    Taro rice yogurt

Refreshing and so good! Stopped by Gangnamcha while walking around the mall and it's a cute takeout window, perfect for grabbing a drink while you shop or after a poke grab. I got the Taro Rice Yogurt Smoothie and it was so refreshing and delicious! It's my first time to taste something with rice. My friends tried different drinks, and they loved theirs too. Everything was creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. Super friendly service and quick, too. Definitely coming back next time I'm here!

The best strawberry sago drink at half sweet! I keep coming back ever since I first tried it. Refreshing and not sweet. You can taste the fresh strawberry flavor and the sago gives a level of yummy texture to your drink. Update: Sago is a gluten-free, grain-free starch that can be used in baking, mixed with water, or added to desserts. But it has very little protein and few vitamins and minerals. Sago is a type of starch extracted from tropical palms like Metroxylon sagu. Shout out to Yelp buddy Tess M. for inquiring about Sago. In our warm and sometimes humid island weather, Gangnam Cha is a cool place to stop by for a delicious and refreshing drink. Halloween decorations are up now. Quick and fast service here. The watermelon drink is also very juicy and refreshing! This location is clean and brightly lit. Menu boards are easy to read. A printed out menu is also available at the register. Gangnam cha is located on the street level. Next to Yoajung. Makai side. Food: 4/5 stars Service: 4/5 stars Ambiance: 4/5 stars

Lychee and mango purple rice yogurt $7 each

Not too sweet - finally! Friendly and quick service. I ordered the mango purple rice yogurt and my friend had the lychee purple rice yogurt. Both drinks were smooth and not too sweet - just how I like it. The purple rice was okay, but I preferred the mango flavor overall - much better in my opinion. Pricing is very reasonable for the size compared to other places. I'll definitely be back to try the milk tea next time!

I've been to GangnamCha twice since it opened in the past year. It's located outside the food court, find Jollibee, go outside and take a left and there it is. I went for the Mango sticky rice drink which became popular over the summer here following the viral down to earth version. I've had 3 mango sticky rice smoothies and GangnamCha is my 2nd favorite with MangoMango being number 1 and DTE #3. This is my second time getting the mango sticky rice and the version I had in the summer was way better I'm not sure if it's because mango is out of season now (not sure if they do fresh or frozen) but I found today's a little more bland/icy compared to the summer which had a nice kick to it. The rice was also not as fresh tasting this time around. The summer version was a 5/5 but today was more a 3/5. I wish I would've got the November taro sticky rice special instead or their strawberry. I will still come back and try again to try out the other options. The drink was ready in 2-3 minutes and the young woman at the register was sweet and friendly. There's no tables here so take it back inside the food court.

Brown sugar milk tea with pudding

Great to see a bubble tea shop conveniently located outside of Makai market. The outside is clean and bright. Lotsa parking and prices are so good! Ordered strawberry smoothie, brown sugar milk tea with pudding and matcha milk tea. Service was good and the owners were very helpful and knowledgeable on all the menu items. They told us the matcha milk tea sugar levels could not be adjusted as they are premade. The strawberry smoothie came with pieces of fruit very thick and icy. The brown sugar milk tea was probably our favorite because of the pudding. The matcha tea was kinda grainy and okay...probably won't order again. Great to have another bubble tea option!

Located outside of the food court on the bottom level of Ala Moana, GangnamCha is a new-ish spot for rice yogurt, smoothies, and milk teas. It just has a counter you order at and you can see people making the drinks just past the counter. It seems pretty clean but can get a bit noisy with the cars passing by outside. There is also not really seating outside, besides a few benches, and so your best bet would probably be inside the food court. We got a matcha and a mango sago with boba. The matcha was sweet and tasted similar to the one from boba places like Sharetea. It did not taste super rich like it does from matcha places but this is not strictly a matcha place so it was not really expected. The mango sago was good, also sweet. A number of their top drinks are rice yogurt drinks so we would potentially try one of those next time!

Stopped by this spot at Ala Moana with a friend while shopping, and it was such a great find! We were looking for something refreshing, and this place totally delivered. I got the mango sago smoothie, and WOW--new favorite. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and a silky, satisfying texture. Super refreshing without being too heavy, and you can tell they use real fruit. My friend got the passion fruit sparkling water with coconut jelly, and she was obsessed! The coconut jelly added a fun, chewy texture that made it even better. Service was quick, staff was friendly, and the drinks were made fresh. Definitely adding this to our regular Ala Moana routine. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Takeout beverages only... in Honolulu Hawaii... Located on the ground level of Ala Moana Center is a Hot New Business called GangnamCha. It's situated between Yoajung and Poke & Box on the Makai (ocean) side of the mall. Service is efficient and friendly! I think their system flows well and is convenient because the window on the right is for ordering. The window on the left is for pick-up. Covered, shared parking is free and right in front of the shop. I appreciate it! I got the Lychee refresher with chewy coconut jelly. It was like a light, refreshing Lychee soda because of the carbonation. I also got the Mango iced tea. I liked the fruity flavor! It came with yummy coconut jelly! I'm ready to return and try the yogurt drinks!

A new boba place! In Ala Moana as well, taking over the spot of the late Yomie's Rice x Yogurt location. Cannot wait to check it out as this is right in my neighborhood instead of having to venture out all the wait to Kaimuki for purple rice yogurts! It's located in the back of the Makai Market where Curry House resides on Ala Moana Blvd side. There's free garage parking with ample stalls but could be very busy during rush hours and weekends. This shop is a takeout only shop with no sit down tables and chairs. They only had one size and one price which was a big 24oz cup. I got their Mango Rice Yogurt and had asked for it less sweet. It was definitely on the tartier side after asking for less sweet (my mistake there) but still very good. The purple rice was delicious - it was sweet, which helped with the tartness, and reminded me of in azuki red bean paste but still with a bite. This consistency is the perfect consistency that I loved in my drinks! The only small complaint I had was how the yogurt drink was created. It was blended, creating a slushy rather than a yogurt liquid drink. It was a bit too icy, and the mango flavor was hidden. However, once the drink melted, it tasted very good! Definitely will be back for more in the future! I would love to try their milk teas as well!

One of the best hole in the walls at Ala Moana. It is located on the bottom floor of Ala Moana near/next to the poke box. The outside of the store front is clean, simple, and cute! When my mom and I arrived, we could see the menu as well as the most popular drinks. I can honestly say that helped me make my decision when ordering my drink. When ready, the register man was super friendly and took our order right away. The staff were fast making our drinks. I swear it took less than 5 minutes. We ordered: Mango Purple Rice Yogurt- 10/10. The mango was blended so smoothly and the purple rice was soft. A great combo! Taro Smoothie with Pudding- 100/10. It was by far one of my mom's favorite. The taro smoothie was creamy and had a strong taro flavor. The pudding was soft and added just a touch of sweetness to the overall drink. *Plus, there is only one size for all drinks- I can't complain it was worth the price* If you're ever at Ala Moana and want to try a new drink place, this is where you should visit :)

Nice Cha meet you... Congratulations on your first day (May 3rd) as I almost passed right by their quiet opening...literally. GangnamCha has taken over Yomie's spot right outside of Makai Market Food Court in fact their wall mount sign is still there but here they are woohoo! Offering some fresh sips ready for summer though they didn't have much of the fresh fruit teas that usually my preference though did have some Sparkling Water items sounds very refreshing. I decided on the Strawberry Rice Yogurt and let me tell you at $5.95 it was a huge cup that I really didn't expect and the gentleman is very humble and kind as he asked what I liked and my usual drink, you order at one window and pick up at the other...easy system. The drink was nice not too sweet and was very nice and refreshing on this hot day and can see that this will be a great option especially being right across from the beach and mall shopping is a great relief that's very much needed. Thank you!

I got to try GangnamCha in Ala Moana Shopping Center, by Makai Food Court the other day. The service is exceptional their offerings are solid. This location is new, and consequently very clean. Grab-and-go! I ordered the classic milk tea with boba, at half sweetness. The drink had a good tea flavor, the sweetness was perfect for me and the boba texture was satisfying. The boba is smaller than at other locations, but good nonetheless. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would frequent for the customer service alone. Check out GangnamCha!

I am always on the hunt for some bubble tea and different flavors. My recent obsession has been mango sago and lo and behold - Gangnamcha was advertised to me on my social media. We went today to try it and it did not disappoint! The mango sago was yummy, sweet, and super refreshing. The shop is a little tucked away next to curry house and yoajung. The person who took my order was sweet and prompt. The location is a little hidden, but the drink was worth the search. Will be back!

Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Decent food but poor service…read more Nalu Health Bar & cafe is located in the south shore market at Ward on the ground floor. Seating is limited so it may be difficult to find seating especially during high traffic meal times. May have better luck finding seating outside. I've been here multiple times for lunch and had multiple different items. The acai bowl are good. I like getting the Nalu salad which is always a decent serving and tastes fresh. The sandwiches are also pretty tasty. My main issue is the service. I'm not sure if part of their training is to ignore the customer as much as possible because that has been my experience on multiple occasions. The most recent visit, I had ordered online and was going to pick up m food for takeout. There were three workers at the front just talking. I walked to the counter and was ignored. I could see where the orders are placed and didn't see anything there so figured my order wasn't ready yet. I stood on the side for at least 5 minutes without any greeting or acknowledgement. Not a single person made eye contact with me. When I saw an order placed on the back counter one of them grabbed it and placed it on the takeout counter without calling out the name and went back to chatting. I had to actively try to get their attention at which point I was looked at like I was bothering them. Asked if my order was ready and was handed it without any further interaction. I don't expect happy go lucky people and conversation but at least basic customer service.
