Stayed here many times and with the hotel being newly renovated, I was pretty impressed with how the rooms looked. My bed was very comfortable and the room stayed cool during the hot summer days. Only bad part was the complementary breakfast and yes, I know it's complementary was absolutely horrible. Seemed to be great choices, but the food was just not good at all. Pools of water in the eggs, gravy that was basically a sausage clump soup, im sure Hampton inn doesn't expect their breakfast to be like that. But due to the rooms and the location with all the great restaurants around, I would stay here again. read more

Two-night stay for 3 adults. Room was clean when we arrived, the staff was friendly, but we had some issues with room service. They never came to clean the room or make up the beds on day 2, and since we used points, we were supposed to receive complimentary snacks/drinks. These items were there when we arrived, but never got refilled. Our room also included a buffet breakfast which is served off the lobby in the "Breakfast Area". On our visit, there were a lot of football fans staying here, as it's fairly close to the Cardinals' stadium. The rooms here are comfortable and predictable for a Comfort Inn. We are diamond members and we're taking our small dog (always do) and mother (always do) wevMUST have adjoining rooms...it's a must. So I called and was assured that we would be accommodated. My husband called the property directly to book the reservations and we got to Arizona from CA and low and behold- no adjoining rooms in the buildings to accommodate our little dog...BTW we do not leave him in the room unsupervised. So we spent another $500.00 for more rooms (our original 2 rooms were on points so essentially EARNED except the dog fee. We got in from CA tired with my 83cyo mother to find this glaring mistake that THEY would not make right WE had to! Very dissatisfied! On top of THAT when we got to the room! THE ADJOINING DOORS DIDNT WORK! The locks were broken so we might as well have had regular rooms. Whew a nightmare! My husband is a truck driver so will continue with choice networks but we will not fir family vacations. The breakfast buffet was mediocre! And eggs were cold. read more

The quality of the room was not great. Old beat up furniture and a hair in the shower. We called for towels and were told someone would be up as soon as possible but no one ever came. The staff who answered the phone sounded confused about providing towels in the first place so I wasn't surprised when they didn't arrive. The tv remote has no guide button so you have to watch the tv guide when you first turn on the tv to decide what channel to turn it to. We stayed here as a staycation. It was cool for a brief stay but not somewhere I'd book again. The quality is just not there. The pool area was cool. The free breakfast was blah but my kid just loves making the waffles so I'm glad they had that. There were tons of restaurants within walking distance and the front desk provided a list/map of nearby places that was helpful.The place just needs a little update. Right from when we checked in the staff was very nice staff. They were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is okay, not much to choose from and included powdered eggs, frozen, small, premade omelettes, bacon, waffles, pastries the potatoes were tasty and not fake. They even set out cookies at night, so when we got back, we had a nice sweet treat. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. All in all, we enjoyed staying there. We stayed at this hotel for a baseball tournament, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. It felt as though we were placed in the worst room on the property. Upon arrival, we noticed the shower curtain was tied up with a washcloth, and when we untied it, we found two hairs--appearing to be pubic--in the folds of the curtain. This raised serious concerns about cleanliness. At night, it was extremely difficult to sleep due to noise from guests socializing at the outdoor seating area directly beneath our window. While those guests likely didn't realize they were disturbing anyone, conversations continued until around 11 p.m. Even more disruptive, people were back outside talking as early as 3 a.m. the following morning. We brought up the noise issue with the front desk the next afternoon. The attendant was kind and listened to our concerns, offering a $10 gift card for the hotel's gift shop. I suggested the possibility of removing or securing the outdoor chairs by 10 p.m. to minimize nighttime noise, and she agreed that it sounded like a good idea. Unfortunately, the next evening, the chairs were still out past 11 p.m., and once again, we were kept awake by the sound of chairs scraping on the concrete and loud conversations. My husband contacted the front desk again, only to be told that management would not allow the chairs to be removed--and no alternative solution was offered. We endured another sleepless night as a result. This will be our first and last stay here. If you value a clean room and a good night's sleep, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised by this Hampton Inn for the most part. I hadn't stayed in one for many years and was nervous, but we needed to be in the area for a birthday party. The property was well maintained, our room was clean, and the bed was decently comfortable. The shower got hot enough and the pressure was pretty good. Although we didn't eat the complementary breakfast, I did walk through the area and there was a decent enough selection for a quick breakfast. The fitness center was also pretty well stocked- 3 treadmills, an eliptical, a couple of stationary bikes, a spin bike, a cable machine, and a full set of dumbbells up to 50s. The only real downside was that apparently you have to schedule housekeeping to come clean your room- which we weren't told during check in. Luckily, the cleaner was nice enough to give us fresh towels and emptied our trash and gave us trash can liners. Checking in and out was a breeze and the cost was fair. read more

We've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Peoria a few times and it's been very pleasant each time. This last visit there was an issue with some strange smell in our room after we were gone for a while, fine when we checked in but a few hours later it was strong. We went to the front desk and they changed our room no problem, very friendly front desk help. She gave us a choice of floors which was nice. Not sure why other reviews are so hard on the staff, all of them were very friendly and helpful to us. The breakfast was OK, except for the bacon one morning. It was like cardboard, I don't think it was meat, or at least not pork. Other mornings the breakfast was fine. Anyway we stay there when we visit relatives in town and will continue to do so. read more

Hampton Peoria/Glendale We love staying at Hampton Inns. This one is not all up to usual standards. The first room we got had a door lock that didn't work, wouldn't let us in, so they gave us a different room. The second room had a frustrating HVAC unit. Like most Hampton Inns, the original control panel on the unit had previously been deactivated and replaced by a wall mount electronic unit across the room. The electronic unit had instructions that it had energy saving motion sensors, which shut it off if nobody moved in the room for 10 minutes. All well and good to save energy in an empty room, but not so good if a guest is sitting at the desk writing on-line hotel reviews for more than 10 minutes. We "shut off" the system because it was already a comfortable temp for us. Screen on electronic control said "off." After 10 minutes, the electronic control went off. Without electronic guidance, the HVAC unit came on and blew cold air on the person sitting at the desk. Person gets up and goes to try again to shut the system off. HVAC shuts down, only for 10 minutes. Person goes back to on-line work. REPEAT. Not a good look for a guest writing customer reviews of a hotel. Our first day there, my wife put a "do not disturb" sign on our door until 10 AM when we were ready to go out around town for the day. She removed the sign and expected hotel staff to clean our room while we were out. We returned later that day and found our room had not been cleaned, not even clean towels. The front desk told us that their cleaning staff leaves after 10 AM, so they couldn't clean our room until the next day. She did give us clean towels. For the rest of our stay, we had to watch for the cleaning staff every morning and ask them to clean our room while we would be out. Not something we normally have to do at other hotels. The bathroom had a rolling door that is very hard to move on it's track, especially for a woman. The auto-shut feature on the room door would slam the door unless a guest gently closed it. The Ice machine on our floor didn't work when we arrived, but they got that fixed after 3 days. The key card reader on their gate to the outdoor swimming pool area didn't work. You couldn't get there by following the direction sign in the lobby. To access the pool area, guests had to exit the hotel on the end opposite and walk around to the pool area where a gate card reader was still working. And then there is the problem of pool hours. I'm a retired gentleman. Not having a 9-5 job, I don't always sleep "regular" hours. I go to bed early and get up early, but if I want to use their hot tub/spa pool at 4 AM, it's closed. The pool doesn't have staff, or even video cameras. What different does it make if a guest wants to access their facility on the guest's schedule? Not a good plan to keep this guest happy. Their complementary breakfast is pretty good food and well-prepared, but not up to the quality level we've found at other Hampton Inns. We like that they always have meat and eggs along with waffles, muffins, oatmeal, etc. My wife is picky about coffee, and theirs was not up to her expectations, not as good coffee as other Hampton Inns. She is also picky about other foods. She said the oatmeal was too runny, too much water. Personally I liked the buttery cheese omelets, they were good, and so was the sausage. The staff if warm and friendly, but sometimes struggling. Attention to detail was lacking all over the hotel. And it could use an upgrade. Like many American hotels, this one doesn't provide rooms with a urinal for men to pee, and doesn't provide a bidet for personal cleanliness. Other than that, it was all good. Came here for the weekend and I was very disappointed. My partner is a Hilton member so we always stay at these hotels and have stayed at several since COVID. Every place we have been to has the Lysol stickers attached to the corner of the door so when the guest opens it they "break the seal" so to speak. We got moved to two different rooms and neither had the seal. When we got inside the remote did not have the Lysol sticker on it either saying it was disinfected it just had the sticker next to it with a wet wipe. That to me is a sign that they aren't taking this seriously and aren't cleaning the rooms thoroughly. Then in the shower there was some else's hair all over the shower curtain and in the tub. I was disgusted, this definitely means they didn't clean this room good but it was par and we had already changed rooms twice. I was saddened because of this is their policy to make people feel more protected they should be following it. When I spoke to the front desk they said they checked the list and it was on there for a room that had been cleaned and they weren't sure why the appropriate measures weren't taken. Our check in was very easy, no hassles, neither one of us are physically challenged, but we did stay in a room appropriate for someone in a wheelchair. And I noticed how many grab bars, etc. though I am not the person to comment on those accommodations. I do have to say that the room was very nice. It was clean TV worked wonderfully lighting was good. Bed was about a 4/5 -I am a fan of the pillows! Breakfast was much better than most places, and it was extremely clean, we were probably the first or second "customers " as we had a very early day. If we stay again, we know that they have a nice big long table, so family and friends can come and play games in the lobby!! Check out was just as simple, I like to actually go to the desk because that way it allows for the hotel cleaning staff to know that we've checked out. read more

Christy checked us in this time. She was super sweet and I truly appreciated her kind words to us. Regarding the hotel. I will have to say there is an odor in the lobby at times. Old and smells like a mix of cigarettes and mold. A/C unit in king suite was loud, sofa looked like it came straight from the second hand store. Sofa was dirty and itchy. Decorative pillows on sofa was torn as was a bath towel that was stained with black stuff. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No house keeping service unless specifically asked to front desk clerk. Shouldn't have Hilton name affiliation. I would not recommend even for a single night and will never stay at this location. As seen in pictures even gym was not clean. read more

We stayed at the Hampton in last night. Face coverings notice on the door. Multiple people ignoring the requirements even the night staff! The man on duty actually argued with my husband that no one was required to wear a mask. The most important thing is that there's no bed bugs that I saw. And I checked diligently before I let my significant other put down his bags. Our AC went out and we were forced to head to a hotel for the night. They accept dogs, which was the main selling point. The room is real old fashioned. Got a giant window unit AC. Some nice 70s patterned furniture and shades. It's clean. It's definitely not as "luxurious" as the last hotel I stayed at. There's some work being done on the room next door and a some minor "work" areas all around. It's not great. But it's clean and the staff is nice. I wouldn't say it's worth the $100 a night. This was not what I expected from the Hilton line, but I guess they can't all be gems...and this one was far from it. From the lack of friendliness and professionalism from the staff (with the exception of Aaliyah, who was part of the housekeeping staff, and the blonde lady who worked the front desk overnight). The other front desk staff either avoided looking up from their phones, or gave short, one word answers to avoid follow up questions. The location itself is in serious need of renovations. The carpet was stained throughout the building (including the room), and the hallways smelled musty and dirty. The room was dusty and the artwork on the walls were actually cracked and starting to mold. There was mold in the corners of the bathroom, and the grout was missing along with bathtub and wall. The water pressure was terrible, and the shower head was leaking and cracked. There was no liner in the shower, so the floor was soaked every time we showered. The fan in the bathroom didn't work, so the bathroom got filled with steam, which took about 40 minutes to clear out after every shower. The towels looked as though they were washed without bleach, so they were still dirty...ALL of them. The elevator was also dirty, and made loud creaking sounds when operating, and the garbage near the elevators and outside the property was constantly overflowing. One day we took the stairs, and a few of the fire doors looked like someone tried to kick them in, and they were severely cracked. Lastly, door to the bathroom was heavy and hard to push closed. Overall, it just looks and feels as if no one cares. Had I known this before I booked this location, I would've never stayed there. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

Brought a (large) Dasani water in from CircleK - went to the pantry to look for laundry soap and was then flagged down at the elevator asking if he would like me to charge that to my room. Wait, what?? He then reminded me that they don't give out free waters. I told him again that I brought the (large bottle) of water in from outside. Talked to MOD. What a joke - very strange experience and will not come back, even though the rooms are nice. May start building up my Marriott status after this so I have options. read more

My wife and I have a tradition of going to Spring Training and staying at the Glendale-Peoria Hampton Inn. We have always been happy with their service which includes a complimentary breakfast bar. We love the convenience of the hotel as it is walking distance to the Peoria Sports Complex. This past Spring training (March 14 to be exact) we flew from San Diego to Phoenix. We landed and rented a car and had no difficulties. When we attempted to check in, we were told they have overbooked, our reservation was cancelled and they made arrangements for us to be housed at another Hampton Inn 10 miles away. Certainly not walking distance to the ball field. My wife made the reservations in January and had called a few weeks after that to modify the reservation. All was well at that time. Imagine our surprise when they told us our reservations had been cancelled. We received zero notification even though our email address and phone number had been given. Had they contacted us, we might have found suitable alternatives or maybe even cancelled the trip. Due to the generosity of a gentlemen who was standing in line with us, he gave us his room. I appreciate his selfless act but the entire stay was marred by Hampton Inn's poor practice. The final insult to injury is our check in day of March 14 is my wife's birthday. We were both looking forward to spending a pleasant time at Spring Training but Hampton Inn decided to spoil it for us. For this reason, neither will I ever stay at this facility again nor do I recommend anybody else stay there. read more

Stayed here Friday night, 4/30. Decent location to a nice dinner and a place to relax. Other than that and the comfortable bed, it was a crappy stay. The area in general was noisy and you could hear the guests in the adjoining and above rooms moving around and going about their business. The morning I got up to leave, I found a couple long black hairs in the shower (hadn't used it the night before and I have short brown hair). Also in the shower was a used bar of soap and empty shampoo bottle from the previous occupant. On top of that, the shower didn't even work. When I brought this up to the clerk at check out, he cracked jokes and didn't take the complaints seriously, stating "the situation needs some levity." Very poor professionalism on his part. I doubt I will stay here again and I caution anyone else about staying here as well. read more

Stayed here while I was on business. Overall this was an ok stay. Probably would have been a better review but had some service issues. This is your typical Hampton Inn and was comfortable. They are doing construction but really no issues with that. Rooms are in good condition and are comfortable. Service was hit and miss. I had some packages sent to the hotel and they located them quickly but took some time to get them. Then was lead back to the room that held them and was told "there they are. Close the door behind you when you are done." The guy literally left because he had more important things to do. Not a big deal but just left an impression. If it hadn't been for that, would have added a few stars. read more

This is the only Hampton Inn that doesn't honor its own Hilton Honors Rewards program. All other Hampton Inns greet their arriving guest by thanking them for their loyalty, and offering guests free bottled water to take to their rooms. This one doesn't. The general manager told me it was up to the individual franchisees to decide whether or not to honor their Rewards programs. They decided that, because economic reasons, they would not offer free bottled water to their most loyal guests. What good is it to be loyal to them if they're not loyal to me. As a long-standing Hampton Inns customer, I will not patronize this location in the future. read more

I booked a room for my brother so he could attend my nephew's baseball classic in Peoria, AZ. I booked 4 nights one of which I fully covered with Hilton Honors hotel points. The other nights would be paid for by my mother. I left clear instructions that my credit card on file was not to be charged for any hotel charges and that my mother's credit card should be charged. Imagine my surprise when I received my credit card statement with a $570 charge for the hotel. I brought the matter to the attention of the hotel manager who told me to get with my credit card company because maybe there was an error. I mistakenly thought that he charged one of my AMEX cards in particular but yet he charged another one of my American Express cards. Be that as it may, the issue here is that he tried to blame me for his mistake and then when I asked him why he did it he told me that the card that my mother presented when she checked in was declined so he was forced to use one of my credit cards on file to settle the bill. Now my mother doesn't overspend nor does she not pay her credit card bill do there's no way her credit card was declined. Later she called the hotel directly with he credit card company on the line and the CC company confirmed that the Hampton Inn NEVER even ran her card for the charges in question. Again the hotel lied. Although the hotel manager reversed the charges to my credit card he only did so after I called the Hilton Honors diamond desk to file a complaint. Then to add insult to injury he refused to compensate me by adding some extra Hilton Honors points to my account for the gross mistake and inconvenience he caused me. HIlton Honors customers beware, while the hotel may be located in a prime area if you run into issues with billing do not expect them to be handled swiftly, appropriately and with integrity. read more

I have been to some really nice Hampton Inns before, but this is not one of them. The rooms are okay-- not super spacious but not cramped. The counter staff that I spoke with were all very friendly and helpful, but the manager sounds like kind of a dick. I shall explain: There is a bar/club/restaurant next to the hotel. During my stay, the bar sponsored a Jordan Sparks concert (I had to ask who she is, but apparently, she has something to do with some season of american idol) and a P Diddy concert. When I got back from a looong work day, the walls of the hotel were vibrating with bass from the concert. I went to down to the front desk: Could they move my room to one less noisy? Unfortunately, they had 10 calls in 10 minutes for guests wanting to know the same thing. The gals at the front desk were overwhelmed and called on the manager for help. Now, I understand that the hotel has nothing to do with the noise level-- they are not responsible for the bar next door. *However,* a good manager would have told the front desk folks to apologize profusely, offer to walk over to the bar to have a chat with the event person, and hand out earplugs by the bucketful. This manager's response? "Let the guests call the cops." Wow. So, not the utmost concern for the guests' well-being. Also, the hotel lobby and elevators smell strongly like a sewer. Rooms did not, thank goodness. Still, there is free internet access and continental breakfast in the morning-- the happy reasons to stay in Hampton's. read more

Chose to stay here for the night because of free continental breakfast & pet friendly amenities. The room was a good size, there was 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, microwave, tv, and small table. The bed was comfy and clean. I liked that the hotel was conveniently placed around a lot of restaurants. PF Changs, the Elephant Bar, a bar, and some other restaurants were less than a 5 minute walk away. My only complaint would be that the room was hot. We had to lower the AC to 70 degrees to get it at a bearable temperature. I'm from Vegas and I'm used to hot, but not THAT hot. read more

What a disappointment! I've been staying at Hampton Inns for years and have always enjoyed my visits. This time was a disaster. First of all, in spite of the numerous stickers and signs throughout the property, touting their "covid cleanliness", the in-room coffee maker was covered in dust and there were long black hairs in the bathtub. I guess you can't get the covid from dirt and hair. Early next morning I received a phone call from the front desk announcing my credit card had been declined. This turned out to be a mistake and was quickly resolved, however, that didn't stop housekeeping from attempting to barge in a few minutes later since they had been informed I had been "checked out". This was disconcerting, to say the least. Due to the covid hysteria, they no longer offer breakfast as I have come to expect. I stayed at the Hampton Inn Las Vegas South in August 2020 and they served breakfast behind plexiglass shields served by masked up employees. It was fine. Not so here. Cheap stale bagels and overripe bananas were their solution. When I posted my review their response was defensive and customer shaming. Suffice it to say, I will never stay at a Hilton property again. Conrad himself is rolling in his grave. The service has deteriorated to an abysmal level with covid as the excuse. From now on whenever possible, I will stay at locally-owned, family hotels/motels if they even exist anymore. Great Location, Friendly enough staff, Clean enough Room. Noisy overnight, tough to sleep with all the noise. Had my CC lifted 20 minutes after I checked in and the card was locked until I arrived at the hotel to check in and 10 minutes after check in. pretty sketchy. Will never stay here again read more
