The amiable is a gas station that might turn people off but it is clean small. They use gloves wash their hands. They're on point. Don't judge its book by the cover. It is worth it. They definitely give you more meat than the cart locations in Hicksville and Bellrose. It can go from dead to 15 people deep in 30 seconds. My goto is the chicken and rice (not a fan of the frozen block of lamb all these places have). Below was my great review. Now here's what happened the other day that made me change it. I went yesterday and the guy cooking (MY FOOD) was coughing and spitting in the sink next to the griddle. He then rinses his mouth, spits out the water and other stuff, then takes out a nasty hanky from his pocket and wipes his nose first, then his hands. Then walks back over to the griddle. My friend told me to give this place a try-it's the go to place when she is too tired to cook for her three teenage boys after a long day at work. First of the it located in the back of the quik mart so you might miss it. No seats, most of the people ordering were truckers doing take away. I ordered the chicken/lamb combo with rice and salad. The portions are large-shared the meal with my husband. The flavor was spot on and the sauces were excellent. For 7 dollars you can't go wrong-far exceeds drive through McDonald's. "Chicken over rice" I have been to this spot maybe 30 times in the last 4 months. I really like the place and the food they put out. Butttt it is so hit or miss to the point im better off going back to noors food in huntington. The size and amount of onions and peppers that go into the chicken is literally disgusting. The pieces are so big that they do not even cook down and the texture is awful. It completley ruins the whole plate, idk why they dont offer it as toppings like other spots. Ok so I'm a fan of Hamza & Madina (not as my first choice but a fan nevertheless) - so I expected a bit more when I heard of a local shop of theirs. What I did not expect was that it would be located inside a gas station. So I was definitely thrown off and uncertain. I got the lamb and rice platter (as usual) with extra white sauce and two lines of hot sauce -- btw I think their chicken is absolutely amazing and beats a lot of halal spot chicken I've encountered. The food was solid, however, just like other storefronts, I think there's just something about food coming off of a food truck that makes it taste just a little better. While this wasn't bad, I expected it to match/beat their truck. What I DID really appreciate was that their price didn't fluctuate as compared to the truck price for food. I'm on my way home from going to Walmart and I happen to see a sign for Halal food in a gas station... My first thought was that seems a little sketchy, but it just so happens this is the best Halal I've eaten on Long Island. I found out it was Hazma and Madina which has a truck out in Nassau and I've heard very good things about them. $7 for the perfect amount of chicken, lamb, rice and the side salad. The white sauce wasn't thick, the hot sauce was actually very hot and the green chutney sauce was on point. For once it felt like I was eating Halal from the city. I came upon this place by accident, I stopped to get some gas and went inside to get a drink and noticed it. I went home and came back with my wife who is very picky about food. Food is not consistent. At first it was good and overtime I feel like it is not as good. I ordered 4 gyros the other night and the meat and rice were COLD. (I believe the meat was precooked and not on stove because the employee came late and I didn't see him actually make anything) Also there was no taste to it and my family was dissapointed because it used to be better.
