The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.

It comes in the cutest reusable glass bottle, and they let you return it (washed) for store credit -- such a great eco-friendly touch! I chose Kauai Juice company and had my very first juice which to this day is one of my favorites. Since July, I've branched out to not only the juices, and juice shots, but also the tinctures. They've got a truly spectacular selection of supplements as well as salads, chocolate and honey. I also enjoy their merch. I bought a Kauai Juice racer back tank that I practically lived in the entire summer long! All of the juice baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised with the shopping opportunity at their cute little shop, Minnie's Mercantile, and bought homemade beef tallow lotion, ranch style shirts and earrings, hat, and a cute cowhide wallet. For this being a small family-ran store there were lots of gifts and souvenirs to choose from, the more we looked around the more we added to our purchases! The owner was very friendly and shared their 5 generations of family history raising cattle with us. The handmade products they sell reflect their proud cattle ranching heritage by using beef tallow as an important ingredient in their skincare products and one of their hats had the various family cattle brands incorporated into the design. Although this was a quick stop to grab steaks we really enjoyed talking to the owner and the shopping experience. I highly recommend stopping by! Next time, I'll get the poke, which is supposed to be good. Fish Tacos just seemed like a thing to get on Kauai. The 'well done' ahi was spicy & flavorful. A blackened taste, which I love. Had to scoop off a ton of toppings to find it, but once I did, it was yummy. The other fish, was pretty bland. We did nearly screw-up our order, so I appreciate the frantic girl in charge, not getting mad at us and adjusting things for a last-minute fix.
