This was pretty yummy with the soft textures against the crispy wonton chip that's inside. The beef was good and the size is generous along with the pricing. The wait was about 10-15 minutes, and you can watch the workers cook it right in front of you. The space is very tiny inside so you will need to eat outside.

Very affordable and authentic foods. As somebody grew up in Tianjin city, this jianbing Guozi is very close to what I had when I was a kid. This is grab and go situation, as they have no seatings, but it's worth it.

Passed by this place several times. Finally got a chance to try it. Bring cash! Takeout only. I was worried that they wouldn't understand what I wanted to order so I took pictures. Turns out that I didn't need to worry. Beef Sandwich/Crepe/Jian Bing Guozi - it was like a Naan bread which is a 2 layer bread. It's the perfect meal ($5.00). Scallion Pancake was great ($2.00). With the food paper pocket, it makes it easier to carry the item and eat it. Great food, reasonably priced (inexpensive), food is ready in a short amount of time. Go give them a try.

i went on a saturday morning around 10:30am, and there was already a decent line! it seems like this place is really popular, and for a valid reason too!! i got the beef jianbing because it seemed like that was one of their most popular items. and WOW was it delicious!! it was so fresh and piping hot when it came out, i could barely hold it! i got the spicy beef shank inside, and it was so tasty. i liked the crispy cracker thing they put inside. overall, very flavorful & the portion size was hugeee!! it's so filling too. they split it in half, but the halves are huge so it feels like you're getting 2. it was only $8 too!! will definitely be coming back for this.

Amazing jianbing! Definitely add the crunchy layer for a little extra texture. Flavor is amazing and a perfect stop to a Flushing food crawl.

Continuing our food crawl per my last review, we stopped by to grab some more quick bites. This popular place routinely has long lines, I believe because of social media coverage. They have various items but I enjoyed a simple scallion pancake. Although I wished it contained just a little more scallions, it was perfect in every other way. I definitely will be back to try other items. But if you go, be ready for long lines.

4.5 Pretty good! A simple, high quality snack/breakfast/lunch. So...this isn't a crispy crepe or a pancake, more like a giant egg roll-up burrito (ie. TJ's gluten-free egg "pita/taco shell"). It's a VERY large portion. I got the Jian Bing with beef (thin-sliced stewed beef). The item's made with 3-4 eggs for the wrapper (not sure if the batter has other flours, sprinkled with scallion & cilantro. The chef had 2 eggs she was scrambling into it), drizzle of chili oil (asked for mild), a hoisin-like sauce, a generous amount of the beef, 3 giant flat crispy crackers (not greasy at all, very fresh looking). Folded 2x & cut in half. Each half piece is about 8" long. It's steaming hot! This is perfect with a milk coffee or yin yang from Taipan Bakery across the street. It's VERY egg-forward. Was worried that I wouldn't like it because of the mixed reviews. I wouldn't say the ingredient flavors are super strong - more subtle & fresh. I can see why it's a breakfast item in China. Next time I'd ask for the halves in 2 different paper sleeves. It's a little awkward to pull up 1 half resting on top of the other, especially towards the end. The shop is super tiny, but very packed. There's only 1 foot of standing space in front of the ordering counter - that's probably why there's lines, literally no place to wait. I ate a few bites in the office building lobby to the left of the shop & kept on my commute. I think the closest places to sit & eat (if they allow outside food) are Tangram Mall or New World Food Court a few blocks away. Very glad that I finally tried this viral item. The staff are very friendly & speak at least Mandarin & English. One recommendation would be a proper menu. Prices are listed next to large photos of the food items. Even for the Jian Bing, there isn't anything about the types of meat filling options (only knew of this from the reviews here). The customer ahead of me had some kind of ham filling. There was a steady stream of customers even on a cold rainy day - most were young & probably found out about the shop from social media, others seemed very local, ordering quickly in Mandarin. The service was pretty quick!

Oh yea- what you see is what you get. In what's known as THE LARGEST Asian cultural center outside of Asia, Eight Jane is proof Flushing is 'all that' and an egg wrap with chips. Aka jianbing. Speedy service with a smile.

Jian Bing Guo Zi to go.

I came all the way to try the Jian Bing Guo Zi but it was just meh. Mainly because it lacked flavor. Not that it was under seasoned, but it only had one dimensional flavor. I thought with the various layers and textures, my mind would be blown as soon as I bit into the JBGZ but I was disappointed. In fact, I disliked the middle crispy layer so much, I later replaced it with deep fried fish skin from Maxi's Noodles down the street when I sat down for a much better meal. Sorry, can't recommend 8 Jane.

I finally was able to haul my ass to Flushing in the morning to get an Eight Jane jianbing and I'm pretty pleased. For a holiday, there was still a slight weight but I think that's because jianbings are deceptively longer to make than you'd expect. It seems like it's the flour mix taking its time to solidify. The workstation was more immaculate than expected, relative to... Flushing's high foot traffic food culture. They seem to run a tight ship there; it was a little mesmerizing. I got the beef jianbing entirely because I couldn't understand what other flavors they have but that's partly because I find it hard to process fast talking people. And for $8, the size was substantial. I thought this would fall under a mild snack but no, I was pleasantly full. The bing itself could use less crackers and more components with flavor for my taste but whatevs, it's under $10. I have to say, the flavors themselves were light-- pretty consistent with more delicate palates in the East. I'm not the primary target audience, so it's not my place to say that's not how they should do it but this comment is more for people with a Western palate like mine; I was craving something with a richer flavor. I know, I'm a fat American.

Authentic pancake, really huge serving for only 6 dollars. Really great pork bun. I also it's a little saltier with thinner skin. I wish I brought vinegar for it. There's not seating so you might need to just eat as you go. But the aunties are super nice and divided the pancake into 2 for my friend and I. They have a big stone wheel that makes the pancake. They have a crisp or fried dough option. Each pancake has 3 huge crips with sauces. It's amazing. My friend and I went when they just opened so there was no line and it was fast.

Phenomenal jianbing! Cheap, hot, delicious! These come out piping hot- we had to wait in line ~20ish minutes but well worth it! So so tasty! Not really anywhere to sit, but it was pretty easy to eat on the go. I would definitely return! No complaints! You must try!

I went to Eight Jane to try the jianbing, and it was great! I came inside and the server was sweet. She took my order and gave me a number. The shop is small, so I mostly waited outside. I waited about ten minutes before my beef jianbing was ready, and it was delicious! Very warm, a little spicy, and good texture. Maybe I wished it was a bit sweeter, but then I noticed mine did not have beef! I came back, and they made me a new one, and I left very satisfied with both the food and service.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 4 Value: 7 I have not been here in a long time. Maybe because the prices are no longer considered cheap eats. Or maybe because my taste buds have evolved over the years. Or maybe it's just not as good as it used to be. The answer is maybe all three and somewhere in the middle. I have never came here, or any other Latino-Chinese restaurants in NYC, for service or decor, so let's set that aside. The value is still somewhat there, but the food did not hit that nostalgic note I was looking for. I wanted to get the Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas De Cerdo Frita), but our server suggested the "juicier" Broiled Pork Chops (Chuletas De Credo Asada) instead. Sorry to report, if that's juicy, then how dry is the fried pork chops? I shutter at the thought. It was also under seasoned. I substituted the House Fried Rice for my side at an $4.50 additional fee. It was just okay and not worth the upgrade. Boneless Crispy Fried Chicken (Chicharron De Pollo) was also a disappointment. The batter was more hard than crispy, but the idea that boneless dark meat isn't more juicy simply tells me that the chef over fried the pieces. It came with Fried sweet plantains, which could have been a but more ripe but not bad. I'm not sure how I feel about the Beef Stew (Carne Guisada), which had relatively tender meat, but the sauce was so weak and lacked any real flavor. The black beans and white rice that came with it was decent. What might bring me back to this restaurant sooner rather than later was the Shrimp Egg Foo Young (foo Young Con Camarones). I felt that the eggs were cooked extremely well, but the star of the show was that delicious brown sauce full of umami. Having this over white or fried rice made this meal much more acceptable. I'm not sure when I'll have another craving for this type of food. If I do, I'll definitely get the egg foo young again. However, the other dishes were misses for me, so maybe I'll try the Fried Pork Chops and Shredded Beef in Tomato SayceRopa Vieja.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.
