I had my car inspected at one of the big chains and they told me that they had noticed that I had "no pad" left on my front brakes. They said I needed to get them changed immediately and quoted me a ridiculous price. For my car, good replacement pads are around $40 and replacement rotors are around $100 each (which even if you're not a car person - it's easy enough to check on a website like autozone). I read some yelp reviews and went to Brake Stop on Live Oak. I was very pleased with the level of service at Brake Stop. I left the car with them and Carlos called me with several options, explaining the pros and cons of each. They were much more reasonable than the large chain and I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work. I can't recommend them enough for brakes. Thanks guys! read more
