    Poke and brown rice

Poke and brown rice was perfect - some of the best food we had on the island. Wasabi sauce was also amazing!

Very fresh fish and tasty, unfortunately being a Californian with lots of amazing Mexican at hand I can't say the tacos were great, they were good but the fish was great.

Food is AMAZING. We loved everything we ordered...my daughter enjoyed the teriyaki chicken breast, mac salad, and rice...SUPER tender chicken and really tasty. I had the poke plate with added kimchi cucumbers which were yummy. Perfect portions...worth it. My husband enjoyed his shrimp tacos...he said it was the best meal of the day. Highly recommend this spot. Low key restaurant...chill vibes. SUPER helpful and wonderful staff.

This was a great plate lunch in the Kilauea area. I stopped here after visiting the Kilauea Lighthouse and it was exactly what I was craving. The chicken was flavorful and tender. I wish there were more potatoes in the Potato & Mac Salad, but it was still delicious. I probably should have order fish, considering it is a "fish market", but I was satisfied with my chicken. Next time I will try some seafood.

Came here since we needed a place to chill for lunch around the area and it was pretty good. You order inside and eat outside on their tables. I tried out these items. Grilled Fish Tacos - Pretty good, I liked it. Fresh fish with tasty sauce. Worth getting. (4.5/5) Grilled teriyaki Chicken Breast Plate - Healthy, I got this with brown rice and it was a very clean dish. Decently juicy. (4/5) Overall good spot for a quick bite. Tasty food. Parking - Plenty in the lot.

After being seriously let down by a poke bowl at another spot in Princeville, this place totally redeemed my day. and shoutout to the guy working the counter too. Super patient, friendly, and made ordering easy. Kilauea Fish Market is tucked behind the plaza, across from the main Kilauea Market, and it's absolutely worth the stop. I ordered the sesame tuna poke and it was so fresh and flavorful. I added kimchee cucumbers, shoyu jalapeños, and seaweed salad, and every topping was fire. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The setup is simple but done right. Inside is small, just enough room to check out the deli case and place your order. Water, utensils, and sauces are conveniently set up to the left. Outside is where you want to eat. They've got a chill outdoor seating area with a few bar-height tables plus picnic benches along the side of the patio. For the quality and portion size, it's absolutely worth the price. If you're craving fresh poke and don't want to be disappointed, this is the spot.

This place was packed when I stopped by for dinner. It looked very chaotic and the workers looked frantic but the food was exceptional. I had their seared ahi plate which was so so good. I love that they give you a lot of side salad too. The seasoning was delicious as well as the dipping sauce that came with it. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Poke Plate with Tuna - $18

We were in Princeville during our visit to Hawaii, and were interested in trying some delicious Hawaiian Poke nearby. Kilauea Fish Market looked to be an interesting pick as it seems to be highly rated by both locals and island visitors alike. We went on a Friday around dinnertime (6pmish) and got our order quickly. The restaurant itself is located in a shopping plaza - there are plenty of spots for many cars to park, and I can't see it filling up even during meal rush hours. Service is fast and casual, you first go in to place your order at the register, then you stand by, and then they will call your name and you can pick up your order and seat yourself. The only seating options are outside the restaurant, as the interior only has ordering - There are about 10-15ish seats right outside. Since we ordered poke, we got our order almost instantly - I did notice it could take up to 10-15 minutes to get your order if you order any of the other options on the menu. I got the poke plate for $18 - they had a tuna option for the day. The poke was decent, the fish tasted fresh and had a pleasant kick of spices. There were also some strands of onion to give a more varying texture. The food and service were good. I just think that the price was the thing the turned me the most after receiving the food. In my opinion, charging $18 for a singular scoop of poke with rice is very steep - I didn't walk away from this meal feeling a quarter full. I know that it could be better too, I was able to try other poke places on Kauai and was able to get more variety and even 1-2 more scoops of fish for the exact same price. In the end, the food was decent, but if I am in the Princeville area and want some poke, I might try and visit a different establishment. The steep prices for getting what easily accessible and iconic dish of Hawaii turned me away, but if you are really craving it, it will fill that need in a pinch.

The fish was fresh. You get generous fish portions in the poke plate: they give you a 1/3 pound portion of it. You get your choice of a side as well- I got the edamame, which was really good. The edamame was tossed in a flavorful sesame oil I believe. I liked that it was open late- open til 8pm, in contrast to other poke places which seem to close early. They also have grilled tuna steak, kalbi short ribs, and fish tacos too.

Kilauea Fish Market is on 4270 Kilauea Rd. Kauai You walk in side to place order picnic tables outside under a nice size patio and busy inside Menu outside, but they have specials inside to And cold water too Counter service is great, very busy cooking and see fresh in fridge case. My first I had Ahi Tacos amazing dressed and cooked to my liking. They ask how you'd like it cooked my was medium We had 5 different orders Veg Tacos, Kalbi plate Seared Ahi Korean bbq chicken Very casual outside enjoy We came back twice this week That's how we all really enjoyed everything about the fresh fish and chicken fresh ingredients They are keeping it so real here. I know it's a "fish market," but I've got to say, the chicken was the star of the show. So much, that I had to go back a second time for more. And yes, we tried fish both times and the chicken was still the winner of the meal. Can't go wrong with the Korean BBQ chicken or the teriyaki. Though the prices are a little high, you do get a ton of food for what you pay for which is awesome. The kids portion is big as well if you've got a hungry kiddo. Fairly quick service, and everyone is served in order from what we could tell. A little water station was available for customers as well! There's a few tables under an awning or a few picnic tables outside as well. High chairs available!

Fresh catch and delicious food. I shared their grilled ono tacos, ahi wrap, and side order of poke. I was a bit skeptical about the wrap because in general I think wraps just sound unappetizing lol. Like a cold tortilla wrapped with stuff just call it a burrito at that point. Anyways after reading review upon review, it seems like everyone gets the ahi wrap and there was nothing but positive things. So, I gave it a try. It was stuffed with brown rice, carrots, green, cucumbers, and ahi with a sesame dressing. The sesame dressing definitely is the star of the wrap, it's delectable. Without the dressing I would say the wrap is nothing special tbh. Fish tacos and poke were both yummmm. I came right before the dinner rush, but the food still took quite a while to come out (maybe close to 25 minutes). There is outdoor seating but a lot of people were doing takeout.

I got the Ono and Shrimp Tacos, delicious and fresh to order. The cilantro aïoli was perfect add on to the tacos. Great meal to end the night after being at the beach all day. It can be a wait but I thought everything was great. The Mac Salad was amazing as well.

We also loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is open and airy, with plenty of fresh air, creating a relaxed island vibe. We started with several small plates. The beet salad was fresh, beautifully prepared, and large enough to share. The highlight of the appetizers, however, was the local Kauai prawns. They were perfectly cooked and served sizzling in an iron skillet with a rich, lemon-butter sauce that was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-order! For our entrées, we had the Catch of the Day and the Chicken Marsala. The Catch of the Day was outstanding--fresh, expertly prepared, and easily the star of the meal. The Chicken Marsala was flavorful and well-cooked, though it was just a little saltier than I personally prefer. Overall, the food quality was great, the service was friendly and attentive, and the entire dining experience was outstanding. If you're visiting Kauai, don't miss the Catch of the Day--it was exceptional! We highly recommend The Bistro for delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The group started with Caesar salads, house salad & the beet salad. For entrees, 2 chose blackened sea bass, 2 chose the pork chop w/ pineapple whiskey sauce. Also chose chili pepper chicken & mushroom risotto croquettes. Kids had fettuccine Alfredo. All were good except we found a piece of plastic in the croquettes. Obviously those were returned. The pork chop was served with perfectly cooked sautéed spinach. However, the sauce was thin & had no hint of whiskey. The chicken was kind of dry - it needed a dipping sauce. Lilikoi cheesecake was good, not great. The berry compote served on side overpowered the lilikoi sauce drizzled on the plate. Service was friendly & fairly prompt. Overall, a nice dinner, but not anything to rave about.
