms correctly and obviously did not have enough linen. What was placed on the bed was extremely wrinkled sheets but clean; the sheets should never look as though they just came off another bed. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN EVER! This hotel has a great deal of potential. Having worked in hotels, resorts and private estates for over 40 years, I observe hotels very differently from the management and staff. I have been a guest, a staff member and management. I hope for the sake of the guests and the staff, that management listens to not just their egos but the guests and whoever has the wisdom and experience to make their jobs something to be proud of. Maintenance and cleaning methods can be made easier to implement and for goodness sake, call Trans World Network and get a strong, consistent, full coverage WFI system in the hotel IF at all possible. The first name on the sign says QUALITY...make it so! Running a hospitality business is hard, tedious work but it's also an art form: creating a memorable experience for the guests is a goal, that if reached, will bring more business and positive reviews than just mediocre ones. We would stay again if we had to but mostly because of the roll-in shower and the housekeepers who always made us feel welcome.

Didn't even shower while I was here, it was THAT gross. Toilet was so busted we had to call maintenance in to fix it just so it would flush. They did offer us to switch rooms but with 2 dogs, that wasn't the best solution. Refused to even attempt the pool because of the filth. Disabled our room keys BEFORE check out time (11am regular check out and we were guaranteed a late check out at 12pm, but the keys were disabled around 10:30am) so we got locked out when we took our dogs out for a walk. Had to march my angry butt to the complete other side of the hotel to get them reactivated, all while my dogs were outside in 90° weather. Unacceptable. 1/2 extra star because the front desk staff is really nice (they can't help they work for a crappy hotel) and they do have a big real grass area for pets. But no bags in the pet station so there is dog waste everywhere. Stay anywhere else if you're looking to stay for more than 1 night.
