Fabulous experience here for dinner this past Thursday night while we were in town. We grabbed reservations a week out (I tried to book Friday but they were already full, so reservations are recommended!). We were sat at a table upstairs, intimate and cool vibes. Our waiter Billy was excellent - attentive, and gave us good guidance (and reassurance) on the menu and what we ordered! I started with the cucumber martini, very refreshing. For food, we ordered the crispy tuna tartare, wagyu bruschetta, chiller special roll, and the 2 hand rolls off the specials menu. I want to go back in time and eat it all again. Everything was excellent, but the chiller roll and wagyu bruschetta were at the top of the list. The wagyu bruschetta was the perfect blend of locally made baguette, tender wagyu beef, and drizzled pork butter. The chiller roll (Billy's favorite) was so unique and in the best way. We had a wonderful dinner at Yuki Yama, celebrating my cousin's bachelorette weekend. We made a reservation a week in advance, as spots tend to fill up quickly. The restaurant is located on Main Street and has plenty of space inside since it's two stories. Trish was an excellent host. She was great to talk to and made the whole visit very special for my cousin. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for our group. The sushi here is great. Very fresh and creative options. A member of our group has a sesame allergy and the staff took great care to ensure she had something good (and safe) to eat. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Park City. Reservations for dinner are highly encouraged - but I don't think they take reservations for lunch, so go early if you want to ensure quick seating. Sushi is over all solid - but don't expect the variety that you can find on the coasts. Nigiri are generously cut so keep that in mind. They also usually come two pieces to an order. The Black Cod is always good - but also comes with rice and bok choy with a spicy sauce. It's pretty easy to over order here. Chicken Kaarage are also a favorite dish of ours - it's hard to beat fried chicken. Staff is friendly and helpful. "Tatami" style seating is available in the back but we prefer the tables or bench booths. read more

Incredible experience for our anniversary. We sat at the sushi bar, and Cesar was our sushi chef while Brodie was our server; both were exceptional with their recommendations and served some of the best sushi we've had. Brodie also offered us two delicious and flavorful mocktails. We enjoyed the beef tataki, the executive roll, and the chef's 12-piece nigiri, which Cesar knocked out of the park. We also tried a red snapper dish with apple-style consommé, and it was all delicious. When we're back in PC, it's a must-visit for us going forward. read more

Came here for dinner and was seated right away (we did have a reservation). The server was super knowledgeable and helpful. He suggested this spice bomb for my vegetarian ramen & it was very flavorful with a good kick without being overly salted. We got vegetarian ramen, Richie green maki, California maki and a nigiri Ramen was delicious, the vegetables and the noodles (not vegan, the noodles do have eggs) had really good textures, the broth was delicious especially with the spice bomb. Richie green maki had creamy corn on top of a layer of the avocado which gave the sushi smooth texture and the vegetables inside of the roll gave it a good crunch against the smooth layer. California maki and nigrini were both good, the meat was fresh and good quality. I love sushi and this place was no exception. The uniqueness of choices on the menu made it fun to try non-traditional rolls and the fountain diet cokes with free refills are the way to my heart. I also really enjoyed the ambiance and seating even though it was a little hard to get out of the kotatsu table. The service was a bit scattered but the server game solid recommendations and we never waited too long for a refill. Walking down Main Street in Park City can feel overwhelming very fast when you start to think where you want to go to eat. I was popping in and out of stores all day and I asked where I should go. They recommended a sushi spot. So I decided to give it a try. They are pretty busy but I got there early and sat at the sushi bar. It is a little cramped but not awful. Laura and Dustin helped me choose the best options and let me tell you they sent me on a great journey. Everything tastes so fresh and incredibly well flavored. I didn't know the executive roll had cilantro in it and I probably would have asked with no cilantro if I got it again. But if you want sushi I would recommend trying this spot out. read more

We started with the demon slayer sake - for apps we did Miso soup, Crispy tuna tartare, pork gyoza, Waygu bruschetta, red crab gyoza - absolutely phenomenal. Mixed experience here. Much of the good was good, but the service was mediocre, the music was far too loud, and the price felt high. The server immediately trying to give $10 sodas to our small children without first asking the parents was unacceptable. We were disappointed to see that the chef's choice 6 and 12 piece sets each had pairs of fish - so only 3 and 6 kinds respectively. Every other sushi restaurant I've been to and ordered a similar set was unique pieces. Some kind of heads up or note on the menu would be much appreciated. We expected the nigiri to be seasoned somewhat, but it was not. Some has wasabi, one a micro green, and one a slice of lemon. Lastly, the timing and pacing of the meal was disappointing. My 12 piece set didn't arrive to the table until the other 4 diners had finished their meals - at least a 20 minute difference in arrival times. It's a bad experience to feel rushed eating $68 of fish because your table is already done with their meal. read more

Scored a 4:30 opening reservation here and was eager anticipation of knock my ski boots off sushi. Well as a party of six we got seated in a booth better for four, actually our booth had a bench that extend out that with enough space for us all. I asked if they could add another extender but nope. Odd as it was clearly designed more for four than six might have been nice, but sadly the wouldn't do it for us, COZY like a triple lift on both sides: minus a star!!! The chefs were umm will like most places in US. But give them credit most of our dishes were good. We got our tuna role that had the most hard rice I can remember. We had a several pieces and they were all bad. We finally tracked the waitress down and let her know our disappointment. Something we never saw before she asked if she could take it back to the chef to check, we said sure and she just reached out with her hand and picked up the eight remaining pieces okay.... ... that was strange and intrusive! Took foever after we finished everything when got our second round was just a bit better, but still harder than what good should be. Cleary the chef didn't try his second masterpiece. Honestly the second one was also hard and not acceptable for this kind of place, but we didn't bother asking refund. Most places would have comped the order oh well : - one star. All the other stuff was decent but not level I'd expect from a first rate place in Park City, guess the guest don't know great sushi or this was a bad day. Hi. This is my fave sushi place in the Park City zip code. During the tourist season they have a great selection of fresh and unusual fish, and some very creative preparations, coupled with a market price commensurate with the pocketbooks of their patrons. It is hard to get a seat at the bar as it is small, but that is where the magic happens. However, during the off seasons, you will be lucky to get canned tuna on rice. I expect the problem is that expensive fish goes bad quickly so they stock for a far reduced crowd. After all, Park City is a town of only 12,000 people, approximately, but expands to a buttload ( technical term) during ski season and Sundance, etc. The place is usually full, but it is worth waiting for a seat. Oh, try the ramen too. Best in the city. 2 days to make the broth evidently. Important Safety Tip: if you don't speak Japanese, don't try to fake it. I sat next to a 4 top where one guy was the "expert" and he was showing off for his buddies demonstrating his knowledge of basic Sushi words. But, the guy was saying thank you and I'll have.. in Mandarin. So don't be like that guy, OK? It'll be embarrassing for your companions. Oh, do Not Get a to go order. Yuk. So good! We walked in on a Monday night about 8pm. They seated us right away at the sushi bar, but that was only because the reservation had canceled. All the other seats were full. So make a reservation! This place was good. We had the executive, Bruce Lee, and a shrimp maki. I was so full I couldn't eat the maki roll. The executive comes with a habanero sauce, which I asked for on the side. Glad I did. I thought my tongue was going to fall off. The roll was so flavorful it didn't even need a sauce. Strolling Main Street in Park City at night and found Yuki Yama Sushi. They are a small establishment and were able to get us in even though we did not have reservations. This place was hopping and had a cool, hip vibe. They have a good varity of maki, combination rolls, sushi, ramen, hand rolls and potstickers. We were seated and ordered the red crab and kabocha gyoza potsticker, the 84060 roll and the executive roll. The warm crab gyoza was life changing. They were served with bacon and green onions in a miso butter sauce. I wish we had bread to soak up the extra sauce. The 84060 roll had tempora shrimp, red and snow crab with mango, spring greens, rolled in soy paper and a sweet soy sauce. It was fabulous. The crunch coupled with the flavor elevated this to one of my favorite rolls. The executive roll also contained tempora shrimp, avocado, topped with tuna, lime, sweet soy and habanero sauce. The crunch here with a drizzle of fresh lime blew us away. The staff here is very accommodating. They made excellent suggestions when asked. The star is the kitchen chefs with tasty, creative and flavor bombs all over the menu. I would highly recommend Yuki Yama Sushi to anyone who LOVES sushi and craves creativity.
