After a truly horrible experience across the street at Metro Extended Stay, we were stressed, exhausted, and honestly just ready to go home. SpringHill Suites completely turned everything around for us. From the moment we walked in, the hotel felt clean, comfortable, and most importantly -- safe. The lobby and rooms were spotless, the beds were cozy, and the entire property was well-maintained. It immediately felt like a place where we could actually relax. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Ricky and Aaron, who went above and beyond to help us get checked in quickly and smoothly. They treated us with genuine care and made us feel taken care of during a really frustrating situation. If you're visiting the area, do yourself a favor and book here. Forst time staying in a hotel since early 2020 and I'm so happy we stayed here. The rooms are clean and spacious we are a family of 5 and could of fit 6 easily. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We arrived early and Ricky was very helpful and friendly he was able to check us in. I don't think some of these comments are accurate when it comes to the hotel staff. Guest sometimes can be difficult and the staff (front desk agent) here are usually doing everything by themselves they can only do so much when they are alone. I would stay here again. This is not a $200 per night property. Marriott should sell it to a lower chain. Faces the interstate both sides. Windows are single pane cheap and leak. Loud trucks all night. TV didn't work and they didn't know how to fix it. I took the cable box off the TV in the lobby to be able to watch. Lock your car. Homeless everywhere. The bathroom tub was worn out like all the carpet. AC hardly worked. There is a Best Western behind this hotel. It looks new. It's off the interstate too. The managers were not willing to adjust the rate for no TV or AC. They are full. Ran out of most breakfast food too. Sad. read more

I had a great time in this trip the shuttle that they offer will take you to nearby places and pick you up. love that! if you have a nearby business meeting you won't need to uber every single day. they have coffee out 24 hr and when I requested some syrup they got it for me Breakfast had nice options but I especially appreciated the nuts- I had oatmeal topped with almonds, walnuts, cashews, PETA's, and sunflower seeds! as someone trying to eat Whole Foods and avoid processed foods this hit the spot. the room was perfect. read more

We stayed here because of it's location between PHX and Luke AFB (about 30 miles to each) and the economical price. We checked in late in the evening and the girl at the front desk was super friendly. The room was clean and the television had a ton of (almost too many) channels. The breakfast in the morning was complementary and was well stocked. All in all, this is a nice clean and worth the money. read more

This hotel by itself is a solid 3 stars. What bumps it up in my book is the incredible staff. A group of us were in town and SpringHill Suites was incredibly helpful about getting us a group rate. They were very responsive via email and even more helpful in person. I have to say that the guy at the front desk was amazing. He was funny, friendly, helpful, and just all around great. Any question we had we got answered. We needed to head out before breakfast was going to be ready and he helped us get something beforehand. If we needed extra towels, they were there for us. The rooms themselves are clean but very standard. The beds are a little soft but fine. Yes, it's dated and worn, but that's reflected in the price. read more

Location: About 15 minutes away from the downtown Phoenix with free on-site parking; however, the hotel location is not so intuitive because of the one-way local street entrance (easy to drive in, a slight hassle to drive out). You will need to drive to grocery stores because they are not within 5 minutes of walking distance. Price: About $75 per night (with tax and other fees) for the 2 Queen Suite with a sofa bed. Room: Clean bathroom with a high pressure shower head, comfortable sofa bed (very easy to pull in and out the bottom deck of the sofa bed), free WiFi (I had to walk downstairs and ask for the password), and strong A/C (can set the temperature as low as 65 °F - that's awfully cold). Other amenities: A small fitness gym (treadmills, elliptical machines, and a dumbbell rack), a small pool, free popcorn + coffee + hot water with tea bags at the lobby, and complimentary breakfast. Honestly it was a surprisingly comfortable stay ... minus the strong A/C which was out of my control due to other folks adjusted the temperature during the middle of the night (in football teams battle for field position ... This hotel is advertised as "three star", and I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. The rooms definitely are larger than your typical hotel rooms, or at least feel like it. You can see photos of them from others on here. They feel kinda dated, though, honestly. Very worn and patched up. But in my room specifically, I had the following issues: a completely broken (not stays plugged in) outlet at the desk area. The shower drain was unscrewed and kinda broken (had to just take it out completely for water to drain). Calling front desk multiple times just rings and rings, no answer. The water pressure at the sink is a dribble. The parking situation was insane at night. I came back around midnight and the whole upper lot was full, and some folks even parked sideways to take up multiple spots. I had to park in the lower area-- which I think is okay, but is technically another hotel? Anyways, I wasn't that impressed for a "3 star" hotel. Needs updating and maintenance. Follow up: when I went to check out, no one was at desk. Waited about a minute or so and someone came from the back, not in any uniform just street clothes and asked what I needed. A bit unprofessional. Follow up- I asked for my receipt to be emailed to me and have yet to receive it. I tried to call them to make sure they email me the receipt and their line just keeps ringing. This was actually my second time staying here but my first review. I remembered this location from my previous trip when some friends and I decided to do a road trip to Phoenix. Part of the reason I chose it is for the location which puts you close to the freeway and near a lot of restaurants. There is a big parking lot and the staff was very welcoming we got there even though our room wasn't ready yet and we figured it would happen as we were early. They were more than happy to hold our bags so that we didn't have them cooking in our car during the Phoenix summer sun. We had booked 2 suites, each one with 2 queen beds and a sleeper. The sleeper was not your typical heavy, pull out of the sofa sleeper. This one looked like a sofa, but you pulled the mattress out from under, removed the seat cushions to place the mattress on top a wooden frame. My friends that ended up sleeping on it were very satisfied. The room was clean and spacious with a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The morning breakfast in pre-covid times was pretty good but now it consists of a lot of grab and go stuff but there is still lots to chose from; hot cereal, fresh fruits, dry cereal, muffins, yogurt, coffee, tea and water. The morning staff consisted of only one person for a while so she was running around setting up the breakfast while trying to check out guests from their rooms. It took 25 mins for the front desk receptionist to come out of the office. After check-in I went to enter the room but couldn't because the room key did not work. The receptionist had to change the room. Total check-in time after multiple trips to the front desk took an hour. The elevator was broken so it was multiple strips up and down the stairs. The following day my room key I programmed AGAIN so I had to go to the front desk again. The elevator was broken so my mother who is having issues with her heel had to endure the stairs. The pool was dirty. The sofa in the room had white questionable stains as in the picture I attached. The online photos did not match the property the pool is about 1/4 the size of the picture false advertisement. The hallway smelled like weed my whole 2 night stay. I was in town for my college graduation and had activities planned so if I had the time I would have looked and checked-in to another hotel. The room was not clean room service did not come in to clean the room throughout our whole stay. Definitely short staffed stay was not pleasant. read more

It was really busy so things were a little in need of replenish but they staff was working hard. I have no problems here. The hotel seemed clean fro the halls to the room I had. Although this is definitely a 3 star hotel , I must give it a 5 star due to the impeccable service displayed by Ricky. He is incredibly kind, funny, efficient, and personable. He'll take care of you, 100%. my bougie taste was a little in shell shock upon arriving to Phoenix and this area of accommodations yet being served by Ricky was hands down worth with subpar accommodations and low vibration guests . As mentioned in another review, there are so many hotels in this area, I often wonder how they all manage to stay in business. I used to live in Phoenix, frequenting the airport in particular, and never noticed this unpretentious hotel tucked away on the east side frontage road off I-17. The styling of the building is standard southwest issue, pale cream colored walls, tile, orange gravel and zero water decorative plants, but is notably clean and tidy with a nice little patio near the windows that allow diners to view the sun-drenched grounds. Parking is plentiful and free. The staff are friendly without being obsequious though I never had any problems or requests that would have tested the service beyond check-in and check-out. I was very surprised at the quality of the rooms and amenities given the very reasonable room rate. Less than $70 a night buys you a comfy bed, a generous kitchenette including a refrigerater / freezer and microwave, well organized work space, large couch and flat screen TV with a surprisingly modern and appealing decor. They even offer Paul Mitchell bath products which I've never seen at a hotel before. The A/C is powerful and effective against the oppressive heat of the valley. To sweeten your visit, the free breakfast they serve each morning offers a couple of hot items and a relatively large selection of continental items. (See my tip for more specific info.) Only possible complaint might be the location of the hotel. The frontage road only goes in one direction on each side of I-17 to the north or south of the hotel. I wanted to get to a grocery store for water etc and there were none nearby according to the Yelp app on my phone. Still, I'd stay here if I needed to be in this area of Phoenix overnight. read more

Stayed here for one night with my family during the summer. I have stayed at several other nearby similar hotels...with Hyatt Place being our former favorite. I can tell you that SpringHill Suites blows the others away. In fact, I'm kind of angry I didn't discover them sooner. This has gotten to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Besides the staff not being friendly but they make it difficult during checkin. We actually came out for a baseball tournament and management had made our reservation and we were unable to have payment go to the card in file. We had all informed needed to show it was being paid by the organization and they would not bother. Another parent drove from California and had a horrible experience here as well. The breakfast had the freshest and most variety of breakfast options. The oatmeal toppings had a buffet on to itself. Everything was clean and organized. The hotel is a converted SpringHill Suites. The rating for this hotel is based on the management they understand Hospitality they listened to concerns and complaints and made corrections which is unheard of today which is also nice to experience that I had a few problems during the stay in they corrected quickly. One of the problems that seems to be prevalent is the breakfast always gets out late which is frustrating if you have a 7 appointment. It's usually 5 to 10 minutes late everyday and then they wrap up all the other parts of the buffet so you couldn't make a bagel get juice or something prior to 6:30 am almost like a college cafeteria. The other issue is having road noise if you're near the highway they have ear plugs that they put by the bed to help but your best to get them far from the highway and then put on your fan and you'll be fine it'll be a quiet room. They do a great job of recognizing you as a Marriott frequent stay and I felt privileged to be there as a recognized your status which is very important as you travel from hotel to hotel and one of the reasons I left the Hilton. I'm now staying primarily at Marriott Hotels. This is not a luxurious Hotel. However, all the rooms are spacious with a microwave and fridge it is a business hotel that's a step up from a Hampton and the breakfast is excellent once it's out and I said the management staff goes out of the way to make sure you are feeling comfortable. Management addresses professionally any issues. This is not common in today's business hotels. As with any Marriott Hotel, the TV Guide is easy to use you can also internet stream Netflix HBO Showtime through your TV which is also a great feature not found in Hilton or Hampton. Although located on the highway, it's located near an Outback is also several fast food locations nearby it's also near a Best Western and a Marriott Courtyard. The only issues are the highway noise and aged property and late breakfast buffet. I would say it's a comfortable business Hotel. read more

This hotel served the purpose for what we needed. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit and it had literally everything. The kitchen is nice as you don't have to eat out all the time or at least can enjoy bfast in room with a cup of coffee on the sofa in your pjs! There is a pool, snacks, breakfast, laundry facilities, small gym and near the highway. It was clean and that is the most important part. There is limited eating in walking distance but that is about it for downsides. Enjoy. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU CALL THE HOTEL FIRST! These people left me stranded alone at night after I made a reservation and paid online. They have decided not to accept certain debit cards but they did not update website or with any of their third party companies. Yes they did allow me to cancel for free but really what else were they going to do when they would not accept my bofa debit card for incidentals. Of course my refund will not be immediate and can take up to 10 days. Sure are quick to pull it out but not to put it back. I understand a chime or cash app card but this is a BANK OF AMERICA CARD Issued by the state of Arizona that is loaded with my child support. You can not overdraw this account and it is a state and bank issued VISA!! Thanks for the terrible treatment, waste of time and screwing me over so I had to stay in my car SpringHill. Overall a great stay, however there are a few hiccups along the way. When we got there, one of the front desk associate was chatting away with the other, without acknowledging us, took her a minute before knowing that we are existing in front of her. Upon entering, opening doors and wheeling our luggage in, me saying hello, she totally ignored us. The other one, Ricky, was really nice and professional with acknowledging us and explaining the situation. Their elevators were not working the whole weekend, good thing we are only on the second floor, a slight inconvenience. We were locked out of the room on our second day, but they were able to resolve it, saying it's been happening for a while now. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am, and has cold and hot food options. The pool was heated. Check-out was a breeze! Also, the sorrounding area gets sketchy after dark. read more

Hotel is centrally located and right off I-17. Price was fair for a small hotel but as a national chain I have stayed at before this one was below par. Room was not good. Carpets where filthy, outside shade was torn...not enough drawer space. Outside shade was inadequate to keep light out in the morning. Ceiling was very thin as you could hear people walking upstairs. Bedding was OK and could have been newer and they needed more of it. Breakfast was good but staff did not replenish quick enough. Staff was friendly. read more

Stayed here 3 nights. Hotel staff was friendly at check-in and checkout. The rooms seem newly remodeled and have a sitting area full size desk, microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom was clean in appearance but the tub could have used a deep scrub. Also the walls must be on the thin side because I heard muffled voices a few times or maybe the neighbors TV, funny they provide ear plugs at bedside so I must not be they only one hearing things. My only real complaint, no hair dryer. I asked and my co-workers did not have them in their rooms either. But no biggie I'm not that extra and got by without it. The free breakfast is scrambled eggs, Sausage patties, toast, bagels, 3 selections of cereal, oatmeal, some bakery items like muffins ,croissants and danishes some fresh fruit and a do it yourself waffle station. Quite possibly the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at that I can remember. The road noise is so bad that we put the AC on blower all night just to hide some of the sounds. Our power went out due to a monsoon storm. We weren't sure when it was going to get turned back on and our two little girls were very warm. My husband called to see if they had any rooms available and if they would take pets because of our power being out. They were extremely accommodating!
