Comfy bed and 70s couch with blue stand! Love it

This is in a small town, older hotel but hey! It's a Hilton. Interesting 70s retro look but comfy bed, WiFi works, nice staff, stocked pantry , all the right stuff. Had to meet a customer south of Raleigh and wanted a hampton so opted for this to save on budget and be closer to where I need to be in the am . Not the most updated part of town but fit the bill for my stays so I can reach my "stays" quota and get back to diamond! Clean, right at $100, big tv and I'm a happy guy. Breakfast was standard hampton and good coffee. If you can take the blast to the past, this is good for me! Recommend!

I enjoyed a comfortable stay at this location. Although this was an older Hampton Inn, they had recently gone through renovations and the rooms were updated. I stayed in a room with two queens and it was spacious and clean. There were usb connections near the bed and also near the desk. There were plenty of towels available and the shower pressure was sufficient. The breakfast was typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Brandon at the front desk was very helpful and did a great job of taking care of our group.

This is a prototypical Hampton Inn located right off Interstate 40. Be careful because you can not see the hotel from NC42 and there is no signage from NC42. Turn right just after the McDonalds (first right off the Interstate) onto a small side street and then go down about 1/2 mile and you will see the road that the hotel is located on.

Room was cute and clean. I was not familiar with the brand of hair and body care products they use (Not Soap Radio) but they smell great and work well. Bed was comfortable enough and there were plenty of pillows. Hopefully particular to our room, there were a couple of minor issues in the bathroom - the toilet was one that "rocks and clanks" when sitting or standing, and the water comes out of the faucet sink at a startling full blast if you're not careful.

She told me my room had no view and offered to find me one with a view. And I eventually got a different room. I enjoyed the view and the cleanliness of the room. My room had a full sized refrigerator, a dish washer and a kitchenette with a microwave and a glass stove. It also had a little sofa, a writing desk, a tv, a king bed and a shower stall with a toilet in the bathroom. There is a wardrobe and a luggage holder. The lady cleaning my room also did a great job. Francine did a wonderful job cleaning my room. I appreciate all the eork they do. The breakfast area is standard to homewood suites. Has a variety of food- cereal station, fruits on some days that's already washed and cut. And sausages, hash browns, potatoes and bacon on different days. There is always hot coffee, regular and decaf, as well as tea, orange juce, apple juice and water available. Also, the condition of the rooms are better than some of the other hotels in the same area Overall, a wonderful stay. I will be back.

However, pay attention to your bill on checkout. The system did not automatically apply the credit and I had to have them correct it on checkout. The lady at the desk was super apologetic and did not understand why the system did apply it automatically. She quickly applied it and all was good. The breakfast at the Park Bar & Grill on site here was ok. Even though they have it buffet style, you can ask them to make you eggs or omelettes your way, so be advised, you don't have to eat the powered eggs they have on the buffet, you can get fresh eggs! The location in Cary was perfect for me. It was close to the city close to my work location in Cary, and was right next to a shopping center with everything you might need. I would definitely stay here again!

Our room was a king with a sofa bed and it also had a mini fridge. It was quiet all night long. The location was great as we were in perfect proximity to Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. It's a great central location. As gold members, we were granted $15 in credit each day for breakfast. For $10 a day, you can enjoy cereals, breads, and other dry foods. For the additional $5, you can eat eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. We were happy to get this credit as it saved us a lot on breakfast in the mornings. The only silly part was that it was about $3 extra for pancakes or waffles. I've been to hotels all across the world and that's always included in the continental price. Odd and something to be aware of if you have littles, but didn't really matter to us. The gym and indoor pool were nice for the level of hotel. I'd recommend!

The Umstead Hotel - I still NEED to know the brand of hand lotion in the ladies' room -- so calming! Next time I visit I'l be booking a spa treatment for sure.

After my spa visit I headed to the pool and was seated in a spot with an umbrella, as requested. Unfortunately, the umbrella was broken and I had to move myself to a spot with a functioning umbrella. Next, we ordered drinks, which we both were enjoying until the staff walked by and swiped up my unfinished drink. He didn't ask if I wanted anything, just silently took it and kept moving. My husband decided to keep his drink in hand for the rest of his, and when he was done the guy drove by and snatched his up. He didn't stop to ask if we needed anything else. I was planning to have drinks and lunch by the pool, but after that moment I decided I was done with the Umstead pool and left.

On the wedding day, they even steamed my dress as a surprise, which I really appreciated. Our wedding coordinator was organized and incredibly helpful in managing the timeline, making sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule. One thing to note is that the venue is fairly strict about outside vendors not on their preferred list. Thankfully, our photographer already had liability insurance, but there were a few extra personal touches we had to forgo due to these guidelines. The complimentary suite included in our package was a highlight--spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for getting ready with friends and family. The bed was very comfortable, though the multi-head shower took some getting used to. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches: handwritten notes, complimentary champagne and chocolates at check-in, and another bottle of champagne along with a small piece from the Michael Aram Anemone collection on our wedding night--such a special gesture. Food for both the cocktail hour and reception met our expectations, and many of our guests had great things to say about the quality and hospitality. Our signature cocktails--the Old Fashioned and espresso martini--were solid and well-made. Overall, they truly took great care of us and helped make our wedding day feel special.
