    The quality of the room was not great. Old beat up furniture and a hair in the shower. We called for towels and were told someone would be up as soon as possible but no one ever came. The staff who answered the phone sounded confused about providing towels in the first place so I wasn't surprised when they didn't arrive. The tv remote has no guide button so you have to watch the tv guide when you first turn on the tv to decide what channel to turn it to. We stayed here as a staycation. It was cool for a brief stay but not somewhere I'd book again. The quality is just not there. The pool area was cool. The free breakfast was blah but my kid just loves making the waffles so I'm glad they had that. There were tons of restaurants within walking distance and the front desk provided a list/map of nearby places that was helpful.The place just needs a little update. I did digital check-in/check out and card which was seamless.

    Right from when we checked in the staff was very nice staff. They were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is okay, not much to choose from and included powdered eggs, frozen, small, premade omelettes, bacon, waffles, pastries the potatoes were tasty and not fake. They even set out cookies at night, so when we got back, we had a nice sweet treat. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. All in all, we enjoyed staying there. Glad we didn't have any of the other issues people posted on their views.

    Remote that's not disinfected

    Came here for the weekend and I was very disappointed. My partner is a Hilton member so we always stay at these hotels and have stayed at several since COVID. Every place we have been to has the Lysol stickers attached to the corner of the door so when the guest opens it they "break the seal" so to speak. We got moved to two different rooms and neither had the seal. When we got inside the remote did not have the Lysol sticker on it either saying it was disinfected it just had the sticker next to it with a wet wipe. That to me is a sign that they aren't taking this seriously and aren't cleaning the rooms thoroughly. Then in the shower there was some else's hair all over the shower curtain and in the tub. I was disgusted, this definitely means they didn't clean this room good but it was par and we had already changed rooms twice. I was saddened because of this is their policy to make people feel more protected they should be following it. When I spoke to the front desk they said they checked the list and it was on there for a room that had been cleaned and they weren't sure why the appropriate measures weren't taken. They also rounded up 1 Penny when charging the card. I've literally never heard of that.

    Good Hotel. Lots of USB Chargers for my devices. Nice and Clean. Tammy was Super Helpful on check-in and went way out of her way to make everything work out for us. It's a reminder of how professional hotels can be instead of the amateur sh_tshow I keep running into at Airbnb's. I recommend this Hotel. #BusinessClass

    Bathroom counter needs work

    Old and smells like a mix of cigarettes and mold. A/C unit in king suite was loud, sofa looked like it came straight from the second hand store. Sofa was dirty and itchy. Decorative pillows on sofa was torn as was a bath towel that was stained with black stuff. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No house keeping service unless specifically asked to front desk clerk. Shouldn't have Hilton name affiliation. I would not recommend even for a single night and will never stay at this location. As seen in pictures even gym was not clean.

    Customer service was great checking in room seemed clean. When we went to get in bed around 11pm I pulled back the comforter/duvet to reveal blood on the under side. I called the desk and was brought another duvet cover, not the comforter just the duvet. Absolutely unacceptable.

We booked the suite as the kids fight over sleeping in the same bed, also made sure to book the queen beds as 2 grown adults in a double is a little snug. Came in a little late, 940ish pm, also told the hotel I would be coming in late via the app. Checked in, all they had was an ADA room left, not ideal, but I can handle it. Then after unpacking the wife had me double check the bed sizes. Not Queens, DOUBLES. I surely didn't spend $600 a night to sleep in Double Beds. I could have gone down the street for 1 King and a trundle with twins for $400 a night and we would have been more comfortable. Reached out to the manager a couple of times, received a call back offering to credit me $100 total (not per night but total on a $2000 folio). They also waived my parking fee ($15 total) and gave me 1,000 Bonvoy points. I appreciate the fact that they are trying to find a solution for me, but the offer is not acceptable. To make matters worse the AGM even commented on the bed size. She said that they are "Hotel Queens". What they HECK are "Hotel Queens"? Where do you buy sheets for "Hotel Queens". I spoke to someone who has worked at Marriott for 20 years and she has NEVER heard of a "Hotel Queen". My guess is a "Hotel Queen" is a Double bed, because I have stayed in other Marriott properties and they will actually list the bed in the room as a "Double". If the Hotel would have just called it a Double, I would have found a different hotel. I called the hotel again, no call back, I called corporate, they told me the matter was closed and since the hotel took care of it, there is nothing corporate can do. DO NOT STAY HERE if you have more than 2 people in your party.

It was at the end of the hall, so we didn't have anyone bordering our bedroom wall and the living room was a good buffer zone between our bedroom & the room that bordered us on the other side. It's quite roomy with the bedroom separated by French doors. The bedroom has its own TV, a dresser, side tables, a large closet & separate AC. The living room area has a desk, coffee table, side table, sofa bed, another large closet, its own TV & separate AC. Microwave & coffee maker, etc are hidden in their own cabinet above the refrigerator. Bathroom was a decent size with double doors opening into it. Minus stars for water pressure being a little weak, scratchy sheets, some electrical outlets not working and overall condition of the room. It could really use a new coat of paint on the walls, cabinets & doors and replacing the hardware on the inside of the bathroom door. Hubby thought the TVs could be updated. Free breakfast selection is decent...eggs, meat, potato, cereal, yogurt, bakeries, fruit, oatmeal & stations for DIY pancakes or waffles. The employee who works the area is very sweet. We were there for 9 days/8 nights. They have a sign at the front desk that says rooms will be cleaned every 3 days. Just in case, on the third day we requested that our room be cleaned. We were out the whole day & came back to a room that HAD NOT been cleaned. The next morning we requested at the front desk again that it be cleaned. One of the employees said we would have to wait another day, but then another employee said it would be taken care of. That day our room was finally cleaned.

Will you find an occasional hair in the shower? Hopefully. But there items are hardly a concern when you have one HUGE advantage over the rest of the competition. I know what you are thinking, and NO, the advantage is not that the hotel is unbelievably convenient for Mariners and Padres spring training. Yes, the Peoria sports complex is right across the street; a baseball fan's dream come true. While it is true that myself and my family religiously go to the Peoria La Quinta every spring (and just happen to go to some Mariners spring training) I want to make myself very clear. This is not why we stay at the Peoria La Quinta. There is only one reason why we make this annual pilgrimage, and it is a doozy: The World Famous Peoria La Quinta Continental Breakfast. There are not enough words to extoll the virtues of this, so let me tantalize you with just a smattering. Tiny box of Fruit Loops? Yes. Plain Yoplait Yogurt? It's there. Banana? Always. Small slightly overripe Red Delicious apple? Every time. Waffles? Best you've ever made. Bacon? You'll need to fight a Padres fan for it. Sticky tables? Never disappoints. Napkins? How about all the napkins you can handle in a morning. And all this doesn't even scratch the surface. There is no better way to start your day, and for this reason I will keep coming back to the La Quinta in Peoria time and time again. Five stars.
