Amazing sushi, great atmosphere, and outstanding customer service. The staff and chefs were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

The service was awesome! The fish was delicious! I am so happy I stopped here. Everything was a great price and once again just amazing.

Visited this neighborhood joint for a quick sushi fix. Solid 3! - great location on Main Street (parking lot in the back ) - loved the TNT roll with scallops on top - friendly staff - fast service and our order tasted fresh - sushi rolls are smaller here which surprised us. But it's nice for bite size bc I don't like a lot of rice and it's nice to avoid the weird too big sushi piece that won't fit in your mouth. - prices were reasonable - it's a smaller shop and the tables are kinda close together. Kinda feels like you're eating with the random neighbors at the table next door. This was disappointing since "the neighbors" were distracting. We'll be more conscious the next time we visit and choose our table accordingly. -agadashi tofu - large portion but lacked flavor

Fantastic sushi! Phenomenal quality and ultra Fresh fish! quality, we like to sit at the sushi bar and talk to the chefs and other patrons. This place is a true gem. It gets super busy, especially on weekends and they don't take reservations. So get here earlier rather than later to avoid a rush or a wait. Food was really really great and worth the wait regardless.

Extremely slow. Took over 45 min for them to make our rolls and ended up having to get them to go due to having an appointment.

$16 - sad portion for appetizer- soft crab tempura- not good for the taste

Used to be my to go spot until I recently placed to go order and realized they raised their food price rapidly without improving the quality. - Soft crab tempura for $16 (1 star for food - I still don't understand why they charge $16 for 4 or 5 pieces of frozen crab, this is just an appetizer) don't waste your money to order this -yellow tail sashimi $20 (4 and 1/2pieces) - way over price for the portion and quality, see from pic - spicy scallop nigiri $14 for 4 pieces- you can see from the pic, not recommended at all -nigiri combo $16 for 3 pieces nigiri and some California roll and tiny tuna roll. Very sad portion and you can probably get better quality from the bucks Overall my bill is $70 for a very sad sushi dinner. Wished I was told the yellow tail sashimi is going to be 5 dollar per pieces and it is my bad for trusting the restaurant will provide quality like they used to. At the end of the day, this is just my personal opinion, I'm gonna try out another sushi place near by to see if I'm just have a high expectation on quality when I pay $70 for sushi / sashimi.

Really tasty tempura and the lunch specials are a decent deal. Portions are not huge but very good.

Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.

Service was attentive as usual, small restaurant but well lit and more than enough room to be comfortable. The omakase set is such great value here. Super fresh seafood. The sake flight was an added pleasure that accompanied the dinner so well. Don't remember all the names of each piece :) but left very satisfied and anticipating our next visit soon!

I got a small serving of tempura udon - it came with a piece of shrimp tempura and a giant piece of broccoli. It hit the spot. The restaurant's ambiance is such that it feels like you are dining alone, as the high-backed seating prevents visibility of other patrons, except for those seated next to you. Consequently, it is also impossible to see the staff. The restaurant utilizes technology to facilitate ordering and serving. Robot servers and automatic belt conveyers deliver orders to the table. Regrettably, it is challenging to request assistance from human servers. I dropped my napkin on the floor, and I was unable to request a replacement due to the absence of a call button, no option to order napkins on the tablet, and the invisibility of servers. This situation is unpleasant, particularly with soy sauce spilled on the table. I was quite frustrated. The constant overlap of loud radio music and zen music from the robot is not ideal. I would prefer it if the Japanese "Zen" music from the robot was played all the time, while the background radio station was turned off. The radio's energetic vibe does not fit with the restaurant's layout and atmosphere. Alternatively, using Zen music as background music and turning off the robot's music would be a better option. This is my opinion. I have mix uneasy feeling to dine here. I believe technology is most effective in a busy restaurant with adequate staff. The atmosphere, layout, music, staff, and food quality do not cohesively come together.

I'm placing this as one of my new favorite sushi spots on the Eastside! Four of us came for an early dinner around 4:30P on a Saturday and got seating right away in a booth. The restaurant is on the smaller end with just a few tables on each side and a few seats at the sushi bar. In addition to an appetizer, two of us shared three specialty sushi rolls and the other two in our group ordered the chicken katsu meal set. Our sushi arrived beautifully all on one plate. Each specialty roll included 10 pieces and they all contained a generous amount of filling with a relatively thin rice layer, making the average price of $18 - $19 per roll worth the value. + TAKOYAKI ($7.50): These deep-fried dumplings had a soft creamy interior and housed a small piece of tender octopus. Four pieces came in an order, topped with mayo, unagi sauce and bonito flakes. I loved the crispy exterior and they were served steaming hot. I am not sure they were made in-house or frozen, but they were delicious. + KOUSHI ROLL ($17.99): A crab, avocado and cucumber roll topped with cajun seared salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, green onion and fish roe. Between the crab filling and spicy mayo, this is a pretty creamy roll. The salmon on top had a very light sear, so while the smoky flavor was noticeable, I considered it closer to raw. The unagi sauce added some sweetness that offset the mild spice. + NAGOYA ROLL ($18.99): Tuna avocado roll topped with salmon, ponzu sauce, sweet sesame sauce, green onion and fish roe. The freshness of the fish especially shined here between the large cubes of tuna inside and the meaty slice of raw salmon on top. The sauce simply enhanced the roll without taking over the flavor, so it didn't distract from the purity of the ingredients. + SETO ROLL ($18.99): Spicy tuna and cucumber inside topped with tuna, ponzu sauce and green onion. This roll is HOT, like at least 3/5 stars on the spice scale! As spicy as it was, I really enjoyed it, especially since half the roll was topped with medium fatty tuna which was such a nice treat. Lean tuna draped over the other half. Chopped green onion on top added pops of freshness. The chicken katsu meal ($16.99) came with salad, rice and miso soup. I tried one piece of the chicken which was tender and had an excellent light crunch! Service was great as the two employees managing the dining room checked back a couple times and were actively watching in case any of the tables needed anything. I know I'll be back again for more sushi!
