Pretty simple. My work requires extensive travel. I stayed in room 426. I discovered a toilet seat that will not stay up at all. The replacement tank is too wide. What does this mean? It means that every male (possibly female) who ever urinated in this toilet did it with the seat down. If you stay in room 426, pad the seat with TP because you'll be sitting in 100 people's dried urine. True. Shoddy engineering replacement of a toilet...where else do they cut corners??? Outstanding experience. All aspects of this hotel were 5 stars. I could write a small book on how great everything was, but will keep it short. Customer service all around were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in great condition and very clean. Hot showers with good water pressure. Comfortable, clean beds. The room was quiet from the outside noise. The hot breakfast reminded me of the prepandemic days. More than enough parking. Complimentary wifi worked well. Everything was spot on and should be a model hotel for other hotels to learn from. The Hampton Inn is fairly new to the Lewiston area and the staff is very friendly. It is conveniently located along the river with a short distance to several local eateries on the Lewiston and Auburn side. It is a hot spot for when Balloon Festival comes to town because you can see the festivities from some of the rooms and its a quick 2 minute walk to the railroad park area where the festival is held. The interior has a modern decor, still looks new, and their morning continental breakfast is pretty good. I felt bad one morning for the cook on duty because his food delivery truck was late arriving and he had run out of some items. He was scrambling to keep his customers taken care of and very apologetic when a customer would ask if he had something that was usually available. You can tell it's a popular food fest when they run out of plates and switch to paper plates to ensure their customers are taken care of. Since I am from Maine paper plates do not bother me. I have only been in one room, the King Suite w/Wet Bar and the room is pretty good size. The desk is a bit odd in the center of the room but its much bigger than your typical hotel desk. For once the big screen TV is actually a big screen. Most places I been give you the 28" and I believe this one is 39" but it appears bigger than most other hotels. The bed was comfy, room was well cleaned by the staff and I did not encounter any problems while I was there. They have ample parking. If you plan to come to the area during festivals, parades or large events you want to book ahead of time as rooms fill up quick here and at the Hilton, located across the bridge diagonal to the Hampton. If you are a Hilton Honors member your stay at the Hampton Inn counts towards your points. read more

This hotel has definitely taken COVID precautions while still trying to keep options open to guests (I was told I could sign up for the pool or the gym during check-in), the room was clean and the door was sealed on arrival. It was exactly what I expected for the price and location. 5 stars is for the customer service though! The woman checking people in on 4/24/21 did a wonderful job and had a great attitude. I had another great experience with checkout this morning on 4/25/21. Maintaining engaged and welcoming customer service during the pandemic is tough and I felt like the staff exceeded my expectations. Thanks guys! read more

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Lewiston several times. We have always been so impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy and accommodated. They have an excellent hot breakfast and the pool and exercise room are clean and well stocked. During our last stay, our son forgot his iPad in the hotel room when we checked out. The housekeeping staff found it in the room. The front desk staff notified us as soon as possible and worked with us to return it quickly. The Hampton Inn is your best option for hotels in the Lewiston, Maine area. read more

Newer hotel with a local and environmental focus, this Hampton Inn offers the things you'd expect from the chain: free wifi, breakfast, sticky notes on your bedpost, etc. I believe the low pressure on the shower is due to this ecological focus of this partial location and thus I could live without a high pressure rinse. We slept very well and outside noise were not an issue during our stay. Where this particular location excels is in the friendliness of the staff--from check-in through breakfast, this staff is courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here during the fireworks and on our way onto visiting the rest of the New England area. read more

We stay here often because my boyfriend has paramedic classes in Lewiston. I've never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and the staff are always friendly. They recognize me whenever I check-in. They also have always accommodated my requests for early check-in or late check-out which is so appreciated. The hotel is located near some great restaurants- all walking distance away. Breakfast is included with stay but it is mediocre. Not a complaint, just my own tastes. Overall, I would recommend anyone to stay here. We'll be back! read more

A very clean, bright room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Overall a great place to stay when in the area. The only complaint I have is the curtains. I don't understand why the blackout curtains do not go across the windows. Only the sheer cover the window completely and the blind was stuck which at night it only seemed like a part of the window treatment. I don't want to be exposed to downtown Lewiston nor do I want to wake up to the sunlight blaring into my room. read more

I have waited until the end of my stay to do the review for obvious reasons.First let me state that I changed the dates of my stay through Booking.com. Couldn't get anywhere with them but hotel staff handled it with ease with 1 phone call. 6 nights and I'm very happy. Not sure how old the building is or if it is a remodeled building, but Hampton has done a very good job of keeping it looking new. Parking lot, lobby, sitting areas and the breakfast area are spotless. We were greeted with smiles and a "welcome to Lewiston" upon check-in. I booked two rooms on 2 different credit cards which can be a major problem with most places. (confuses the heck out of them for some reason.) We brought in our what seems like 37 suitcases, down a clean hallway (grabbed a couple fresh baked cookies) into our very clean 3rd floor rooms. Luckily our rooms overlooked the parking lot and the Androscoggin River instead of the parking garage on the other side. A/C was going so room wasn't musty and warm. All rooms have a micro, coffee maker(single serve) and mini fridge. The bed faces the window and Tv on top of dresser at a nice height. I hate when they put the TV on a dresser that's lower than the bed and you have to crick your neck to see it. Breakfasts are really good. there are waffle makers, hot oatmeal, fruits, cereals, breads,pastries, juices, milk and also every day there has been some sort of fresh made eggs. Either cheesy omelets or scrambled with either bacon or sausage. Lots of places to sit in the spacious sitting area. The hotel is situated 1 block off Main by the Veterans Memorial and the waterfall and not too far from restaurants and such. I have two minor complaints. We're here for a week and brought a lot of clothes. There is only 2 small drawers on the TV/ micro cabinet and a smaller drawer on the nightstands. There is a small coat closet but the clothes rod is too close to back wall and clothes rub on wall. Otherwise love the room and love the big step-in shower (with shelves for your soaps) . Will definetly stay here again on our next trip. read more

We stayed at this hotel in October 2014 for about a week the first time and decided to stay again, this time for 2 nights. That should say something when there are always a ton of hotels to choose from! Location is great! Don't be fooled by the old buildings in Lewiston. Quiet, ample parking, friendly staff, bars within walking distance (Gritty's is just across the bridge) ,clean, and accommodating! Always a good breakfast spread! Our check in was fantastic. Whoever you had on Thursday 3/14 around 2pm was so amazing and kind. She noticed we had a bottle of wine with us and offered us wine glasses and a bottle opener, and she was able to put all of our reservations in close rooms on the same floor, she really went above and beyond. The reason for the 3 star review is for the person who checked in our friends around 5pm. We understood that our 20 year old friend could not book the room himself, but the person staying with him was 23, so we asked politely if we could just switch the reservation. We also explained that we were all coming from New York and Rhode Island for our friends funeral, she still told our friends they could not stay here and had to leave. This was absurd because I myself work in a hotel in New York City and I know first hand she could have easily switched that reservation and accommodated our friends, but no, they had to go home and were able to attend our passing friends funeral. read more

Visiting family in the area we decided to give this Hampton a try and were thrilled with cleanliness, staff and location. Plenty of parking, beautiful room (we were upgraded at no additional cost to a suite) and free wi-fi and continental breakfast. We'll gladly stay anytime we visit the area! read more

I've been to Lewiston many times but this was my first visit to the new Hampton Inn. It was a last minute trip to visit an elderly relative. The room was spotless, quiet, and well lit. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom well lit and the room darkening shades made for a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was ample and had many options including fresh blueberries and strawberries which I had with yogurt. The highlight of my trip was the staff assistance. Although the hotel was very full with incoming Bates College freshmen and their parents, the service was exemplary. I needed to make a stop to pick up flowers and Athelie printed up the directions and told me other locations nearby to find things I needed and calculated the distance between the stops and the best route to Hospice House in Auburn. She shared that a family member had gotten wonderful care there last year and I so appreciated hearing that from a stranger. I will stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended for both business and leisure guests. read more

A brand new hotel, with all the shining fixtures that implies, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Decent location, with free parking and walking distance to a couple of decent restaurants. Because the beds are also brand new, but designed for long years of hotel service, they're currently rock hard, but that will change with time. The biggest problem, by far, is the water pressure. It's only moderate in the sink, but the shower, even on its most powerful setting, is woeful. If you like sleeping with your window open, avoid a room that overlooks the parking lot, as they have a very bright LED art installation that's on all night, and also acts as a hangout area for smokers and others seeking loud nighttime conversations. Oh, and the hotel does not provide earplugs. Free breakfast was a nice spread of hot and cold, but they only offer 24 hours of free wi-fi. Overall, your best bet for a hotel in the area, but it could be better, and they desperately need better plumbing. read more
