The hotel was reasonably priced for the area. Very clean great staff with lots of amenities. hot breakfast, nice pool, beach, gym, paddle kayaks, washer and dryer. there is a lot of wildlife there also (manatees iguanas and even a crocodile). The sunset view is spectacular. There is an excellent cruise that departs from the back of the hotel. Try the sunset cruise with Captain Larry. You see the whole island in the two and a half hour cruise including a beautiful sunset, dolphins, manatees, and several species of birds. It was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended with 5 stars.

If I could give 3 1/2 stars I would. Room was typical Hampton Inn room.... clean & comfortable. Staff was fantastic except for Steve at the Tiki Bar.... he wasn't overly friendly. Polite but that is a about it. Front Desk, breakfast staff , hotel maids & general staff were all very friendly. Great location.... Right on the water but I can't say I would swim at the beach..... just not appealing. We spent almost all our time at the pool. Really enjoyed the hotel for the price. My biggest concern was the birds at the pool. They would jump in the pool to get a drink numerous times during the day then walk around the deck and poop near the entrance of the pool....Disgusting.

We had an excellent mini vacation here. Check-in was seamless. The gal staffing the front desk was great. After checking into our room, we received a call (text) to make sure everything was okay. We were checked on everyday to make sure we didn't need anything. Maid service is on request which was fine. And if we needed anything replaced or fixed, we just had to call or drop by the front desk. Our room had all the necessary amenities -- small refrigerator, coffee maker, large flat screen tv, well working air conditioning, large king size bed, desk, sofa, bar sink, etc. My only quibble would be that the immovable glass door in the large tiled shower only covered one half of the shower. And the bathroom floor got a tad wet each time it was used. Also it would have been nice to have an outlet in the bedside lamp to plug in my phone charger -- only one side had outlets. But these are minor. There's also a pool, a small beach, and an area where you can fish. The exercise room is in a separate building. Everything there was clean and in working order. Throughout the property, there are stations with cleansing wipes and sanitizer. The hotel is two stories and there's an elevator. The included breakfast was very good. Lots of choices for all sorts of diets. Even fresh fruit. The area and tables are cleaned often. I would definitely return.

What an amazing and relaxing stay. The staff is so nice & polite & friendly. It was a seamless check-in and check-out process, (I use the Hilton Honors App so checkout was done digitally). The maintenance, housekeeping and kitchen staff greeted me, the front desk always greeted me and were so wonderful with my dogs. We stay in a lot of hotels and resorts and this particular Hampton Inn truly delivers on exceptional service. Jolayne & Erta went above and beyond making us feel welcomed and appreciated. The property is very nice, has a nice small stretch of beach which leads into an evening tiki bar and/or coveted place to sit and unwind 24/7. We chose a room for the view and it was just as nice as hoped for. My dogs are very well behaved, and we are a "leave no trace" pack so we muddled around on the beach and got some pets from other guests missing their furry babies. It was all around a lovely, very quiet, very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Even got some laundry done easily which I appreciate traveling for so many months; it being attached to the gym makes it easy to motivate for a little workout time if you need it. Thank you, team, for a wonderful stay- we will be back.

I got to raise my review back up this trip. I've stayed here for 6 years in a row now. This trip loved up to the usual expectations and their sweet baby manatees showed up for us too! We even brought the dog this time and it worked out really well.

As Hilton Gold members, we were fortunate to receive a small room upgrade at booking, which we definitely appreciated. Let me start with the highlights the resort amenities are wonderful, especially for families. There were plenty of complimentary activities for kids during the day, and even fun nighttime events like dancing that were adorable and well thought out. It truly felt family-friendly, and there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained. The cutest was Santa pics with cookies and milk! The staff was attentive and kind throughout our stay, and honestly, that goes a long way. Great service can elevate an entire experience, and they really delivered on that front. That said, at nearly $1,000 per night during peak season, I did expect the facilities and rooms to be in better condition. The property has so much potential, but parts of it felt a bit rundown for the price point. The rooms could use some attention and deeper cleaning. I completely understand that this is a beachfront resort and sand is inevitable however we noticed quite a bit of sand throughout the room, even on the bed when it had been freshly made. I've stayed at other beach resorts where housekeeping was a bit more thorough in that regard. However nothing crazy but cleanliness is big in my book. One morning, there was also a cockroach at the coffee cart. My husband reported it right away to the front desk. The next few mornings the cart wasn't out, and I'm assuming they were addressing the situation, which I appreciate but it was still a bit off-putting. The on-site restaurants were good not extraordinary, but enjoyable and I felt the pricing there was fair considering it's a resort property. Overall, we had a great experience. The resort has incredible potential, and with a little more attention to upkeep especially considering the premium nightly rate it could easily be a five-star stay. The friendly staff and activities made a big difference.

I loved the great variety and alcohol free beverages. I appreciated the adult only pool as well as the happy vibe of the family pool. The world soccer cup was going on and the excitement could be felt in the on-site bar. The hammocks, the chairs in the water, the beautiful views and rooms, the grounds, beautiful. I loved the fun free E bike and used it every day. I was disappointed only by the fact that you couldn't take the kayaks and the paddle boards out into the ocean and wish that had been advertised better, but that would be my only even slightly negative of this fabulous experience. I wanted to do a shout out to again to Rochelle and Natalie for the care. They took when my fridge malfunctioned and ruined my items in the fridge to go above and beyond and replacing them. I did the paint night as well and loved connecting with other guests, while laughing about our lack of artistic ability. The teacher did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable and confident. I can truly say if I return tequila Largo, this would be where I would stay every time

Our daughter was recently married here and we did a full three-night resort buyout. While the property itself is absolutely stunning the nine months leading up to the wedding were incredibly frustrating. Communication was consistently poor--weeks would go by without any response. We were promised a Florida Resident Discount by two different general managers, but it was never honored. (This is a significant discount that we did not get as promised). In total, we went through four general managers, each making new promises that never materialized. Even weeks before the wedding, when we were trying to make final payment, we couldn't get a response. When I finally raised concerns with the newest manager, her response was, "I have like six brides all contacting me at once." With all due respect, that's not how you handle a time-sensitive, stressful situation for a bride and her family. To add to the confusion, their website still showed units available just days before our event--even though we had rented out the entire resort. The units themselves are not equipped as expected either--we had to go out and purchase basic items like dish towels, a dish scrubber, pot holders, and more. Their new lanai roof leaks and ruined a couple of the custom built items we thought were safely stored since it's a brand new structure. We unpacked the U-Haul when we got home and had cockroaches in a few of the things stored in the main house.

The rooms are very nice and ours had a walk out patio that could lead us outdoors to wander around the property as with most resorts. The gym has very modern equipment and is very well lit and cleaned and has large glass windows that allow the runners on machines to look out over the pool. There's a kids club that my daughter enjoyed doing projects and seeing other children at the resort. We chose to rent and drive from the airport because we had a trip to Key West planned. It's about a 90 minute drive from the airport so, an Uber would have been pretty costly. The valet takes care of your luggage and places it on a golf cart while you check in. The check in process took about 10 min. The front desk staff wasn't super friendly but they weren't rude either. They are supposed to offer you a drink, but we were not offered one by our receptionist while the couple next to us were offered one. No biggie. One thing to note: when you book, 50% is due. Then the other 50% is due thirty days prior to your arrival if you switch your source of payment, they charge you 10%. That same card has do be used for gratuity or add ons. Keep this in mind when you plan. Also, they put a $100/day hold on your card when you check in. After check in, the valet takes you on a tour of the property and then brings you to your room. You'll want to have cash for gratuity for the valet. The Bungalows themselves are gorgeous and offer an outdoor area and outdoor shower. I don't think the beach view bungalows are worth the upgrade. After that, you're on your own for the most part. They schedule your dinner, but other than Bogie and Bacall, they are pretty flexible. Fish Tales is the main restaurant. They offer a four course meal. The food was great. I wouldn't say "amazing" but really well done. The service is impeccable. This is an all inclusive bur gratuity isn't included. This was annoying and probably my biggest complaint. At the end of your meal you are handed a check of all you consumed with a recommend range of gratuity. You put in what you want to leave and sign it and leave. The issue is, it's hard to keep track of how much you're spending. So if you're on a budget, that can be a problem. At night everyone gathers around the tiki bar to enjoy the entertainment. There is only one bad and it fills quickly. The bartenders are also filling drink orders for the pool, and in some situations, Sea Seniors next door. You can also order food at the tiki bar if you choose. It's basic bar food and pizza but quite delicious. There is live entertainment daily from 11-11. There was trivia one night, and karaoke another. But there were no real events offered. In the mornings everyone heads to Fishtales for breakfast. There is a good variety of choices, including a buffet. They do not change it up at all though. So it can get a little boring day after day. They also have a mimosa and bloody Mary self serve bar. Pro tip, bring your own yeti and take two plastic cups of minosa and some ice and put them in your yeti for the pool. There are no drinks served until 11 am at the pool which was pretty odd in my opinion. The tiki bar also doesn't open until 11. It was off season but I will say that the pool didn't really get busy. There are two pools. Ok is a zen pool with little cabana beds. It's more quiet there but the main pool was described as the party pool and he was really chill too. There are about 12 pairs of lounge chairs and umbrellas and two big cabanas with couches. It didn't seem like there would be enough but it ended up to be plenty. We w They have servers come around the pool but it takes quite a bit to get your drinks so pack your patience. They also give you a bill at the end with what you ordered and suggested gratuity. It was easy to forget and just leave so I hated this process. I would have rather been charged a daily gratuity to be split between the staff but that's not what they want to do. Bogie and Bacalls: you get a free night there if you stay for more than 4 days. If you don't it's $300 plus gratuity. This was their high end restaurant and it wand spectacular! You get a ton of food and premium drinks. Expect to tip about $100 here. There is an indoor bar/speakeasy called Hemingways. This is not included in your stay. It's premium cocktails and liquor. There is also the "Family Room" which is a giant indoor/outdoor game room. There are no servers there. If you have a yeti, you could grab a few drinks from the tiki bar and keep it cold. There is a huge TV so we were able to watch the USA game on it with a few other guests. I chose to get a massage. It's a beautiful area of the park but there's no way that 50 min massage was worth $300 + 22% gratuity. They offer water activities. No one was using them. There are some other ads ons but very few guests chose to do them. Overall this is a wonderful, very chill spot and I can see why many guest come back year after year. I wish there were more dining and bar options, and more events offered. The cost was pretty high for what they offer. But we had an amazing time and I'm so glad we did it!

    - Disappointing Stay, Misleading Photos, Poor Response from Management…read more My wife and I stayed in the La Palma Suite for her birthday getaway. We chose this property based on the photographs shown online and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, our actual experience was very different. The biggest issue was that the room we received did not reflect the condition portrayed in the photos. While it appears the property may have been renovated years ago, much of what we found showed significant wear and deferred maintenance. Some of the issues we encountered included: * A bed that creaked loudly with virtually any movement, making it difficult to sleep. * Shower water that never became truly hot and had very low water pressure. * Mold or mildew buildup visible beneath the sink rim and inside the sink overflow opening. * Rust and corrosion on bathroom fixtures. * Upholstered furniture that was stained, worn, and damaged. * A closet door that would not properly close because it was off track. * Exterior areas that looked noticeably different from the photographs used in advertising. * General cleanliness and maintenance concerns throughout the suite. After reporting the bed issue, management acknowledged the problem and offered to move us to another room with a new mattress. We packed our belongings and prepared to move. However, before the move could occur, the replacement room was reassigned to another guest. We were later informed that because we had not responded quickly enough, the room was no longer available. What disappointed me most was not simply the condition of the room, but the lack of meaningful resolution after management recognized there was a problem. Once a room change was offered, I believe it should have been held until direct contact was made with the guest. To be fair, my wife and I still enjoyed our time in the Florida Keys and had a wonderful birthday celebration. The location is beautiful. However, the accommodations themselves did not meet the expectations created by the property's marketing photographs, and management's handling of the situation left us disappointed. I encourage future guests to look carefully at recent traveler photos and ask questions about the current condition of the specific room they are booking before making a reservation.
