We were in town for a wedding reception in Lake Carmel NY. Great location! Only 15 mins away from the venue. Conveniently located 30 mins from White Plains airport and 1 hour from NYC. There was also many local eateries and shopping within less than 10 minutes drive. The rooms were spacious and very clean! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful! You could see they truly cared, which is rare these days. I arrived 2 mins after breakfast and the woman re-opened the breakfast center just for me. We were so appreciative of the great hospitality. The fitness center was a little cramped and there was only one elevator but that is a super small con amidst all of the pros. Definitely a return visit if we're in the area. Stellar stay! read more

Stayed here while visiting family nearby. When we arrived, the bed had clearly not been changed. There were several stains on the pillows, one weird, perfectly round stain that looked like grease and one pillow which had makeup stains. The sheets had clearly been slept in. I've read about some hotels not changing sheets after a one night stay but this is the first time I've actually experienced it. And at a Marriott! There were little sugar ants around the bathroom area. Not many, but they just kept appearing. When I complained the staff told me it was because they are located in the woods. Bull- - - - This hotel is old and tired. To top it off, they charged for parking. While the charge is minimal, the hotel is on the outskirts of the city, no reason to charge for parking. read more

At 10:30 PM with the temperatures staying too hot, I decided that I would burn some Marriott points and stay in an air conditioned hotel for the night. The weather is supposed to change tomorrow but for now it's 85 degrees at 10pm and that's just not working for me. I arrived at 10:30 and I was on my way at 6:30. I have no complaints and the free breakfast they had was good for proteins and low carb. I was able to get back on my keto diet after blowing it completely in Manhattan over the weekend. Springhill Suites was there for us when another hotel in which we were staying had to close due to maintenance issues. We were in town for 3 weeks to vist family, and ended up spending most of that time at Springhill Suites. Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Well-appointed suites. Quiet. Clean. Good exercise room. Laundry room. Full breakfast buffet with something for everyone---even this picky vegetarian. We had one incident while we were there---a woman moved into the room next to us. She smoked tobacco, burned incense, and had some loud late-night phone calls. The General Manager, Tricia, handled the situation amazingly. She dealt with the other guest, eventually having to ask her to leave, and kept us informed about the process. The situation wasn't fun, but Tricia handled it really well. We'll definitely be back!! read more

Property needs a remodel and update. Room had an old mini fridge that was so loud that I turned it off even though I wanted to use. The window a/c heater unit is very loud. When I was there, there was a lot of guests that were there for a wedding. I went to bed at 10pm. At 11 PM, the guest in the room next to me be turned and they're young child had a temper tantrum screaming crying banging in the walls until 11:30 PM. I put the loud AC on to drown out the noise, but it still hear her then at 11:30 PM. The fire alarm went off. I went outside and we were cleared to return around midnight to our rooms. I tried to fall back asleep, but wedding guests started to be in the hallway, talking loudly and slamming doors every minute or so. This went on until 3 AM. I also found the bed very uncomfortable. I called the front desk twice and it was still a problem so hardly any sleep at this hotel. Then at 7:30 AM the person above me got up and you could hear them stomping around and then in the shower, you could hear the pipes, the water flowing and even some pinging noise in the wall in the room that was linked to the shower. So not only does the property need a refresh aesthetically it also needs to have some attention with the plumbing , ac heater unit, and new fridges. Breakfast was disappointing. Also, I ended up not finding anything that I wanted to eat. I made coffee in my room that I brought and had breakfast later on the road. First and last time I am staying here I do not recommend this hotel. read more

Easy to get to off the highway. Ample parking and a covered entrance, I stayed here mid week into a weekend. Hotel is clean- staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. It is quiet - semi renovated- while it still has some of the old furniture from its last design the couches are incredible. Very modern and they pull out into another bed (trundle). read more

Clean with updated furnishings. Breakfast was the usual free breakfast with stay, but a little better than most. A nice selection of restaurants less than 5 minutes away. The pull out bed in the room is the better West Elm pullout. I didn't need it this time, but it is much better option should you need to use it. One drawback noticed is there is only one elevator. The hotel seemed to be large enough to need 2, and the wait could be longer than necessary. A quick one night stay for me,but I would stay again if I was in the area. read more

Great hotel for wedding guests. We had a wedding nearby and used this hotel for our guests. We occupied 50 rooms. The hotel was clean and very accommodating. They allowed us to use their foyer as a hangout after the wedding. The next day they offered a full breakfast. They encouraged me to bring in extra food after their breakfast ended at 9:30 and continued to have coffee available to us. I would highly recommend this hotel. read more

Literally, my home away from home. I've stayed here twice in the past two weeks to escape my home and I wanted to be very close to work. Despite working in the area for five years until this month, I never picked this hotel when I had to stay over for work. What's changed? Well, I've become a crazy Marriott points person and now I can't stay anywhere else, if I can help it. The nightly rate here is slightly higher than the Crowne Plaza if you book on Priceline, but I hate not getting my points, so I put out a little extra money and it was worth it. This hotel is lovely, spacious and doesn't feel like a hotel room, in a good way. It feels more like a condo and very homey. The bed is dreamy and one night I surprisingly got 10 full hours of uninterrupted sleep, which is amazing and unheard of for me. There is a tiny kitchenette, which serves its purpose, a sleeper couch and decent bathroom. However, my typical complaint about the hair dryer being from 1999 is also true here. Despite the location of this hotel, I didn't hear any noise from the highway or the adjoining rooms, which is always a plus. The parking is ample and easily accessible from the hotel. All parking is outside and uncovered in the lot, it's also free. They serve free continental breakfast in the morning, and they offer all of the typical food including bagels, eggs, fruit, cereal and more. The food is quite good and there is an inviting lobby where you can sit down and relax while you eat. The travelers I've seen tend to be professionals and I didn't see any children while I was there. I checked out the pool, and while it's indoors and small, it's a nice perk. There are only four floors here, so no amazing views, but you don't expect that in Danbury. I can't wait to return here very soon! read more

This hotel checks all of the boxes for a simple hotel for people either traveling for business or on a long road trip and need a place to stay along the way. There is no spa, no boutiques, no award winning restaurant, etc. here. Who cares about all that, anyway? This hotel is close to I-84, has ample parking and the whole place from lobby to guest rooms look like they have had a recent facelift. It was a lot more sleek and modern than I expected. The rooms are all suites, hence the name of the hotel. This means all of the rooms are a bit larger than normal hotel rooms, and have a couch, to resemble a living room, I guess. The bed was very comfy and the windows in the room actually open a few inches. I really don't like the stale air you get in most hotels, so being able to get fresh air in the room was a nice touch. There was free wi-fi all over the hotel and in the rooms and free breakfast. The pool and whirlpool were all well maintained and the gym, although small, had actual free weights - amazing. The staff here was very friendly and attentive from the night staff to the people there during the day. read more

Needs Updates I stayed at this hotel recently. My wife traveled with me. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Good for business or extended stays. Free parking and free internet were included with the room. There was an area to pull up and luggage carts to carry the luggage. The counter attendant was friendly and helpful in pointing us to shops, food, and gasoline. The rooms were quiet. the bed mattress was very comfortable and the pillows were as well. There was a fitness center, a pool, and a hot tub. There was a breakfast included and there were some hot items. Water was a little difficult to locate but it was there. The town was quiet but we had a great meal at rosy tomorrows just down the street. We wished we could have stayed longer. My only two small criticisms were that the shower did not have an appropriate liner and so the water soaked through it and on to the floor but there were plenty of towels to clean it up. This hotel is conveniently located next to my office and I have spent many nights there. With covid there is rarely more than 5 vehicles there overnight. Recently they put me on the first floor directly under another customer who was known to be excessively loud. The customer woke me multiple times during the night. I complained to the morning staff who said the manager would call me....she never did. More recently I booked a 3 night stay and ended up canceling a couple days before. The manager would not refund my "early purchase". I am a Marriott lifetime Titanium member and I will NOT stay at this property again. read more

The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The front desk manager was VERY rude and abrasive about my perfectly behaved registered service dog. She technically broke the law but I'm never "that person" that makes a big deal. I've stayed in over 100 marriotts and only twice encountered someone rude about my dog. I won't be staying here again. So I booked this hotel for Sunday night and Monday night knowing that we most likely wouldn't get power until 11:45pm EST Monday (per NYSEG's updates). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful (Doris and Mike), even making it so we could keep the same room both knows since initially they were on two reservations since the first night I was using Marriott points to stay. The shower was nice and they actually have mounted bottles of shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower. The room we booked had two Queen beds, a large sofa, a small sink, mini fridge and microwave and oddly two TVs. I never actually tested out the TVs or anything else because when I went back to my house to grab a few miscellaneous items (plus my Husband lol) our power came back on! I found a family friend who needed a place to stay and Doris was able to seamlessly transfer the room into their name so they could utilize the room. She also graciously cancelled my second night, free of charge (thank you Doris!!) If I ever need a place to stay again in the area, I would def. choose SpringHill Suites. read more

Due to a death in the family, my brother and I needed lodging so that we could attend the funeral. Rather than pay for two separate rooms, we decided to find hotel that had spacious suites that we could share. SpringHill turned out to be an excellent deal and the hotel itself is very pleasant. Beds were comfortable, and the staff were gracious about providing extra pillows for those, like me, who sleep with a pillow tucked to the side or between the knees. The bathroom is also spacious, nothing glamorous, but it had the tub/shower and space to move around. There is a small sitting area with a sofa, chairs, and work desk with free Wi-Fi. Free breakfast is included with the room. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only are there fresh eggs, breakfast meats, coffee, and juices, there are also plenty of pastries, cereals (hot and cold), and fresh fruit. read more

This place is so warm and welcoming. Tina the overnight staffer at the front desk is a wonderful addition to the place. The hotel offers excellent amentities for the price. An enhanced continental breakfast (includes eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and DIY waffle station) is included. a Gym, swimming pool (indoor) is also part of the package. Nestled away from the busy city this is a quite hotel without a lot of hustle and bustle. Prices were low to moderate (under $100 a night) and the rooms are upscale and clean. the only gripe I had if you could call it a gripe was that the bathrooms look slightly dated. other than that everything was top notch. Its a pretty normal Marriot, nothing overly glamorous to give it 5 stars, but nothing below-average to give it less than 4. The rooms are normal sized hotel rooms, with a divider between the sleeping area and living space. The basic complimentary shampoos, soaps, conditioners, and even a free bottle of water were included. Continental breakfast was nothing too special; oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, rolls, the usual. The Hilton Garden Inn one exit down is a little better with a flat-screen TV in the room (versus the tube in here) and the breakfast being cooked to order and having on-site dining, but thats a side-note. Didn't use the pool/whirlpool, but when I passed by it, the facilities seemed well-maintained. Heard it was recently renovated too. The location is quiet, far enough from the highway to not have any traffic noise in the room, but close enough so that you could return to the highway in less than 5 minutes. For $109 a night, the Marriot is a great deal, but if you're looking for some extras, the Hilton Garden Inn gets the nod. read more

People tend to give Danbury a once-over and then forget about it. They shouldn't! It has amazing restaurants nearby, a vibrant night scene, and proximity to some of the finest areas in southwestern New England. I've been visiting from the city all my life, and I can say that the Spring Hill Suites are the finest accommodations around. First, the pool. A great temperature with enough chairs for your own little party! My wife and I spent a whole evening here and had a blast. Her brothers loved it too! Next came the amazing room. Huge doesn't even come close to describing it! I couldn't even see the other end of it, it was so big. My wife got lost in there our second night, and it took me 15 minutes to find her. She was in the TV room; but TV is kind of a misnomer, because there's a home theater in there! 4 speakers and a blu-ray disc player all hooked up and ready to go. I had my pants off! Last, (but certainly not least) the food. You'll be saying "Bon Appetit" until you're red-in-the-face, it's so dang yummy! Hats off to the staff and hats off to the management. Keep up the good work! Adequate, but not what I expect from a Marriott brand hotel. Check-in was fine and the staff is friendly. The room was ok for my stay, but not what I thought it would be. Walk in the door and there's a 3 foot wide "kitchenette" containing a small sink, microwave and dorm fridge. Add in the $20 coffee maker that takes those plastic slide-in pod holders. Ughhh. The desk area and king size bed were very good. Having an HD TV which doesn't have any HD channels is just wrong. Trying to head out for a meeting and grab a cup of coffee for the road - only to find the 2 coffee dispensers were empty just put me over the top. read more

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Marizza at the front desk was so kind and helpful - she upgraded our room to get us away from the elevator for no charge. These beds are no ordinary beds - they have got to be made of clouds or something, I have never slept in something so comfortable! The room was super clean, well stocked, and the AC was perfect for my polar bear of a husband. :) Complimentary breakfast buffet was great - eggs, bacon, all kinds of cereal and toppings, fruit, etc...staff was constantly refreshing items and always saying good morning! I've been staying here rather frequently for work for multiple days at a time, and I've been happy with my home away from home. The room is quite comfortable, with a partial divider between the living and sleeping area (if you are staying with others). There is a microwave and fridge in the room (and a Trader Joe's around the corner) to keep some items, however the breakfast is usually so complete that I significantly over-bought. Breakfast includes juices, coffee, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, omelets and sausage, pastries, and MYO belgian waffles. I could, in all honestly, grab some peanut butter and jelly and make lunch there too. Two nights a week they have hot orderves for dinner negating my need to really eat out at all. The gym is also rather nice with modern machines and televisions on each piece. The pool was just redone last week and looks nice as well. The staff is all quite friendly, the location is great, and tons of parking. read more

A nice suite hotel with a refigerator and microwave in the room. There is one TV shared with the bedroom and "living" area which is separated by a half wall. A small sink in the "kitchen" section completes the floorplan. They have a small hotel store with microwave dinners and some snack options which you can purchase for a significant up charge. One complkaint is that the refrigerator has no freezer which I find useful for freezing water bottles for the next day's drive. read more

Awesome hotel!!! Going to Omega in Rhinebeck NY it is difficult to find affordable accommodations. We previously stayed in Poughkeepsie at the Marriott which was nice but this one was just incredible. Great decor from the door to the bathroom. Great room layout. Parking great and accessable to the highway. We liked the drive from Danbury to Omega best as well. Straight shot down 84 and over to Taconic Parkway with some of the best scenery ever, especially in the fall. We will be staying here going forward when attending Omega events. For Marriott rewards points, less that 1/2 the points of the one in Poughkeepsie. read more
