Overpriced, but we enjoyed the food and experience the first time we went, a few months ago. Second time around, we knew the drill on the QR code and placed our order. The karage was great, I just wish I could say the same for the ramen. First, waiter/chef brings the ramen to the table and it is covered in a cup (yes, a whole cup) of bean sprouts. Who puts mung bean sprouts on Tonkatsu ramen? It was on all three bowls. It was a massive pile after we all pulled them out of the ramen bowl and collected them on the karage dish. The waiter/chef, a couple of minutes later, brings over the eggs for the ramen on a separate plate. No - they weren't in the ramen. Once I removed all the bean sprouts and put the egg into my ramen, it wasn't bad.. but it was a weird scenario and at that price point, if I'm wanting weird, I'll go to some experimental dining place. read more

Wanted to support this local business, but seriously a mess. They have no servers, so one must order on the toast app. Unfortunately they also have poor phone service and no WiFi. So although the "server" watched me place my order, 15 minutes later he came out asking if I had placed my order as it did not go through. Never open when they say they are. Just overall poor execution. It's a shame bc the food was good when we had gone in the past but I'm not sure how this place is going to survive. read more

Ramen was excellent!! I had the BGI with bone broth. We are from Maui and love our Ramen. The flavor was really tasty. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. The fried rice was a 10 for 10. It has been years since I got Asian food while on vacation in a non Asian locale. I had heard from some locals that this place was good for ramen. We tried to order online for takeout, but, Hana's owner decided to stop doing takeout. So we ate there instead. It's a small little place on the way to Park City. They share a parking lot with Taco Bell. Across the street is a Walmart Supercenter. My bowl of ramen had wood ear mushroom, bean sprouts, and a piece or two of chashu. The soup was hot and had a good porky flavor to it. My wife ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. It was similar to my bowl without the wood ear mushroom. Noodles were the thinner kind. Service was okay. They had a Mandarin speaking woman working there who took our order. All she did was take our order and our money. Water was self serve. The price was higher than average, at least for me. Overall, I thought it was a good place especially during the snowy season when it is cold. My wife did not like the place as she thought it was too expensive and that they could not throw in an egg at their inflated price. I would come back if I wanted ramen when in this area. My wife? We love ramen - it is a top five food for my wife and I. We came from SoCal a lot of years ago and missed the quality and breadth of ramen choices there. Park City is beginning to get some decent ramen and we now have several choices here. I have been to Hana Ramen a few times and really want to like it but now that there are other alternatives I am not going to go back. First, the food - it is fine, nothing to write home about but the broth has decent flavor (I almost always choose tonkatsu) and the chahsu pork is good. I also like their bao buns which are a personal favorite. However, the restaurant itself is a dump. Look at the Yelp photos and a discerning eye will notice almost no photos of the interior and that is because there is nothing to show. I also found the service to be mediocre at best. All in all, you get decently priced ramen with no atmosphere and little service. Maybe the competition will cause them to up their game but not seeing it so far. read more

This place is simply okay. I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and while the broth tasted decent the noodles were slightly undercooked (usually I like chewy/Al dente) and it was outrageously expensive... $20 without even half a soft boiled egg I also didn't like the chashu which only had a strong porky flavor (compared to the marinated and charred slices that are typical for ramen). The service was really curt and not necessarily friendly, and when you walk in an almost repulsive smell hits you. There's also a pasta press to make the noodles right in the dining room which could've added to the aesthetics but in my opinion made the dining room seem less appealing. Another thing I found unappealing is the forks on the tables were facing upwards for customers to grab which is a big no no in the restaurant I work at because the tines were exposed for anyone to accidentally touch... just a detail that I found odd Overall if you've never tried ramen this place would be good but compared to others I've tried it was average. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. There are no waiters, only 1 greeter that can barely speak English. All orders are placed via a Toasttab QR code with minimal detail on the food. The greeter is not helpful on clarifying the menu items. We had to hunt down the greeter that just sits at a chair at the end of restaurant to be able to get some water. Hana has been getting a lot of buzz, for good reason. It's the closet thing to Japan we have. The noodles are hand pulled as well. They have a limited menu, and it's the better because of it. They can put their full effort into what they are serving. It's not the cheapest around by a long shot, but it's worth what they charge. Each time I've been here has been excellent. The broths, meat, eggs, and noodles have come together better than anywhere else in Utah, so far. I'd also be remiss if I didn't cover the Ika Geso Karaage Deep Fried Squid Legs. I recommend it over the original. All dishes may be customized. I opted to have a soft boiled egg added ($2). Additional spice flavoring is available at the table. The space is decorated whimsically with fun graphics and textures. Music is a light jazz and creates a mellow portal in which to eat. The concrete floor holds moisture from snow being brought in on the shoes of patrons, so be careful to not slip in the winter. Your menu is accessible via QR coffee at the table. Service was prompt and friendly, with a single server/hostess who was great at explaining things. Note: for drinks, just go grab a soda from the fridge then it will be added to your bill. This place desperately needs more staff! We were craving ramen and saw posts of this place on TikTok as the best ramen in Park City. We are from Orange County, CA so we have some of the best ramen but I kept my expectations low. When we walked in, there was no staff and lots of tables with dirty bowls still on them (already a bad sign). We waited and a man came from the kitchen and told us to have a seat. We had to order by scanning a code and there were no descriptions on the different ramens and there was no one to ask either. We also had to take our own water. The man was the only staff there that day and he was the one making the ramen and also cleaning the tables. He also came out to get the dirty bowls at one point and I think it is because he ran out of bowls and he needed to clean them for future orders (including ours). When we got our ramen, the portion size was much smaller than what we are accustomed to in OC and there was a lack of flavor. I do see a potential in this place as people like to have Ramen in cold weather but they need to hire staff and clean up the place! read more

Meh. Ok-ish, good but definitely not great Ramen place. I appreciate the effort they've made in developing their ramen and the place but ultimately it's not stellar ramen. I like some of the decor inside like the wall mural. Was served by a non-Japanese East Asian lady. She was helpful. Had a Sapporo draft, it was ok, could have been a lot colder. Started with the Chashu pork buns. The bun was ok - big, sauce was ok, both were similar to other Chashu buns and sauce I've had before. The star of the show, the Chashu however was... not good. A single very thin and very small slice of Chashu, about half fat and with no braising or added flavor. And the bun to Chashu ratio is just way off. I had ordered the fat boy Tonkotsu ramen which was listed as coming with extra Chashu. It's a large, attractive bowl of ramen with lots of toppings. The broth was creamy appearing like a good Tonkotsu but it had no depth to it and was surprisingly bland for a broth listed as having a "rich 2 day bone broth, Shio tare and Negi oil". The noodles were decent and a good quantity. The toppings were pretty good, Wood Ear Mushroom, Scallions, bamboo shoots, nori seaweed and an egg. The egg however was a brown egg, not marinated and a little slightly too well done. The Chashu was the same Chasu, very thin and small slices of Chashu, about half fat and with no braising or added flavor. So... ok but would not go out of my way to go here. I came back to the Hana Ramen Bar after visiting shortly after their opening several months ago. Although I had a good bowl of ramen the first time I went there, the service was what I'd describe as being clunky. And their initial limited hours of being open only in the evening was an issue as I am usually in the area in the day. Now open for lunch, Hana Ramen has resolved that issue. I made a visit to get ramen for lunch and came away with a generally good impression but a few reservations as well. As my choice from the digital menu, I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, a generous portion, which was served in a cool stoneware bowl. The server had asked if I wanted an egg and I replied positively. The broth was excellent as were the noodles. It also featured two nice slices of charsu with a couple of slices of bamboo shoots and slices of ginger, which I usually don't see in ramen. I mentioned how good the broth and noodles were to the server who told me that the owner had worked under a Michelin 3 star chef and had learned his recipes from that chef in Japan. He also claimed that the noodles were made by and shipped from Japan to Hana by that chef. And he explained that the broth was made not only from the regular bones of a pig, but that the whole head was cooked and that some of the richness came from the fat in the brain. Quite the story! Anyway, whether true or not, the ramen is one of the best I've had in Utah. As the price of the ramen was listed as $17.50, a bit higher than I usually pay for ramen in the area I skipped getting a drink. After my meal the server told me that my total was $21.46, I thought the total was a bit high. But I tagged on my tip and the total came in over $25.00. Pretty pricy for a bowl of ramen, even if it was great. I later saw on an emailed receipt that I had been charged $19.50 for the ramen and another $2.00 for the egg. Wow! I guess it might have been worth it in a nice restaurant, but even thought it's in Park City, the venue is kind of like eating inside of an old bus, torn seats and all. I'd love to get their ramen again, but alas, I'll be sticking to more economic venues or ones that have an aesthetic appeal other than just the food quality. And for heck's sake, charge the price listed on the menu! read more

My wife and I went here for the first time in October of '24 and it was AMAZING the ramen we got was so flavorful and not too heavy but was still fulfilling. I don't care for seafood so I was skeptical when my wife wanted the Takoyaki but I tried it and that was amazing too! The service was decent, nothing fantastic about it but the server took the time to explain everything to us and made sure we were comfortable, and that is also during a time when another customer was upset at the server because the kitchen was taking longer for their meal (It had only been like 6 minutes) the server had explained the situation to them and they just didn't get it. I have worked in food service for over 10 years, and have to say, the server that handled that situation went far above and beyond to make sure the customer was educated regardless of how they were feeling. The Ambiance is general nothing too fancy and nothing too plain. Overall my wife and I had a great time the only thing I would change if I could would be the price... but that is pretty much out of anyone's hands in our current climate. read more

The ambiance and interior design is fine. That's the only good thing about this restaurant. I ordered the Katsu Curry. This cost $22! I would be OK with the price if the food was good. But the opposite is true. The katsu is dry, rubbery, and tasteless. The curry was very little and tasted very watery. The rice had this shreded green topping that tasted like green tea. The combination was nasty. No part of this dish tasted good. I would rate it zero if I could. Also, the water is self service and the cups they provide have really bad hard water stains. I was hopeful for some better spice and I'm sure if I'd found our waitress I could have obtained some more chili paste to add. Otherwise the ramen was good. Not great. We got fountain drinks but there was something wrong because none of our drinks had much carbonation so it tasted like water and syrup. We ordered all the different types of ramen for the 7 of us. They were out of the curry so we couldn't order the curry katsu plate. I liked the noodles of the ramen and the flavor was good but there was barely any meat so I wasn't totally satisfied.
